In a parallel universe, Jim Carrey's career doesn't take off as well as it did here and he ended up making dozens of Ace Ventura movies, essentially filling the Ernest shaped void left by Jim Varney.

I've always said, if Jim had created the character in the early 80's, he'd have been right alongside Ernest, Elvira, Pee-Wee, Cheech & Chong, and Mr. Bean. Maybe in the early 90s we could've gotten a "80's comedic character Cinematic Universe".

I was a teenager in high school when both of the Ace Ventura movies came out, and like so many others, I just couldn’t get enough of Jim Carrey. I had previously thought he was the clear standout on In Living Color, but once Ace Ventura, The Mask, and Dumb & Dumber all came out in the same year in 1994 and Jim was really allowed to shine? Wow was it fun. Some part of why I enjoyed movies in the mid and late 90’s maybe more than any other time in my life was Carrey. It just felt great to laugh, and in such a new way. I can remember when When Nature Calls came out, my local theater chain in Michigan had a great promotion. You paid around $20 for a large plastic When Nature Calls popcorn bucket, and you could keep bringing back to movies the entire summer for 3-4 months for unlimited free refills! For a frequent moviegoer, it was THE most incredible deal for me, and u used it so many times. Wish theaters would do something like that today.

Yes, I was 7 when Ace Ventura: Pet Detective came out and my parents took me to see it… Jim Carrey became my idol ever since. I followed his career from them on.

As a huge Jim Carrey fanboy, I LOVED THE ACE VENTURA FILMS!
But since, this is all about When Nature Calls.
As much as I love this sequel as much as the first film.
The behind the scenes stories must have sound exhausting for both Jim Carrey and the crew behind the film.
    Also, as we all know.
It was sequel, that made Jim Carrey not interested on doing sequels to his own film.
With the exception of Dumb And Dumber To, Along with Sonic Movie 2, and soon Sonic Movie 3 by this Christmas.
Even though, those rumors of Morgan Creek producing a third Ace Ventura film back in March 2021 with the writers or the Sonic Movies.
And Jim Carrey wouldn’t revisit his older roles like Ace Ventura or The Mask.
Unless, there’s some crazy visionary filmmaker that could reinvent his classic characters in a refreshing direction.
    He would consider.
But for now, it seems he wouldn’t be considered to return for an Ace Ventura 3 or The Mask 2.
So instead, he’ll commit on playing Dr Robotnik for Sonic 2 & Sonic 3.
Since Jim passionately loves the role of Robotnik.
Plus, he loves that the character grows and evolves as each Sonic film progresses forward.
Which is why, Jim would rather work on the Sonic Movie sequels.
I’ll say that’s fair enough for him.
But deep down inside, if there was a filmmaker and a decent script for Ace Ventura 3.
I would love to see Jim Carrey return to Ace Ventura 3 as an opportunity for his character to get a true proper closure.
Probably out of retirement in his Pet Detective career.
And save wildlife animals from poachers, wildfires in their natural habitats, or any species going extinct.
That’s my hypothetical pitch for an Ace Ventura 3: The Last Chapter.

No, It’s not gonna happen! Would all of you blind people stop pushing for more unnecessary sequels?? It’s annoying as hell 😣 what are you people’s obsession with constantly wanting more of the same movies?? We’ve already seen so many horrible sequels like Star Wars and the Jurassic movies… we don’t need to ruin more classic movies with more shitty sequels. You’d think you wouldn’t want more sequels because you’ve seen so many bad ones… we don’t need need milk anymore movies

When nature calls has so,e of the funniest carry moment of his entire career. The rhino. The fight scene. The driving and board room with the hand puppets. By far way funnier than the first one.

I liked this one better than the first, and I was a jaded teenager when I first saw it, too! I think it's because it's a flick my dad & I enjoyed together. That tends to have done the trick back then.

😂❤I disagree with Carrey .I think that Ace ventura bring afraid if bats yet a hero for all animals really humanizes the character as everyone is afraid of something. The Alrightyyy thennn Monk chant is so hilarious af🤣

Didn't think AceVent2 was anywhere NEAR as good as the first movie. That said, first time I saw that Rhino scene, it had me doubled over gasping for breath, the 2nd scene that had me rolling on the floor was the shadow play scene. I was a lot younger back then 😄
