Our kiddo spoke 7 words at 24 months. He had an IFSP between 2-3, but did not qualify for service after that point. We pushed and did our research and got him on an ISP from 3-5 and made amazing gains. He started kindergarten with a IEP, but was released from speech seduces and IEP free immediately after winter break. Early intervention is the absolute best and we will tell anyone and everyone to pursue services if they are concerned. Way to listen to your instincts Carlin and Evan!
Pub health Dr here and many GPs and peds often say ‘boys develop more slowly etc ‘ and unfortunately don’t push for early intervention. So thrilled you guys advocated for your sweetheart and it can only be beneficial!!!
I'd recommended keeping a small fridge in the garage for emergencies 👍 and, also extremely useful for the overspill of food storage at times like Christmas
I was going to make the same kind of suggestion. I was going to say to has a second full-size fridge. We have 2 fridges & 2 upright freezers. The extra fridge is handy for extra groceries & holiday time when you need to keep extra food cold.
Yall are just the sweetest best parents! You can just see and tell how much love you pour in to your kids! Thank God for mamas and daddy’s like you all. You’re so blessed! God bless y’all always ❤
I can just imagine Zade giving the best speeches and saying the best prayers , when he is older . 💙 He will do so well !!! I LOVE hearing him talk now too though !!!! Sweet voice !!!! 🥰🥰🥰 Congrats on the car ! Looking forward to seeing the slumber party ! 🤍
I’m a retired teacher and feel the earlier you can give them speech therapy the faster you can correct it! My daughter was 18 months when I took her for an evaluation. The doctor said to wait until she goes to school. No way!! She got services, and they first told us 1 year to 18 months to correct things but in 6 months she was done! They never even saw any signs of speech issue when she went to school!! Kudos to you!!
Carlin and Evan, you two were made to be in front of the camera. Best personality awards go to both of you! You guys have the sweetest family, so thankful for your videos :)
Glad you got the car you wanted. Congratulations on your Tesla! It’s beautiful! The kiddos are adorable. Zade will do great with the speech therapist. ❤
You were talking about kids not wanting to take down their Christmas trees, I saw another channel switch their Christmas decorations for Valentines decorations. I thought that was a cool idea. Especially since your family Celebrates, I Love You Day. I love your entire family. Our Church is small and we have Valentines couples party. We have used some of your family's themes. It is so much fun. Thank you for sharing your lives with us.
Congrats on the new vehicle. I'm glad you've found something that works for you and makes you happy (no matter what some commenters are saying). Glad that y'all have a plane for Zade. I look forward to following that progress. I'm also looking forward to seeing your slumber party and snow footage next week. Have a great weekend!
A tongue tie can be overlooked by pediatricians and even speech therapists....A pediatrician dentist can help diagnose that and would be worth checking out...Early intervention is definitely the key...Good parenting guys....
Yes I watch two RUclips families what's happening to be two sisters families in the Each had a young child that was having issues with their speech and for both of them they had tongue ties... good point
I love you all. It is the highlight of my week to watch you. I have always adored the Bates family, and Evan your entire family is also so special. Always enjoy seeing them and your relationship with them.
@the Stewart fam SAMS Club has a small chest freezer for $199. I have had one for several years. Can’t do without it. Can buy frozen chicken strips, fries, pizza, breakfast sandwiches etc. Also your outside furniture needs canvas covers including the blackstone. Take chair cushions to the garage. Not meant to be outside in winter. I even cover in summer when expecting days of rain.
Speech therapy is amazing my daughter struggled with her speech and did speech for a year and her improvement was night and day. It’s now to the point where she didn’t need to continue this year. Good job for doing what you think is best for your kids. I also love the choice in the car….. I absolutely love Tesla and was so sad when you said what happened to your last one. We are also planning on getting the exact same Tesla sometime this year too and we are a family of 4 I think it’s the perfect car. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
I went to Whole Foods on Papermill Rd Thursday & it was complete chaos! The snow was pretty, so glad I didn't have to be out driving in it. So thankful Zade likes his Speech Therapist, prayers for him.
Evan and Carlin, we got 8 inches here at my house in Southern Oklahoma. I'm 59 and I got out there and made 2 mini snowmen. Really enjoyed your video. I had speech therapy when I was little. Looks like Layla and Zade were so excited about the new Tesla. Love the color of your Tesla! Can't wait till your next vlog. Stay safe and warm. Love y'all and God Bless!❤️❄️
my youngest grandbaby is just started speech therapy - the best thing her parents have found is teaching her to read allow to them - spot the dog etc simple books - they are so proud of themselves when they can do it without help
My daughter homeschools and all her children have had speech substitutions and found when she started teaching the alphabet and reading they picked up and actually understood why the sounds they were using were incorrect and were much more willing to correct their mistakes and it’s super fast. Compare that with my son who spent years in speech therapy things were slow. He had individual private and group lessons in school.
No matter how long Zade is in Speech you will never regret it!! Early Intervention for whatever reason is THE BEST DECISION you will ever make for your children!! Way to Advocate & follow through!!!
It's so interesting to see people getting all excited about that amount of snow! Coming from Northern Canada here so that is not a lot of snow for me. But your excitement makes me want to go and enjoy it with y'all! 😂 Hope you get your fridge sorted out! ❤
Helping Z with speech therapy is the sign of great parents. He will benefit now and always. Early therapy is as essential as training wheels on a bike for kids.
Lol! I'm not sure if anyone else does this, but when I was little we had ice storms come through and took power out for over a week. My parents took our food from the fridge and put it outside by the door, its as cold or colder outside and it'll keep your food good. Cooking it on the other hand is a little more difficult....grill it up lol! I've done this a couple times myself
Congratulations on the car! Zade will do Great with his therapy, it will help and boost him so much, but yes, he is doing great, but this will just be an extra boost. Stay safe! We got dumped over 6 inches of snow last night and that is the most we got all winter so far and we are in Northern/Central part of Minnesota. Cannot wait for the next Vlog!
Chattanooga is a great place . That's where I live. You need to bring your family back this spring and enjoy the many attractions of our town .. Your family is so adorable... Enjoy your new car .
During your winter weather your refrigerator is outside your back door! Be sure to keep things in plastic tubs with weight on the lids to deter wildlife taking advantage.
I agree, This weather is good if your fridge breaks down, I set things on a table outside my back door during holiday cooking and large leftovers ,everything stays fine .
Congrats on the speech therapy for Zade. My grandson started at like 2 years old, & he just turned 3 on Christmas Eve, & his talking is perfect now. Keep us up to date on his progress. Love you guys!
Early intervention is ALWAYS helpful!!! So glad you like the therapist and it can only be beneficial for your sweet kiddo. Also, laughing because I’m with Travis … here in Minnesota it’s funny to see the south shut down when there’s a medium amount of snow. We get blizzards and literally nothing shuts down. But so happy for the kids to have fun in the snow together. Thanks for a fun vlog. Hope the weekend was fun!!!!!
You guys can have all the snow here in Michigan. It cracks me up to see you get a couple inches, and you shut everything down. we'd never have anything open 😂😂
Yes I live in Michigan in Saginaw and I had some family that moved from here to Tennessee actually like 2 hours away from most of the Bates family and when they first moved down there and got snow they mentioned everything shutting down and I was shocked but after I rode on the Mountain Road I was like oh I see..
Gotta remember tho they’re in the south so I’m sure Tennessee doesn’t overall get much snow therefore they probably don’t have a lot of snowplows or the equipment to deal with the snow. So yes does it seem a little silly to us who are accustomed to snow every winter, just like when Texas froze did we laugh at them yes we did but again they aren’t used to it like we are.
I’ve always noticed and respected that neither of you ever talk to your kids in “baby talk”. You’ve built a great foundation and a little speech therapy will go a long way.
Your both children are so happy and super animated. Sometimes one is outgoing animated the other low key but yours are so excitable. Sometimes one is cute to watch.
Thank you for sharing and I am glad you pushed to get Zade check out for speech therapy. I wasn't even talking at 3 and I went to speech therapy and my son who is now 22 went when he was 2 it helped so much. You will see a huge improvement. Be safe in the snow
I don’t recommend buying a Tesla especially if you like road trips (even if it’s only a couple hours drive). They are only good for going to the grocery store and such but they are a fire hazard and they aren’t as safe as people think. If you don’t want a big car then even a mini or countryman is a good idea. They have good engines, good gas mileage, and fits a family of four perfectly. Or a 4 person SUV if you want something bigger
I agree with you. A Tesla is a waste of money, and they are not that safe. I think them buying this car, was more of showing they can afford a Tesla. I wouldn't put my family in this car.
The cold outside will definetly help with keeping your food cold but, we have learned to use coolers too when your fridge is out or to keep from loosing food. We took the plunge after the last hurricane and bought a Yeti cooler.
It's the same here in North Texas when it comes to getting snow which is rare for us. Whenever we get snow sleet and freezing rain, the whole state of Texas shuts down for days and everyone goes stir crazy and cleans out the stores.
My daughter didn’t have speech therapy until 1st grade. She benefited and became an elementary school teacher. Good you pushed for an earlier evaluation.
Yup, it is beautiful..That said shoveling it is another whole world.... New Englander here who has had winters with blizzards dropping feet of snow at a time.
Same here is GA-from that storm-beautiful snow…schools, businesses, everything closed-but people down here really don’t know how to drive in it! 🤪 Beautiful car, beautiful family, have a fun weekend-you are blessed❣️✝️🥰
You can keep up your tree all year long. You can put different colors on the tree. Like for valentine day use red and white. For st patty day use green and white. All the other month use white.
Such a great idea, my mom had me in speech therapy, entire time in elementary school the best thing she could’ve ever done I had a really bad speech problem! All is well now!
Here in Montana I use my front porch all the time as an extra refrigerator. Just have to make sure its animal proof. Also, be aware that your food may freeze outside. Better as a freezer than a refrigerator 👍😊
Tell the kids it’s time to take the Christmas decorations down in their rooms so you can get ready for Valentine’s Day, then decorate for Valentine’s Day 😊❤
Yep, the outside can be your frig for now. 😄Glad you got some snow - kids always love it. I had speech therapy when I was a kid. Nice that you are starting him now. Love your fam.
Omg, your kids are just the sweetest! I enjoy following your family. Good job pushing for the speech. Early intervention is key! I’m a special ed teacher and I love families that jump right in and get their kids help. So many parents are in denial and kids don’t get the help they need early on.
Aww that little bit of snow lol😂. Try living in South Dakota or NY. We are in NY. But hubbys from South Dakota and that’s a true snow storm. But cute storm yall got!
My son had a problem with stuttering and we put him in speech class in school. That was one of the best things we ever did for him. The teacher taught him so much and you wouldn't even know now that he ever had a problem. You will be so glad that you did this for your son. Be careful with the kids playing in the backyard, with no fence around that pool.
I mean this politely, Monsters are Not Healthy for you Evan😊 Happy New Year, Lots of children take a little longer to Pronounce words. Great that you are assisting him. Good Luck God Bless 🙏
I'm so happy for Zade that he'll get speech therapy. My youngest had therapy for 18 months, he really needed it. He was so frustrated when we didn't understand him but there were such long waiting lists..... Now if we look back to videos we ask ourselves how we understood him most of the time?
The salt will be great for your new car. Make sure you detail your car after the snow leaves. You should get a small freezer and put in the garage for emergency.
I used to live in Oak Ridge and stayed in Lake City (pre Rocky Top)a couple of months. I now live in NW Indiana just out of Chicago. We laugh at how ya'll react to a dusting of snow. Schools shut down two weeks ahead if they even think it may snow down there😂 Hope your kids enjoy the snow. You should make snow cream for them. Love all of you!
Has Zade been checked for a tongue tie? My nephew had speech pronunciation issues. He could rattle off plenty of words etc but he struggled so much with pronunciation. He ended up being diagnosed with a tongue tie and it was fixed and his pronunciation of words with some speech therapy helped tremendously.
When I moved to my house Nashville TN my husband and I decided to get a second fridge for multiple reasons. We got ours at Sam’s. You can store cakes, other stuff that doesn’t all fit in your broken fridge.
There are plenty of fruits that can sit on the counter and stay good. You could go to Walmart and buy a 100.00 mini fridge and keep milk, dairy products, lunch meat, mayo, etc... in it. Dig out a camping cooler and fill it with ice. You said you were considering a different care because you are going to grow your family yet you buy a smaller car again..🤔 So next year if you have another kid or two are you trading it in for a bigger car or buying another bigger car to accommodate car seats and strollers?
When my niece was born (14 years ago) I went to visit my sister who lived in Asheville at the time. They got flurries and it barely was even sticking and the schools shut down, stores were closing. My Dad and I were laughing so hard. IHOP was still open though. The nice thing about the cold weather with no fridge. You can put your food in a cooler outside and it will stay good.
Carlyn sweetie get pink lights for V Day. green for st Patrick’s day. Multi for Easter. Girl this grandma has color all year. My Grand babies love it. Hey your pantry looks awesome. ❤
I’m 53 years old and was in Speech class in elementary school. Intonation and pronunciation will be the biggest things for Zade. I was in speech class as a child because both my parents were born and raised in Philadelphia and I was in school in upstate New York. There it wasn’t acceptable for little kids to talk like that. This was also around 1980 so things have changed a little bit.
Happy New Year to your whole family. I can sympathise with you, I have done this 4 times in 20 years to replace a refridgerator, and my current one is already falling apart, the trim around the glass shelf is broken, the 2 drawers are toast, had to throw those out, so I use oblong ziploc containers for storage, they fit where the drawers were, cannot afford a new one, I am a widow on a fixed income, its frustrating, have to deal with what life throws at you.
Just a thought but you really should have some kind of protection around the swimming pool. In the snow, children may not see the edge and might fall in. Please keep them safe! Hugs!👍🙏💜💙💜💙
Zade truly is the sweetest. I’m glad he is getting speech therapy. The younger you get the help the better.
Speech Pathologist here. I specialized in pediatric care for 38 years. Early therapy is definitely the best decision. Great job Parents❤
Agreed!
Agreed!

A small fridge helped us when our fridge broke because of hurricane Helene. It took a couple of months to get a new fridge.
Yall are just the sweetest best parents! You can just see and tell how much love you pour in to your kids! Thank God for mamas and daddy’s like you all. You’re so blessed! God bless y’all always ❤
My son started speech therapy at age 2 1/2. Best decision we made for our son. It’s good to have early intervention.
I can just imagine Zade giving the best speeches and saying the best prayers , when he is older . 💙
He will do so well !!!
I LOVE hearing him talk now too though !!!! Sweet voice !!!! 🥰🥰🥰
Congrats on the car !
Looking forward to seeing the slumber party ! 🤍

They could have started helping him before now by trying to help him form his words. Instead they chose to think it is "cute" and document in for $$$.
Starting speech therapy for him while he's young is the best thing for him! Very nice new family car!

Our Son was the same as Zade , your doing the right thing getting help young
My son now is in the Airforce .😊
You should put an inexpensive refrigerator in your garage as a backup 😊
That’s what I was going to say, getting a nice used one for overflow and stocking up. Then also helps for days like these.😊
Unfortunately, when the power goes out, you have twice as much spoilage. Ugh #ice

Yes I watch two RUclips families what's happening to be two sisters families in the Each had a young child that was having issues with their speech and for both of them they had tongue ties... good point
Yes, it is an easy surgery by a dentist. My youngest had it. Again, being an SLP I knew the necessity so I was able to advocate for him.
You could just get a second small fridge for the garage. It comes in handy for extra food and drinks.
I can't believe the TV is out there
You guys are the sweetest. I hope you all have so much fun playing in the show ❤

Zade has been talking a lot more on the blogs, and we can understand him. Both kids are really sweet
Both of your kids have the cutest voices, they truly do😇😊
Success is the best thing we can do for our kids. Not to get frustrated as he gets older. Im so glad you got an appointment. Great parents. 😊
I have had exact this car for 2years now!!! I LOVEIT!!!! Same color as well. Excellent choice.
No matter how long Zade is in Speech you will never regret it!! Early Intervention for whatever reason is THE BEST DECISION you will ever make for your children!! Way to Advocate & follow through!!!

Love that color blue on the new Tesla!! With the black detail 😮 probably the best looking one I’ve seen yet!! Have fun & be safe!
Helping Z with speech therapy is the sign of great parents. He will benefit now and always. Early therapy is as essential as training wheels on a bike for kids.

I do that 😊 always keep plastic tubs in the garden in December for excess vegetables and drinks.
Great video! Let them keep their trees up. They can decorate for different holidays throughout the year. Or even do seasonal decorations.
😂😂😂 not if it's above 40 degrees
Love how excited you all are for snow.
Oh my goodness Zade is so sweet, we love y’all too. I like the blue . Layla is a great big sister . The Stew crew song awesome.
Zade will do so well with his speech therapy. 🎉 congrats on the new car!
Congrats on the speech therapy for Zade. My grandson started at like 2 years old, & he just turned 3 on Christmas Eve, & his talking is perfect now. Keep us up to date on his progress. Love you guys!

Loving the Tesla the snow looks beautiful ❤❤❤❤
Thanks sm for showing the insta clips here. I have a hard time finding the clips on instagram thanks ❤ love the new Tesla.
I don’t recommend buying a Tesla especially if you like road trips (even if it’s only a couple hours drive). They kill kids. Once it locks up, you can't go back and get the kids out. These are extremely vain people. young and dumb.
The last one caught on fire real assuring.
@@Kohanski5They used to have a Tesla and they’re just replacing it. To say they’re only buying a Tesla to show off is a ridiculous statement!!
@@marylawson4492that person shot himself and purposefully set that car on fire with explosives inside the car. Had nothing to do with the brand.
God bless Stewart family ❤

Here in Huntsville Alabama this snow was pretty but thank God it wasn't ice like last year can't wait for next week's vlog I know my kids enjoyed it
Teslas are just good to look at and have cool features.but it's not a family car in my opinion
Both of my kiddos have done therapy, one for feeding and the other for developmental delays. Whatever is going to help them excel I'm going to do.

Hello Stew Crew, Congratulations on your new Tesla! Layla and Zade are so adorable. Love watching your beautiful family❤️
My son did speech therapy and it was the best thing we did ! He's in highschool now and I really think it helped him with stuff in school to :)
Another SLP here too! Great job, parents advocating for him. Plus, this helps with your local school district to take over once he is three.
Our son only used syllables, couldn't pronounce the consonants 😅
I’m a Canadian, that much snow is a regular Tuesday here 😂 but have fun! It would be fun when it’s not everyday life for over 6 months a year ❤
The salt will be great for your new car. Make sure you detail your car after the snow leaves. You should get a small freezer and put in the garage for emergency.
Layla you are so cute and an amazing singer/dancer. ❤
You guys should put an adjustable awning or pergola over your patio.
You all have such a fun life💖💖💖
I used to live in Oak Ridge and stayed in Lake City (pre Rocky Top)a couple of months. I now live in NW Indiana just out of Chicago. We laugh at how ya'll react to a dusting of snow. Schools shut down two weeks ahead if they even think it may snow down there😂
Hope your kids enjoy the snow. You should make snow cream for them.
Love all of you!
Southern Pennsylvania is the same way. The minute snow is forecasted everyone runs to the stores and they are a mad house.
When you live in WY or CO, snow goes with it.
Happy Saturday Stew Crew
Carlyn sweetie get pink lights for V Day. green for st Patrick’s day. Multi for Easter. Girl this grandma has color all year. My Grand babies love it. Hey your pantry looks awesome. ❤
I’m 53 years old and was in Speech class in elementary school. Intonation and pronunciation will be the biggest things for Zade. I was in speech class as a child because both my parents were born and raised in Philadelphia and I was in school in upstate New York. There it wasn’t acceptable for little kids to talk like that. This was also around 1980 so things have changed a little bit.
We got ice and snow over two days here in Ks. Then we got over 5 inches of snow the other day and it was so beautiful.
Zade is so sweet.
Zade is so adorable.
It's that way with snow here in Oklahoma. People hear a storm, snow, etc., and the stores are crazy.
Always have a small like dorm room size fridge somewhere in the house it helped us big time when our fridge broke
Just a thought but you really should have some kind of protection around the swimming pool. In the snow, children may not see the edge and might fall in. Please keep them safe! Hugs!👍🙏💜💙💜💙
