About Nightwish Arena: I am a true Nightwish fan since 1998 myself, and I'm doing these remastered (mostly Nightwish related) live videos for all you true fans and reaction channels. Best female singer. No offense, because I don’t think she would be out of place next to Rob Halford, King Diamond, Roy Khan, or even Kristoffer Rygg of Ulver (not a tenor but a fine vocalist in lower registers nonetheless).

the added vocals in between the verses and the harmony in the staccato part are FANTASTIC
I'd love if Tarja would do a studio recording of her version of the song. I think I prefer Emppu's opening on the original Nightwish album version of this song, but I prefer the music closing out the song on this version rather than fading out the vocals and music.

Oceanborn is my favorite album (I know that Tarja said that she doesn't like her vocals very much in this album) and this song is one of my favorites, or maybe THE favorite. I know she could not sing this song live at the time and seeying her sing this song live it is like "I can do it, but I don't need you anymore" (for Tuomas or NW in general, anyway...). I am happy for her, happy that she is doing what she likes, with nobody to control her and with a fanbase that supports and love her no matter what. I am proud to be part of that fanbase and I am a winter storm till the end

One of Nightwish's best songs and tailored to fit Tarja's spinto soprano voice, absolutely enthralling, powerful, majestic and unmatchable. The cello makes it even better than the studio version, it is not just Tarja that's amazing here the band makes this sound like it should have always been played by them. Long live the Siren!

I don't miss NW band there at all. IMHO the band does really good job, love the acoustic instruments and Tarja's performance couldn't be better (well that's what I usually think and then sometimes.... she actually improves it).

Yes indeed. I can't think any reason why someone has downvoted this. Tarja is awesome as usual, and the band did great too. Only thing that bothered me personally was, that there is very loud backing track vocals between verses, and it feel so odd, that there is this "lead-like" singing going on while Tarja is dancing.

Couldn't Tarja sing that staccato before?
In all the versions with NW, they cut the song right before the staccato part, she was still too incipient and not agile enough for these acrobatics. She was not able to sing it until this performance. The studio version was achieved thanks to literal insults and tears. This version is miles from the studio one.

@@RudJohns It is well known. Check Once upon a Nightwish, their biography book. She had a very very very hard time recording Stargazers and Passion and the Opera because her vocals were not developed enough by then. She ended up crying from frustration and Tuomas told her you can cry or you can cry and sing. He actually said something worse but it is water under the bridge. If you look into their performances of Passion and the Opera, there's not one version where she sings the full thing. The song was only performed live in its entirety when she went solo.

Remastered?.. the low frequency is too much too loud
Too much? Well, I don't think it's too much or even one bit more than on Tarja's official live DVD's. What kind of setup you have for listening? And if you can provide better quality version (or make better remaster), I would love that. I'm not audio professional or even an advanced amateur. I do this just for fun and love. This original video was so bad, especially high frequencies are totally squashed from too low quality audio compression, that it is impossible to make it sound like best live recordings.
