- On this 4th of July weekend, we're back at Road Atlanta, where the old TA90 V1 laid down a quick 1:35.0. With all the upgrades on the Supra TA90 V2, we were certain that we can match or even beat the standing GTA Street record. The thing is, none of us really realized just how quick the V2 really is...

Was great to meet you and be there to witness your lap! I was in the black VW Golf R. Had some boost issues and blew up my engine mount jumping turn 3 trying to be like you😂 but managed a 1:46.7 as my best. I was about 4 seconds off my PB at RA but am pretty pleased for my first GTA event. One thing for sure it won’t be my last event. Thanks for the videos. Love the channel

The V1 vs V2 difference is awesome. The team has come so far in a few months. I can't wait for Buttonwillow as that track was a real test of traction and precision last year. Big kudos guys😊
Yea, GTA Buttonwillow will be awesome this year. I'm sure Amir's NSX will be even crazier by then, but we'll take the fight to them!

I work in Chicago and when I was on the highway I saw a badàss tricked A90 supra on a trailer. Doing my best to stay between the lines and wipe the drool I was able to read some of the decals on the coolest car I have seen in a while. I had to look it up. This is exactly what I have been looking for!!! Love your car, crew and content. Subscribed immediately!!!!!!!

To be fair... Amir was new to Road Atlanta. The Ridge is insane but Road Atlanta’s high speed nature makes it tough for first timers. To pull off a 1:29.1 on his first weekend is quite something
You should consider running a CO2 sprayer on your intercooler set to boost reference or full throttle switch to keep your IAT's down. Might help get that extra second you're looking for.

Great Videos as usual. Been very interesting to watch your progression in TA over the last couple of years. One constructive criticism as a fan of your channel. If using a Go-pro, try setting the autofocus on the windshield prior to pushing record. This should eliminate some of the track image from getting washed out. Keep up the great work.

Of course you cant know how the car is reacting 100% from video but in my opinion try letting the cars g-force help u in and out of the corners, u get much more traction, like throw the car into the corner and use the momentom to get urself out. Im no expert tho i just love racing all my life

I like how the chill 2nd lap with some push got much faster, but scared the shit out of me with the messy corners, and cutting the grass understeering into the wall. If that's a chill lap, I'm definitely a puss, that's me trying my best LOL

Awesome driving! Had me little concerned there after turn 12 running off the side. I was recording some at the helicopter pad near turn 12 when you did that.
where can i see more content on that nsx you showed at 2:54? A k24 nsx is the absolute dream track car for me.

This weekend will be installing an oil cooler on my ND2 in preparation for a track day at buttonwillow or streets of willow. Still need to decide on which to go for. Do you have a preference for a beginner track day goer?
Buttonwillow is a lot more high speed than Streets, so I would recommend Streets since it’s also more technical

Most of the stereo and speakers are removed, we kept the one in the dash as we needed one to pass legality test!

Why is the battery voltage low when the car is running? Is it not being charged by the alternator when the car is running ?

I see you have the wind buffeting deflectors installed (AMS I’m assuming) did you ever talk about them and show how good they work to hopefully appeal to possible buyers who were turned away from the Supra because of the wind noise?
I think the in car audio while racing shows all you need to know ha. They work, really really well

Side note, touching the kurb in T5 will cost you 2 to 3 tenths per lap.
Which curb at T5? Entry, apex, or exit?
If you look closely at the 2 fastest laps, I actually tried very hard to nip around those entry and apex curbs. Def important to get right
@@JackieDing86 The entry apex, if you miss it, it will keep you from getting sent too far to the right on exit where you end up on that other bit of track they use for the club course.
so when you're on the nankangs you struggle... when you're on the yoko's you win...
