Hi, excellent video. Could i add and program another buttons on the interface in order to offer more function to the users? For example a button that when clicked contains a list of links to other pages
Yes, you are right it's an important topic that needs to be discussed in detail but unfortunately, I am not getting enough time to even reply comments :) Well! I am grateful for your kind word and a great suggestion. Will do it soon.
Apology for a late response. Yes but your personal use only. If you need for an organization or for any commercial use, you need to pay for each guide. I mean back and frontend
First decide do you want to install back & front separately or in one server. Required a heavy server having bigger memory, good harddisk and also required a real IP with some bandwidth dedicated internet. Docker doesn't support production server. The installation process will be the same however frontend installation required ip address and production. I have discuss in front-end installatio video.
This video might help ruclips.net/video/IRB_oE1JU9Q/видео.html you need to change localhost to IP address and true for production server. A new video is also in process.
I am not getting your question 🙂 if you are talking about to visit frontend on web browser then please use your cloud address with port 4000 or for backend default port :8080/server
Backend isn't connected with frontend or solr is not properly configured with backend. Soon I will upload the updated video on DSpace. Please keep watching RAFLIMTS for
Hello,I have a problem which consists of "'/dspace/imports' as defined by the key 'org.dspace.app.batchitemimport.work.dir' in dspace.cfg is not a valid directory"
It seems like DSpace is having trouble with the directory path specified in the configuration file (dspace.cfg). The error message indicates that the directory '/dspace/imports' is not recognized as a valid directory. To address this issue, you'll need to ensure that the directory '/dspace/imports' exists and is accessible by DSpace. You can do this by: 1. Checking the existence of the directory: Verify that the directory '/dspace/imports' actually exists on your system. If it doesn't, you'll need to create it. 2. Verifying permissions: Ensure that the directory has the necessary permissions for DSpace to access it. The user running the DSpace application should have read and write permissions to this directory. 3. Updating the configuration file: Double-check the configuration file (dspace.cfg) to ensure that the path specified for 'org.dspace.app.batchitemimport.work.dir' is correct. If the path is incorrect, update it to reflect the actual path of the '/dspace/imports' directory. Once you've verified the existence, permissions, and correctness of the directory path in the configuration file, restart DSpace to apply the changes. This should resolve the error, and DSpace should be able to recognize the directory as a valid location for imports. If you encounter any further issues, feel free to ask for assistance!
Video in process. There are three methods to install DSpace 7. Docker, install frontend and connect with demo site, install frontend and back end on local machine. Will discuss all
I am regretful that I am still in experimental process but hopeful to complete soon. However, you are in hurry please use DSpace 6. As both back ends are same. Or check official guidelines on DSpace website.
