    Great 'how to' mate, it's given me an idea of how it comes apart for when I change the filter on my 2005 F1 :)

    Hi do you have to bleed the fuel line after everything is back. If so where is that done from?

    • @HOMEHUBBY2
      @HOMEHUBBY2  7 месяцев назад

      No,just start engine,it will run than stop,than start again,will turn over a few times to clear the air than it will run,so no need to bleed

      Thank you for that. I have to replace the fuel hoses that go to the fuel cooler matrix and I've been searching for the answer for 2 weeks.
      And thank you for the videos

    Hello there mate,Brilliant video and so helpful,I have a question if you wouldn't mind? I have the same motor as you're one and i had a noisy pump so here we are,At 4:24 in this how to you take an earth off the fuel filter,When i was stripping my one the earth was already off and I am wondering if this could have been my problem? I have fitted new pump & filter but the new pump is noisier than the old one and im just wondering if it could be because that earth wire isn't on,If i sort the earth lead and place it in the filter housing with a good connection i am hoping this may regulate the pump,Everything is put back properly except that earth lead.Sorry for rambling but i dont want to melt my new pump if the earth is to blame and it is a job i can do,Thanks in advance,Liked and subbed to you.

      I’ve seen on other vids that its common for the earth to fall off with corrosion on the tab,,I’ve heard about certain pumps do run noisy, but I don’t think this earth will make the pump noisy,the earth just protects the housing and fuel system

    Hello Tel 👍, I have a silly problem mate,I recently changed pump and filter but im sure i put filter back in wrong way 😮 Could you please advise that when everything is put back should the fuel filter arrow be facing the engine or the rear of the motor,Apologies for the stupid mistake i need to slow down and pay more attention,Thanks in advance Tel and take care .

      Hi,fuel filter direction is to the rear, the fuel will first flow into the filter and then into the pump,hope this helps 👍

      @@HOMEHUBBY2 Thank you Tel 👍,Ive just changed pump twice this last one yesterday i put a pierburg in at £150 thinking that'll do it but its still really buzzing loud,Thanks to yourself i can now confirm that the filter is in the correct way around (arrow facing rear) so im now thinking whats going on,I have a rough idle but acceleration is brilliant,I did change EGR for the blank but its never even threw a light up on dash and still hasn't,I was thinking about putting EGR back on and try that or could it be the MAP sensor,Im not being fussy Tel but it is quite loud and im now put off going any distance incase the pump stops working ,Like i say accelerate and shes brilliant but when just going along 50-60 mph and she is jerky until you accelerate and nothing wrong until you slow down or stop,She is driveable but for how long Tel? I hope you are enjoying the weather and It was my plan to do the same but,Im not bothered about a bit of noise Tel but this is supposed to be quiet ish being a pierberg and last 2 pumps have done the same,Its as if there is too much power at pump or something,It did prime itself and went quiet then when I started her up buzzing started,Thanks again Tel and i wanted to tow a bit this summer too? All the best Tel and have a great day and weekend 👍.
