Oh! I guess that went through the proofreading! I will check it out and correct it now but yes. Une angine is a throat infection, but "une angine de poitrine" so a chest angina, is an actual angina just like in English :) Thank you for catching that Liam :)
I don't like to memorize French vocabulary, so I look at the etymology. For example, I know that kidney disease is also called renal disease which is la maladie rénale in French which leads to le rein for the kidney.
Hi, why is the definite article used in "Elle a les yeux verts" yet the indefinite article is used in "Elle a de longs bras". It seems here that the placement of the adjective before or after the noun determines whether the indefinite or definite article is used respectively which makes no sense grammatically in any language. Can you explain this. Thanks.
That’s just the way it is. But you can also say “elle a les jambes longues” that’s just a different sentence structure. Just like “elle a de magnifiques yeux verts”
@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane Ah no, I think you answered my last "c'est" vs "il est" question like this as well 😝😭 I'm starting to think French is full of these inexplicable inconsistencies. And this isn't even idiom territory. I understand, also, from reading elsewhere, that despite what should be grammatically correct, "il a les longs bras" is awkward and not used. Can you confirm. Thanks for your help.

@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane thanks for replying again,oh you're too kind and humble , 😭😭😂😀
Hi Dylane! I suppose La hanche is an exception where the "la" does *not* become "l' in front of the silent H? Thx!
That's because Hance starts with a "h aspiré" which acts as a consonant :)
@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane Thx, Dylane. I appreciate it! I'm going to have to go back and review your pronunciation course. :-)
Je te remercie, Dylane

In exercise 8.9, is 'angine' a throat infection in French? because on page 76 it says angina but that's a cardiac problem in English

Do we always have to say the number of fever we or can we just say J'ai de la fièvre.
Yes you can say J'ai de la fièvre :)
Combien de cicatrices avez-vous...j'aimerais bien savoir ? ???
J'ai 3 cicatrices, une au menton, une à la main, une au poignet. Et toi ?
@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane j'en ai une seule au cœur ❤🤣🤣❤😂
Je pensais derrière au lieu des fesses ou du cul. Quoi de plus utilisé dans le discours général?
Le derrière est un synonyme, le cul c'est plus familier ;)
Tu est très très belle femme, mon professuere!!!! 😊
