Engaging Webinar! Great insights on the basics. I have been using Simcenter Testlab to study the modal testing on a gearbox. Honestly the Siemens resources and the manual helped a lot in the learning process. And I happened to stumble upon this seminar after all the hands-on learning. It all makes sense now! Every step is a new learning :)

Would this software be capable of analyzing the modes of a fluid body using wave gauge/pressure sensor data that captures oscillations of the free surface?

Data for the modal analysis does not have to be acceleration as shown in this video. Data can be any type (pressure, velocity, etc), and assuming there is modal behavior captured in the waveforms, the software can be used to analyze it and find the modes.

Hello, can you tell me if I want to have two MIF reference points at the 72min of the video? Do i have to have two acceleration sensors for fixed test in the test? If there is only one acceleration sensor, then there can only be one MIF reference. Is this the understanding? Thank you and look forward to your reply

Two fixed force inputs are needed for two MIF functions. If there is one force reference input, there is only one MIF.
