The out on Tua was the fifth year contract that we did not exercise because our organization is incompetent. There is always a way out and that’s called dumping him like Denver did and look at how successful Denver is even with.
I’ve been one of Tua’s biggest supporters and defenders but I cannot do it anymore. He is a great person and I have no doubt he’s a good father. Unfortunately, this is a business and he’s killing our chances to be successful. At this point, every hit he takes could be his last play in the NFL. We cannot go into a season with this level of uncertainty and expect to be successful. Throw in the fact Grier is a complete moron who is incapable of filling the holes on this roster and you can understand why most fans are in a thermal nuclear meltdown.
I think most of the fanbase feels the same way. Stand Up guy, works hard, dedicated and talented but this can be the norm every year. His body just can’t hold up
Some guys just aren't built for the NFL. He seems mentally and physically fragile. It was his confidence with Flores at the beginning, and now concussions are his bugga boo.
@ - He played at a much heavier weight last year and managed to play in every game. This year he lost at least 15-20 pounds and the concussions/injuries returned. It seems we have a solution to the problem(s) if Tua and his team are willing to listen.
Miami should cut bait with Tua, offer him the second string position and a package to run each game… if he wont take cut him and take the hit while we still got talent on both sides of the ball.
