New coach and some new players, the challenge to get in sync is real. Nothing to panic about. It should be a fun season. They should qualify for the playoffs and maybe make it to the 2nd round but until the Tavares contract clears up and they can address the need for a good centreman and a first line defenseman and confirming quality goal tending. I am looking to next season already.

It comes down to the players .I’m keeping Nylander and Matthews and walking Tavares and Marner to free agency. Flip that money into signing Sam bennet and Travis Konecky. Konecky will replace Marner , bennet will replace Tavares for the second line center. Bennet and Konecky is what the leafs need and what Berube would love . Both gritty, both take accountability.
