Look I just think the Wayan Brothers very cleverly set up that entire movie theatre scene with brenda. It was literally a comedy/tragedy in modern cinema. The fact the person who was meant to stab her got beat to the punch by literally everyone in the theatre while Twelfth Night plays in the background was just too good. And she lays dying at center stage after the audience (in traditional shakespearen theatre fashion) participated. Attention to detail is amazing.
I misremembered that people thought that the death of Jada's character was fake. I assumed the characters in the audience continued cheering. However, in reality, they seem horrified. I know most horror movies start off with a death, but this one was particularly devastating.
I also don’t understand how people find the scene unreal or funny. Major Fans are usually a bit crazy during and after films. Also, the fact she is stabbed so many times and she can’t say a word. That scream before collapsing as everyone stares on is beyond creepy and very realistic. 😩

True if that happened at least where I live they would stop the movie and a manager would come in with a mic and ask the crowd to quiet down. I was once watching conjuring back with it came out in 2013 and a lot of the movie goers were college students right after classes acting all loud and yelling and screaming obscenities and the movie had to be stopped. I think the manager handled it very well. She literally said, “if you have the balls say that to my face and you will be escorted out” after that the movie continued with no issues.
It happened many times tbh, I remeber when IT and even the Joker got released a lot of people were using clown costumes with fake knifes and hummers (and let's not forget the amount of homicides and attacks during that time), and in Scream case the actual "character" of Ghostface uses a knife so a lot of people would cosplay that.
Scary movie cracked me up but the opening of scream 2 honestly freaked me out when I was younger because the fact that she was killed in the middle of a theater in front of everybody but no one noticed what was going on until she was already dead I was like damn even in a crowd full of people you’re still not safe sometimes

Yeah I mean according to some information stab 1 through 3 are almost exactly like Scream 1 through 3 but in stab 4 Sidney threatened to sue if they made it about her again, so instead they made it about Sidney's secret daughter. And Ghostface's grave is struck by lightning and causes him to return from the dead like freaking Jason.and he goes after Sidney's Daughter then in stab 5 ghostface somehow goes back in time to try and erase the blood line of the Prescotts.
