What a cool variety of titles you have here! Love that you found some Trollope that works for you - I am starting Orley Farm this week and am so very excited about it! Now off to rewatch this with my goodreads handy.
@@katehowereads I hope you enjoy Orley Farm! I took it slowly and made a list of characters and their relationships to each other. It’s helpful to have that list! That being said though, there are scenes in that book that are so well written I still feel like I have memories of seeing them in a costume drama.
@@Bookslovejenna Two potters in ancient Syracuse, decide to feed some Athenian prisoners in exchange for them performing Greek plays. The author is Irish/Lebanese and he's written it in an Irish dialect. It wears the information lightly (Ferdia Lennon knows his history and literature) but just unfolds without a didactic author's overview. Given the subjects of slavery, war it isn't a depressing book. The audio book was so good I bought the hardback as well.
Loooooved listening! I put The Ministry of Time on my list. 😮♥️😍

My absolute favourite of the year was 'Glorious Exploits' I loved it. I have 'The Ministry of Time' - haven't read it yet.
@@clarepotter7584 I don’t think I’ve even heard of Glorious Exploits! I’m going to have to look it up.
