Nice pot of chicken, yammy, thanks for the tip 🤩
Auntie-Ellu, a teacher 👩‍🏫🥴 has a money saving tip for You: .. cause I´ve seen you buying potatoes in ready-plastic-bags. The potatoes sold in large containers are cheaper and taste better, but they are not washed. I collect the best ones one by one to a plastic bag (another clean plastic bag covering my hand).
1.KIINTEÄ ("solid") is good potato for boiled or chopping for soups.
2.JAUHOINEN (soft after boiling) suitable for cooked in oven AND mashed potatoes --> ya need less power 💪when crushing them.
    (3. YLEIS- suits for any purposes...⛹‍♂...in cooking I mean)
    😋

It's better not to stir the potatoes too much, or it becomes sticky - as we say it: "liisteri" (wallpaper paste)! 😉😇
(Because potatoes contains a lot of starch.)
    - Just put the cream in with the whole potatoes, then mash them lightly so that the cream is just about absorbed. Then add the salt and stir lightly again, so that the salt gets everywhere. 🙂 - Done ❤
Still: I'm sure that food was delicious! 😋👌

I've used both ways to peel potatoes. When I make Chicken I use garlic, onions, Serrano pepper, sauté in Butter. When golden brown I add the chicken and my various spices, usually some curry and pepper. Mashed potatoes have milk, sour cream, pepper because I am on a low salt diet. Your food looks great.

The next time , he needs to put lime juice to tenderize the chicken, with teems, black pepper, garlic, and tomatoes for texture. Browning the chicken with onions in a little vegetable oil is highly recommended.

if you want smooth massed potato, but some butter in there when you mash them, and one liter of hot milk after mashing them and mix that milk in the mashed potato, this how we do it in Estonia

    • @ellu-7026

Same in Finland, but I use nowadays a whole lotta margarin (cheaper than butter) + suitable amount of any milk.

@@ellu-7026 okay, but gotta use milk to make mashed potato more smooth

You should have added a little chives to your mashed potatoes.
Adds a little colour and flavor.
In the summer you can pick it yourself. Just ask some locals where it grows. (Finnish word: ruohosipuli )
Then put it in the freezer so you have for the winter.
BTW, that chicken looks delicious. 😋

I would argue animal fat is not a problem in any way but to each their own.
Looks like a good meal anyway 😅
If you like garlic, mashed potatoes with butter and garlic is a treat!

I'm running a fever right now too.....man I could go for some tater mash! I generally peel the taters before boiling when making mash, but I use knife and fork when peeling taters AFTER they're done boiling.
