I deeply sympathize and feel sad on behalf of anyone going through this pain and sorrow. It's heartbreaking.
At the same time, I feel that this song is both a sympathetic tribute for those people as well as an indirect message to get out of that destructive behavior. And I do firmly believe that the significant other one has lost would also want you to move on and not live so destructively because of them. Though the fact might come across as callous and cold, at some point there is no excuse left to continue on in such a manner.

My ex girlfriend, who I have a daughter with, left me for another man after being in a toxic relationship with her for a year. She was cheating on me, I went through her phone, found out, and left. It’s been about 1 and a half month since I left her and this song perfectly describes how I’m feeling right now. I just left a cheap motel where I hooked up with some random girl for mindless sex, and after the post-nut clarity hit I felt disgusted with myself. And all I could think of is what would my daughter think of me if she saw what I’m doing. I hate myself, I’ve wanted to kill myself. I mostly am just having a hard time getting over her. And have all these bad habits of smoking weed and drinking all the time to numb myself. “I make it fast and greasy, im numb I’m way too easy” those lyrics have never felt more relevant in my life than they do now.
