I felt this needed to be done. It was a nice break from all the crap going on with school and other obligations. I really enjoyed doing this one. Too bad my mastering and mixing is an utter joke.
my original song:

There's a character limit, so I'll try to keep this short:
When I first heard this song, I imagined an epic battle involving Celestia.
I then decided that it should be drawn. But one drawing could never capture the feeling of this song and the battle in my head. The I decided to do a comic. I started writing the dialog that leads to the battle. Then I thought that I need to know what led to the situation. Now, I'm in the middle of writing a +50 000 word fanfic. All because of this awesome song.
I wonder if Makkon plans to become a professional musician. I think he could do it.
Biglulu Anderson oh absolutely. He and Thomas Bergessen(did I spell that right? Sorry Thomas, sir). I bet they could make something EPIC!!! Oh, and let's not forget Peter Crowley! They could--oh I can't go on; my brain will explode! Like or comment if you agree pls 😊
This song made me cry because this music was so beautiful 😢
This is my favorite battle theme of all time. It sits right with the Halo battle theme.
"Fellow colts! Three weeks from now, I will be harvesting my crops. Imagine where you will be, and it will be so! Hold the line! Stay with me! If you find yourself alone, riding in the green fields with Her sun on your face, do not be troubled! For you are in Elysium, and you're already dead!
"EQUESTRIA VICTOR!"
I just found your channel and have been bingeing your entire musical career. This may be my favorite of them all
Dear Makkon, you are an amazing composer! Thank you for treating our ears with such delicate treats!
Not much more to say than by the time :30 seconds rolled around, the song was favorited and I sat back in my chair and just ABSORBED this beautiful sound, casting such a beautiful spell over me.
This is definitely going right after "Impressions of Celestial Origins" in my playlist of the best brony songs ever. This is amazing. I've run out of adjectives to use...
batterysurf @Falco SkyKnIght While you're waiting, here's 51 seconds of story:
[0:01] I crouch low on a rickety tin rooftop. Several operators converge on my position. The air quakes with the unmistakable thump of an Ogre's march. I have no ammo left. I am the sole survivor of Zebra Company. There's only one way I'm making it out of this alive. I send the request, and Command calmly dictates my saving grace:
[0:16] "Stand by for Titanfall."
[0:18] The Spectres enter the building first. They always do. In twenty seconds they'll have a bead on me. In twenty-one seconds I'll be dead. Like a parched child longing for the rain, I gaze impatiently at the skies above.
[0:30] Steel feet ascend wooden stairs at my flank.
A twinkle.
[0:32] Servos whine as sensors digitize their surroundings, utterly indifferent to the blood they're about to spill.
A glimmer.
[0:34] The chromium bloodhounds round the corner. I leap from the roof. Still gazing skyward as I fall.
A flash.
[0:36] One-point-five tonnes of ceramic armature slam into the ground. The screaming blast of explosive retrojets are music to my ears. The Dome Shield deploys as the Stryder unfolds and stands at attention. Through a hail of panicked gunfire, I hit the ground running and sprint to my fallen angel.
[0:43] The Titan opens and lifts me into its motherly embrace. As the cockpit seals, a seamless panorama of the outside danger surrounds me. Motor controls jolt online, I bring our cannon to bear, and at last my iron saviour and I are one.
[0:50] The Dome Shield falls. Let's rock.

MChurvis continue plz
Plz continue (yes I'm back)
@@fc_gaming3196 me too
@@LupinNemesis and I'm back again!
Hell damn man. You've probably moved on to bigger and better stuff but you have a real talent here. I'm sad to see there aren't super recent stuff, but I know these are super hard to make. Shit bruh. Good luck where you are, Lucasfilm or wherever you are at now. No doubt doing some really cool stuff!
It's been almost a year since I got sucked into this pony thing, and sometimes I start to feel burned out and about to move on. Then I hear something like this and am reminded why I love this whole phenomenon!
OK there's really good music, and there's music that goes beyond and touches you on an emotional level...DAMN YOU FOR MAKING ME FEEL FEELINGS!!!
@ChromaMonster The really nice staccato strings that you're hearing throughout the song are LA scoring strings, I'm actually using it's auto arranger. I set up a 1/8th triplets pattern with my own accents and letting it do most of the work. It's only during the big hits that Symphobia was really used. TBH, for something like this, you really need both.
there isn't a word for this level of music, it's above epic, above all description
This makes me want halo 4 even more. This is fantastic really embodies feeling that I simply can't describe in 100 words or less
Knowing how much I listen to this, I’m leaving a comment so I can reply each time I wish I could add another thumbs up.
Please... whatever you do.... DO NOT STOP MAKING THIS INCREDIBLE MUSIC!!!
This is amazing. No other words can describe it. Just amazing beyond belief.
This is beyond Two Steps From Hell standard.. seriously THIS is GODLY! Kudos Makkon!
@TheSchemer7 Dude... that brought a few tears to my eyes- that, in conjunction with the awesomeness playing at the moment.
You already got me makkon, I'll check out anything you do, even if it has absolutely nothing to do with ponies.
This is pretty badass.
Lo and behold! For man hath asked, and man hath received. The great Makkon, lord of the orchestral remix, hath bequeathed upon us a holy gift.
Blessed are the Subscribers, who will be first to know of Makkon's blessings.
Blessed are the Commenters, who will spread the word of Makkon.
Blessed are the Favoriters, who will listen to Makkon's glory on their home page.
Faust bless you, Makkon!
I did as much searching around as I could to find a decent battle theme for Celestia, as I control her on an Equestrian Civil War Role Play site based on the SEvNLR conflict. I've searched through Audiomachine and Two Steps From Hell. I've flitted through battle themes for bosses from countless games. And this... This, my friend, is the only song that feels... correct. This is an amazing piece.
Makkon releases new song on my fic holiday? Best day ever, I'm glad I don't have any Allegrezza to write tonight. :D
Parts of this remind me a lot of the Halo score. I love this song. You, sir, have a gift.
I always thought the original Celestial Origins was missing something. Like those orchestral hits were building up for something epic that never came. This more than makes up for it though :)
You're my new favourite brony musician!
I absolutely loved the Impressions of Celestia Origins piece and this takes the song a step up with epic. I would love to see (hear) more tracks like this.
I am a sucker for epic music :P
I still remember about your great sounds!
The song fills me with such longing and yearning. One day I might return and ask you for more, dearest.
God damn this sounds like something straight out of a movie. Fantastic work.
Epic song. I heard this the other day on Celestia radio. Great piece indeed.
that´s not only musik this is a peace of art
PS. I shivered the whole time because this is sooooo epic
This song is EPIC! I have it in a playlist alongside Heart of Courage and Requiem for a Dream, that's how unbelievably awesome it is!
Oh hey you finished it! Nice work on this man! Your amazing and expert use of LASS makes me jealous.
Sir, your music is rapidly approaching the quality of audiomachine and two steps from hell. I'm at 1:40 and this is already on my ipod.
This is not just epic, this is BEYOND epic.
I listened to this all freakin day... And I can't stop.
HELP ME!
You are destined for fantastic things, Makkon.
Listened to this while doing homework.
Now it feels like divisions are vital for Equestria and the world.
This is so heroic. Definitely a song for the Princess of Equestria!
That's interesting. My dad's telling me almost the exact same thing. I keep saying I love art-and that music is growing dull on me. But he keeps telling me to carry on, and not stop, and that it would be a source of regret someday. I've been playing piano for probably about 10 years-since I was 5. I guess it might be interesting to get into digital music, and my parents are always willing to "cultivate my interests."
The original Celestia Origins remix is one of my favorite songs ever (and therefore I prefer it), but this one is REALLY good too. Downloading right now! ^_^
Within four seconds of this starting, I'd audibly said "ooooh" and I shivered.
DOWN. LOAD. ED.
What....how do I even....there...this is.....I can't......it's so.....this....THIS....it's, so, beautiful /cry. Seriously, though, this is amazing. I have to go find some battle soundtrack to add this to.
Yes! Its good to listen to new music from you. Epic music. Great work. Sounds amazing.
@makkon06 You are seriously one freakin talented piece of awesome sauce!! LOVE IT!!
This is the most epic thing in the history of the universe.
I have this as my wake up alarm everyday, start the day epic battle and adventure music :D
Well, this was good enough for EqD, so I salute you fine gentlecolt.
Oh hey you finished it! Nice work on this man!
This music makes me want to go on some epic life changing journey across the land.
Back at last! How I missed you, you sweet sweet music you.
The images this music bring to my mind (though not pony related) are so specific, vivid and sharp that I'd hire you in a heart beat to score a movie. Your rich use of instruments for the orchestral feel and not just a single keyboard makes you one of my two favorite pony composers. Keep up the incredible work.
I like to play this song when i'm driving and well lets just say it makes every drive i go on epic.
@TheSchemer7 Walls of text.
Haven't made one of those since a horribly extensive splicing of Old Spice and arrows that pierce to the popliteal.
At any rate, to comment about the music: Well done. Maybe it's because the clock says 2:33AM and I just blew a few good hours in game, but it reminds me of Skyrim crossed with a movie trailer.
My reaction:
"makkon06 just uploaded a video" OK, I can handle this, just don't get overexcited.
*reads the title* Oh,I never stood a chance...
That was followed by disturbingly unmanly fan-squeaks and jumping into the air until I bumped my head.
I confound makkon06 for making me lose my cool.
"Well one thing that can said is that the princess old palace is inside of the Everfree Forest, as such at one point ponies must have lived there. So the real question is what happened to caused the forest to be so dangerous, when did it happen? My thoughts is it was when Celestia and Nightmare Moon fought that the forest changed. The darkness given off by the fallen princess twisted and altered the Everfree Forest, created monsters."
--Mythos Gray, Entertainer (Storyteller, Scholar, Musician)
Damn, may Celestia be praised for this wondrous bounty o plenty of excellent music, HAIL TO THEE!
@DiehardMechWarrior
"Ponies have debated whether or not the Everfree Forest is indeed haunted. Some say that it's just an anomaly, a 'glitch' in the system. Other say that something sinister lurks in it's heart...
"As for what I believe, well, I'd rather not get into that..."
--High Brow, Canterlot scholar.
I've been listening to this on loop for the last three hours. Well done.
Where did this grand alicorn come from? What secrets does this old pony hide? How is it that she is still so young looking after all these years? What battles has she fought along the years? - Just feels like some of the questions this song is asking...
And it is epic work. Really, this is one of the best brony-masterpieces ever heard. /)
You, Makkon, are amazing.
Makkon goes with everything.
Impressive work Makkon. All I have to say is, I am at a loss for words. Keep up the good work! On a side note, this song just brought back about ten of the better parts of my early and latter childhood in a huge collaboration. Avatar, Balto, Brother Bear, Spirit, the Lion King, the Last Airbender, and of course, FiM. I needed that. Thank you.
Awesome. Epic.
Worthy of a goddess.
And I liked this one more than the original, but both are very good.
@imicusdown While ponies have been a big chunk of my inspiration, I completely agree with you. Myself and a number of other musicians in the community are branching out more in a professional and marketable direction.
Mmmm this sounds so nice. Really got to look in to getting all of the fine software like you have.
@TheMegaOne1000 its even better when you Listen to this while reading the Fic "Ponies make War" it REALLY Makes the Battle Scenes POP!
Quite a hair raising build up, very well done on this. I think they call this a good frission song.
Keepin' it sexy, as always. Awesome job, brotha!
The picture reminds from the emblem of the door from Moria from Lord of the Rings (a little bit).
Take a great part from one of your awesome songs, and make it about 20% cooler. You sir, are amazing.
This is awesome Makkon !!
I thought "Impressions of Celestia Origins" was as epic as pony-inspired music could be, but then I took a battle theme remastering to the knee.
You've done it again Makkon. Absolutely amazing piece. I fiddled around with various headphones till I got the best sound - I knew your track would be good and I had to do it justice. Also... I didn't realize that I could eat my entire lunch in 3:52. Listening to this music must subconsciously forced myself to eat at breakneck speed to match the epic.
If I ever, EVER get my book published and then made into a movie, I am making sure you are hired for the soundtrack. All of your music is spine-tingling and brilliant!
Best battle heme I've ever heard!
Your music inspires me. That is all.
"Battle mix" and Makkon in the same video? Mother of god..
@imicusdown I'd love that! I'm anticipating a bandcamp album release in the near future, I'll post a video and bulletin about it when it's up. Thank you so much!
Absolutely epic. Love your music too much :D
Absolutely wonderful!
As always your work is amazing =)
This is awesome! Amazing work.
I love you, Makkon.
Bravo, Makkon, bravissimo! You took what was already one of my all-time favorite songs from the Bronydom and dialed it up to eleven! My hat, if I had one, would be off to you.
In all seriousness, though, I love what you've done with the piece. The way you've altered the rhythm now makes it reminiscent of movies like Pirates of the Caribbean or Lord of the Rings.
I'll admit it, I'm a sucker for pieces in 6/8 time.
This is plain awesome.
Not even MW3 had this epic music... where were you when infinity ward was looking for composers?
HANS ZIMMER AIN'T GOT SH*T ON THIS!
To be honest, yes, this is really good music, but guys like Hans Zimmer and John Williams are professionals and have done it for years, not discounting how amazing this is, just pointing out a fact
Allison Carlberg I agree
WAAAAAIIIITTTT your in School or you at leat were when you made this masterpiece?
Damnit now I feel useless. But then how can I feel that way if I listen to music as epic as this :)
P.S.--In my enthusiasm I neglected to say, explicitly, that I think this is marvellous stuff and I enjoy it immensly. Thank you!
@MrBackyardEngineer I created the music in Cubase and Kontakt, featuring LA Scoring Strings
It reminds me of Game of Thrones a bit. Not the main theme intro song. One of the background stuff. Awesome anyway! Love it!
:O
well when ru comming back
Wow, this is absolutely amazing, everyday, amazing music is being pumped out by the brony community, but yours shines above a lot of them. It really does sound something that would play while you're playing Skyrim. Just all hats off to you
Dude, holy shit! This song belongs in the Tyrek vs twilight battle, or a skyrim dragon fight. Either way, great work! Super impressed!
Connor MacKie Tay! An mlp fan! (finally!)
Funnily enough, I used this song as the dragon battle music lol
It's...BEAUTIFUL....
Beautiful. Outstanding. Magnificent. Gorgeous. Soul-enriching. Thanks for the video. Thumbs up and faved!
This is so epic! I cant get over how great the music of this fandom sounds, I really hope you get to do something big with your music one day. On a side note, how come I cant edit anything about the mp3 tags in iTunes? I cant even add album art
Great stuff as always Makkon06!!! I always love hearing your stuff...makes me wish I could make music like you do
sounds great!
