You crushed the family car in our house, circa 1981...I remember trips to the ice cream shop in summer, sticking my hands out the open sunroof, listening to ABBA on the cassette deck, I was 9. Ours was even silver. Bonus fact: the 1981 Datsun 810 Maxima was the first talking car in the USA, if you left the lights on, a Japanese lady said "Please turn off the lights"
I'm surprised that rust-bucket truck held together long enough to get to the crusher. Note: small engines in some lawnmowers are valuable once rebuilt. I pulled a B&S 42a707 out of a Sears mower ... spent $80 in parts to get it running again, and sold the engine for $325.
Been ages since I heard or seen Datsun.. My neighbor had one for a long time, it was his vehicle of choice.. he loved it.. then he started to lose his mind to dementia and his kids sold it.. but that didn't stop the old fart.. he kept driving himself to his old property to mow the lawn then come over to my aunts house and ask for water.
Understanable. These cars never stopped, and were much better than comparable USA made cars....Which were, compared to Japanese cars and European cars just apile of junk.

Our family car was the Stallion garden tractor.

Aaa the 80’s!
Probably came out of the same paint line.
Yeah, I noticed that the Chevy pickup and the Blazer had the same color pattern.
Man, that S10 sure was crunchy...
Watching these videos of all the time capsules and wondering why as rusty as they are WHY would anyone not have crushed these years ago?
Because years ago, the yard was filled in 40's and 50's cars and trucks, and people were picking parts off the later models.
Internal parts ...
All that and a riding lawn tractor to boot! (Eerie that the S-10 Tahoe and the S-10 Blazer had almost the exact same two-tone finish...)
His & Hers Chevy's perhaps?
@@DarrenMartin-x9v 😆
@@DarrenMartin-x9v ones for ta-hoe, ones for the blazer :)
I see we still have the same subpar operator….😂
Noooo! Not the Stallion!

The first vehicle, like most Chevrolets, go up in value after the crusher.

Damn those 4WD mud flaps are probably worth something…
Period correct accessories.
Thanks for another awesome video less talk more crushing 😎😎😎😎
S10 probably had perfect interior
Wisconsin plates. Wow, those cars rust worse than here in Pennsylvania
That Datsun looks similar to the Toyota Cressida
That would make sense. Came out around the same time
Love those two-part trucks! Poor Datsun Kingcab, but it was past due for a crushin'.
Yeah, both halves. 😜
Great video!! Keep them coming
Where'd this stuff come from? The bottom of the Great Salt Lake!?
Great Video @

That's a heavy load
If there’s any one good thing about living here in California, it’s that our cars don’t crumble to heaps of iron oxide.
Camera keeps dropping loader guy is like he's afraid sad and you leave rebuildables on the cars losing money still
Woot woot
Holy cats, super rot chevy
Why don’t you take the license plates off?
guess a frame off resto. is out of the question, ay?
No frame left 😅
