Every time you say brain fog my brain replaces the word fog with another word that is still appropriate but not something to say on the tube. I was cheering you on because new skills are difficult to learn. You made amazing yarn.

Yay! You did it! It does take a bit of practice to know how to hold your hands and make the fibre glide onto the yarn. I use my Jumbo flyer and slow the wheel down. Set your tension so the the hand holding the yarn is basically guiding instead of gripping, then use the thumb and second finger of the same hand to draft onto the yarn. I made a couple of skeins of spiraled yarn using a core. So much fun and you really don't need a lot of fiber to make it.

Hi Sadie, I did my first core spin the other day. When I watched Tamsin she peddled the wheel anti clockwise then you get the fibre going over the top. I think its slightly easier? I made a big lumpy bumpy yarn which I then weaved into a scarf. You did great, it looks gorgeous. xx Ps Same here in regards to the menopause and not liking to take medication 💜

Hi Sadie, I hope you're OK xx ❣️❣️❣️❣️
I love your Corespun Handspun Yarn it looks amazing, beautiful and so squishy.
You should have watched the one Kim did during the TDF it was Spun with added Sequins it was a yellow and white one.
If you're going to weave with Art/ Novelty Yarns you don't even need to wash them apparently you steam set them or just weave without doing anything.
These are all hints and tips I've picked up.🌟🌟🌟🎉🎉
I did do a Thread Ply after you did it and actually loved the way it turned out.
Now need to try this out.
If Sadie can do it, then so can I.
Thanks for sharing this video podcast and your expertise and for the inspiration you give us. 🌟☀️
I made a Scrap Fibre Batt yesterday after watching you make your Art Batt, wasn't sure how I was going to spin it. Now I know exactly how I'm going to spin it up. Thankyou so much for the inspiration. 🎉🎉🌟🌟
I went through the menopause early too. I didn't take medication because of everything else I have. But there are other alternatives that your Doc can do.
One big tip though, if you need help then ask for it.
Email me if you want or text, I'm always glad to help as you know.
    Hope you've had a Wonderful Weekend ☀️🌞🌞

@@SacredSoulArt Hi Sacredsoul, I'm glad that I answered your question about washing Art Yarns.
I watched a ton of Drop Spindle videos when I furst started Spinning as that was whst i was learning on.
The ines that helped me the most was from Ashley Martineau.
She mainly spins on Spinolution Wheels as she's a dealer for them,.
Also UrbanGypZ doesn't wash or steam hers either.
Tamsin on BFfiberarts Steams all her Art Yarns.
Glad that I've been able to help.

    • @sadiesspincraft6319

I was thinking of doing that and what would you suggest for the best type of yarn to ply it with to get a spiral yarn so I know it needs to be finer than the core spun or can I spin a single and use that. And can you actually see the colour of the yarn/single used. Xx

    • @bffiberarts
      @bffiberarts Год назад

@sadiesspincraft6319 you'll be able to see what you ply with peeking through. Use one of your own singles for fun but the fiber the better. Then it'll nestle into the fiber wrapped over the core and make it poofier.

Hiya Sadie, just wondering did you learn to spin just off utube like I'm doing ?
I ordered some mo-hair last week to have a go at core spinning but I think I may wait a little while to try as I need to get better with my twist
know how you feel about the brain fog, and it's very frustrating when you filppin children think it's very funny to take the mick cause mum can't find her words, little buggers
not that their little anymore, 16 going on 30 and 22 at home and 27 making his own way now
I have fibromyalgia and I think I'm at the beginning of the menopause, periods stopped about 2 years ago and about 9 months ago the hot flash's started
it's bloody awful just getting those without the phantom period pains
How on earth do you deal with it all without taking something as in medication from Dr's or over the counter stuff, do you use herbal or something ?
you obviously don't have to answer but are you in the north west like myself, just asking cause of your back yard and the backs of the other houses, even the background noise really remind me of my nan's old house when she was alive

    • @sadiesspincraft6319
      @sadiesspincraft6319  Год назад

Yes, I did learn just from youtube, but it felt like I had done it before many moons ago well before I was born a bit like a past life .
The menopause part I'm the type of person that if it doesn't cause me pain, then I'm fine, I can cope the only things I take meds for are my back as I have 16 rods and 32 screws in my spine due to a scoliosis spinal correction, which I wish I had never had done. Pain 10x worse than before.
Yes, I'm in the pendle Lancashire area originally north Yorkshire, hence why my accent is everywhere, lol xxx
