man..the memories packed in this mix! takes me back to the years between 5th-8th grade (95-98) ...Space Jam, Penny, Shaq, Grant Hill, Jason Kidd, Jordan, Pippen, Ricky Williams, Luc Longley (lol), Steve Kerr, John Stockton, Gheorge Muresan cologne, Shawn Kemp had his own shoes, McDonald's was amazing, Sprite, Surge, Nintendo 64..geez..those were the days.
Nearly 15 years on this upload, man has time flown, Even RUclips has changed a ton since, I vividly remember back in 09 when i rediscovered jock jams, my old self could have never known what my current self would be like.
I haven't heard this in about 18 years since I was a kid. I just found a CD my mom made me that had this song and luckily had a label with the name. Such a great mix.
Genius. But you must have confetti or something blow the lid off the coffin at the end. Big finish. You could do neat pyro but only if you wanted to be cremated ;)
My cousin owned a DJ business that I worked for, and I brokered a deal with the principal of my jr high school when I was in 8th grade. The DJ they had was super boring. We played better music, and had a sweet light show setup too. So I got to DJ my school’s dances while I was a student there. Every time I hear this song, it always reminds me of that, because this song was huge at that time, and played it at every dance we did around town. This, Crossroads, Mo Money Mo Problems, Breathe by Prodigy, End of the Road by Boyz II Men, California Love, that one song by Matchbox 20 that everyone liked, Stomp by Kirk Franklin…. Always started off with this Jock Jams song, then Enter Sandman, to get the crowd pumped. Good times…
Jordan sinking inside the paint, Jeter jump throw, Sammy Sosa bunny hop, McGwire dragging his bat up the first baseline, Reggie agonizing The Knicks and Spike Lee, Elway raising the Vince Lombardi trophy, all those images come to my mind when listening to this song.
We own a small All-Star cheer gym and will be performing a 1/2 time show Sunday 2/10/19 for the Harlem Globetrotters. And yup. This is the mix we are using.. Old school is the best
@AspieWytch Jock Jams makes everything awesomer. That's a word now, thanks to JJ. In a decade that was more down to earth than the 80s, it's comforting to know that Jock Jams went out of its way to be so over the top that I laugh like a moron listening to it even now.
Everyday after school, I would go to my grandparent's room just to turn the radio on to the station that would play this song. Brings back awesome memories dancing to this. :D
OMG?!?!?!?!?! I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS FOR LIKE 2 YEARS AHHH!!!! MY 5TH GRADE TEACHER PLAYED THIS AND EVER SINCE I'VE BEEN ON THE LOOK-OUT FOR THIS :))
Can someone please tell which jock jams volume this song is on. I have volume 1 and volume 4. I thought it was on 4 but it’s not and I NEED THIS MIX! Lol
@TheChitown263 This song is my ALL TIME favorite to spin while Dj'ing at partys, there has never been a time this hasnt work to get people really going, although i play it after the partys get booming .. Its considered the best mashup mix of all time , I read that somewhere online !
That sound that starts at 0:24 in the background, what song is that part of? I seem to remember it. Or maybe I'm just remembering this mix. Regardless, this makes me feel young again!
I don't think anyone understands how integral this song was to my childhood
lief iek I do.
Oh I do...
90's kids do.
I only wish I could download it to my Apple music! I performed a lip sync to this song in middle school. Such a dork

JOCK JAMZ FOR DAYS
This was dance music in the '90's lol. A bunch of hits mashed together over one beat.
@bunnsofsteel because it was on one of the Jock Jams cds. Volume 1, I think.
That sound that starts at 0:24 in the background, what song is that part of? I seem to remember it. Or maybe I'm just remembering this mix. Regardless, this makes me feel young again!
