I agree with you about Gen Z focusing on skin (good for them!). I also think they're more into perfume and scent. Look at how the launch of new perfumes has picked up! Plus the scents are becoming more...abstract? We may see layering becoming a big trend. I think it's all about making it individual. Case in point: even Fenty is coming out with pH adjusting formulas (that we all know are far from being 'individual'). The same with eyeshadow. It's not about customizability, but individualization. That's different. Curious about what brands will come up with. Marlena Stell to the rescue! That said - I've been eyeing the Rick and Morty as well as the Culture 2 palettes. All the shiny objects! At the end of the day, they scratch the same itch. Super helpful video, thanks! ❤
Honestly, I'm kind of loving the mismatched inner corner shades. It's giving lemon-lime. 💛💚💛 I'm so excited to start depotting some of my palettes so I can create the colour stories I want & use them more often! I have really gotten back into eyeshadow again - yesterday was the first time since Halloween that I actually picked up a blending brush & wasn't just slapping on a setting powder all over the eye & calling it a day. I'm so excited about my collection again!
You did such an amazing job ‘duping the vibes’! I’m more of a basic makeup user, so I only have a few very basic palettes. I am soooo intrigued by Clionah, I would love to get a couple just to have them as statement pieces. But I just have no idea which to choose, because I don’t quite understand them. Could you recommend a kind of tame mother of pearl shade with not too much glitter?
Shine by SD has a video on what indie single shadows she'd recommend for beginners. I've been tempted to buy Chandelier myself because she said it's her most used shade
I duped the palette with my other Natasha palettes and a few other things. I was quite happy with the looks I got and they pretty much matched what I was seeing on her Instagram looks. Plus it made me use what I already had.
I love this look! It's super cute !! The Yucca palette has been calling my name because I LOVE the murky grungy story. Weirdly enough, the look you ended up with is really similar to the look I always end up doing with the Oden's Eye Sea Talk palette :') made me wanna pull that back out. I really appreciate this take on new make up too.
Thank you!! I will say, for me, the gold palette still holds my preference for this kinda color story from ND but the brighter take in Yucca is a lot of fun.
To me it seems like you were successful in duping it. I did the same thing and while I couldn't match it shade for shade or formula for formula exactly, it was close enough for me to not purchase the Yucca palette. The color story is one I'm attracted to and I had plenty enough shadows in the green color family to skip buying it.
👀 im here from the declutter vid... For now.. This was great. I was a little stunned by that silvery shade from the greeb brown palette! How beautiful! 🕺✨
I have a photoshop file with ALL my shades from palettes and singles. It’s arranged in rough rainbow wheel order so I can see that I have the whole rainbow, and I saw that I was missing pink and ended up buying the ND love palette to actually fill gaps. I don’t use a lot of the bold pinks but the pastel pink and the purples are frequently used! It also showed me that some colours are missing because I don’t gravitate to them, so while I don’t own warm browns, I don’t need to buy them because I know they look orange on me
I dig your new filming set up! Also really enjoyed that chill techno you played during the overhead footage. Seems like you duped out Yucca pretty darn well. There haven't been any eyeshadow palettes coming around lately in which I've had interest - EXCEPT for Yucca. I have four Athr palettes kicking around, a few ND Minis, and a couple other random ones, but for the most part I've been using my RdF and Phytosurgence single pots (when I even feel like dabbling in eyeshadow these days). Due to my general apathy regarding complex eye makeup right now, I feel like any money I'd spend on a nice palette would be a waste. Of course, I always like watching you and Kackie going full art supply mode on your faces.
I have an app that has pictures of all of my makeup (otherwise I forget ie. out of sight, out of mind). The app helps me compare and organize my thoughts before buying something new, as well as track dates of purchase.
I loved this, as I have been resisting purchasing this palette. I love these colors, but I haven't tried to dupe the palette yet. I typically do that when I am thinking of purchasing, but I haven't had the opportunity to do this yet. ❤
I bought my first colorful eyeshadow palette last year and ended up only using it a handful of times. I’ve decided to just stick to having one colorful palette for now
I'm a gen z technically and I have always been all for eyeshadow it's the largest part of my collection lol, I mean sure I don't wear foundation (but that's more because of a skin condition than not wanting to)
I love makeup and will enjoy watching makeup content about almost anything, but I was never interested enough in eyeshadow palettes to purchase them. If I had a budget to spend,it usually went towards some base product. Lately that has changed for me though

Really resisting asking what the lethal shade was, but I loved this video so much!!

I'm not sure I can because I have all of the glittery ones from Clionadh lol, but I'm sure that someone else that watches my content can!

If anything, I'd say the palette you put together has greater depth that the Yucca does, although that neon green is particularly gorgeous.

I was hoping you would layer the Lethal green on the inner corner because I think it would’ve looked even closer!

Hi friend! What app do you use?
@@aorogers hi Ashley! I use peeknest. There are probably better ones out there but it’s what I started with so I’m sticking with it 🙈
@@megl2562thanks for the info Meg! I definitely need to look into this. I do have a spreadsheet but I think there’s probably an easier way

Your base makeup looks amazing in this video!
Thank you!!
I bought my first colorful eyeshadow palette last year and ended up only using it a handful of times. I’ve decided to just stick to having one colorful palette for now
The yucca palettes looks like a desaturated version of the ace beaute tropical vibes palette which I already own. Which actually appeals to me
Revisiting this palette and I’m surprised how different the shades are even when I thought they would be similar.
I felt the same way! I was like these seem close but then I swatched and they weren’t really lol
I'm a gen z technically and I have always been all for eyeshadow it's the largest part of my collection lol, I mean sure I don't wear foundation (but that's more because of a skin condition than not wanting to)
"What we are not gonna do is get smart with me in the comments" lol HMT you are so funny 😂❤
😂😂😂
This was fun! You did a good job with the dupe.
Mannn, I should wash my brushes today...At least it is hot af and they'll dry quickly in the sun.
Do it while you have the nerve!

I just have to say - the look on your face in the thumbnail says: "Yes.. yes I did" waste your money on it 😂😂 ... so did I though 🤡
