52 year Heels fan. I’ve lived through decades of bad and mediocre football. We’ve been promised a lot and it never materializes. I have had to finally admit that UNC doesn’t care about winning. We’ve had amazing talent and good coaches at times. Dick Crum was a good coach, so was Mack the first time around. Butch Davis got everyone fired up and the. The idiots in charge fired him. My personal belief is that the administration is to blame, as well as the AD. This goes way beyond losing a football game. Look at the State game last year. Totally unprepared, just like yesterday. This is institutional and chronic.
You just laid it out perfectly there man! The news about the administration getting in the way is starting to come out even more and I believe a lot is about to come to a head!
I say Mack finishes the year and new coach comes in. He’s ready to retire at this point. Recruits will start flipping soon. Awful display for recruits at game for football and basketball.
@@HeelBrothers good point….but no big time recruits will come to UNC if no big name. We also have to worry about keeping those we currently have verbally committing. They may start reviewing other options already because of the environment.
I’ve been a Heels fan my whole life (48 years)…I have never, and I mean EVERRRRR seen a pile of 💩like I did at Kenan Stadium yesterday. THAT DOES NOT HAPPEN. Mack should have stepped down. I don’t care what kind of speech he gave. I mean, I don’t see how it gets worse after yesterday. If I’m the AD, I can assure you I would have questions.
I was there for this beating and it was humiliating..even worse were the JMU taunts! They owned us and let us know. Why cant UNC football live up to the talent?.8-9wins ok? Ask Coach Davis if he's ok with playing the NIT every year?...UNACCEPTABLE...you're right, the response is key to the future of this program , whether Mack remains or not
I am really concerned at this point that the ACC play is going to be mountain of a challenge unless problems can be fixed on both sides of the ball? Thanks for all you do witn your post and comments!
Thank you for the comments and interaction! Offensively I felt pretty good outside of the WR’s not getting separation at times and oline play. Defensively, they need to get back to what we saw the first 3 weeks

@@HeelBrothers wouldn’t shock me if they hire a coach in waiting to help with recruiting. They will go for a big name.
I just wonder if going for a big name would end up being a bad decision. Especially with coaching jobs in bigger places always coming available.

That is a part of this I do believe. This university tolerates football and that is a part of the cultural problem we have!

Absolutely man. Duke is coming and they want that victory bell. And they simply cannot have it
