- This morning I woke up feeling particularly uninspired which got me wondering, is there a guide for when you're not feeling creative?
I quickly remembered that I have a sure fire way to get me out of a rut when I am feeling creatively uninspired so I thought I would share it with you.

You should give Davinci Resolve Free Edition a go mate. It's probably got everything you need. Plus the colour grading built into it is fantastic. So much so, that it's used by Hollywood filmmakers. I've been using it for a couple of years now and not found a need to upgrade to the paid version.
You could even make a video out of it... 'Trying Davinci Resolve For 30 Days'.
I've been thinking about this for a while, need to tear myself away from my creature of habit mentality! I Guess I'd also need to find suitable replacements for other Adobe Suite tools I use but I'm sure there is plenty out there
@@JohnRochford You should at least give it a try. Just think of the money you'll save too. Gimp is a good alternative to Photoshop apparently. It's free and open source too.

Nice video and well said - it's the procrastinating that kills creativity. Like most things, just the act of starting is the hardest part. Perfect time to bring up 'that' Sylvia Plath quote:
"I saw my life branching out before me like the green fig tree in the story. From the tip of every branch, like a fat purple fig, a wonderful future beckoned and winked. One fig was a husband and a happy home and children, and another fig was a famous poet and another fig was a brilliant professor, and another fig was Ee Gee, the amazing editor, and another fig was Europe and Africa and South America, and another fig was Constantin and Socrates and Attila and a pack of other lovers with queer names and offbeat professions, and another fig was an Olympic lady crew champion, and beyond and above these figs were many more figs I couldn't quite make out. Turns out she was just hungry and needed to eat. In other words, just start on something, anything, and fill yourself with a project - it doesn't matter about the others.

Cool video mate , I make music and have been for 2 years , I don’t really want to be a big producer but I just love doing it and my Spotify wrapped shows I have been getting more listers every year but sometimes I can go months without making anything I find it better just to do it when the time feels right you have a whole life to achieve goals there is no limit 👊🏻👊🏻
I think you’re right when you say ‘you have your whole life to achieve your goals’ but for me that just means if you fancy doing something, just do it!
