I’m a BDS student 4th year and watching dr Leon’s work makes me confident and my patients love it as I’m confident with my work .Thanks for making dentistry look easy.
I have the same case and my initial plan is to remove the impacted tooth but after 3 years of braces, my dentist convinced me to slowly pull the tooth instead. Last year she put a bracket on it surgically then after a year of pain, my teeth are finally complete. I’m 31 years old and waited for this moment for a really ling time. 😊
I have just had my two inverted canine teeth impacted in maxillary removed under GA. At first, we decided to use LA but I changed my mind just one day before surgery as I realized this surgery was going to be seriously tough and difficult yeah the doctor also acknowledged that my case is very rare only after performing the surgery coz they didn't want to scare me.The operation time lasted over two hours. I couldn't imagine if I went through this surgery under LA , GA was the best option for me. For the sake of the professionalism of surgeons and standard medical technology, my surgery was successfully done .Although I am having a little bit discomfort and pain, which is bearable, the injection of pain killer medicine through IV does help me endure the pain. Pray me for speedy recovery.......
@Sarcasticboiy_ you should get these two impacted canine removed as soon as possible . The older you are, the more difficult to extract them out as they are stuck in your bone not in the place they should be .so they are recognized as foreign bodies which can give you unexpected risks for example forming cyst the worst part is they potentially turn into tumor. Honestly, I had also got my 4 impacted wisdom teeth 3 days ago I'm still healing . So now totally I got 6 impacted teeth extracted out what a disaster !So my advice is to get removed by dental professionals before it gets too late
Im going to do surgery alomost the same position i have tension but after watched this video i gotten lots of courage. I can..... Thanku so much for this video❤

Wowww! 🤩So incredible to watch, doc!👏🏻👏🏻I had almost the same case. My front incisor was impacted for 26 yrs! I just knew about it when I decided to have my braces on. My dentist requested x-ray and then boom! Til now we’re trying to get it exposed to save it. I have a chain something in my front teeth for like months now and we saw improvement thanks god😌 She said that my case is her first rare case in her entire dentistry career of 20+ yrs.. The journey is very challenging 😅 Longing for a genuine and happy smile for years now 😔🙏
Nang-hina yung tuhod ko pero tinapos ko pa rin. 😆 Everything flashed back when my 3rd molar was removed a couple of months ago. Thank goodness it was already done before I saw this video. 🤣

I had a similar procedure! Tooth was stuck alll the way up in my pallete, only exposed via a minuscule bit of bone sticking out through my gum. so I went to a surgeon to get it exposed and a chain put onto it :] They ran out of nitrous and I didn’t want to be put under, so they just numbed me and did it while I was fully awake LOL. I think they were freaked out by how calm I was, and how every time they took the tools out of my mouth I just started talking with them. Procedure went well though! I do have another impacted tooth but that one isn’t worth the risk of surgery, too far away to move to the front of my mouth anyways, so it’s just left up in there. It’s completely on its side.
Doc brillo such a good doctor he operated me 11years ago. Jocking before he let me sleep under g.a. Hahaha always jocking when ever i see him for followup checkup.
so what's going to happen to the patient's missing lateral incisor? it looks odd missing not having that tooth, I'm guessing the patient has to move on without it.
Dr. arkhe , Im a mom and been following your vlogs for months now. Tanong ko lang po. Is it safe for me na magpa bunot nang ngipin 1 month after manganak?
Parang naabot ng 15mins or more pa ung bunot.
what would be the cause of dilaceration ? Was there any intrusive trauma to primary predecessor??? or any other injuries such as lateral luxation ? May subluxation of primary predecessor leads to dilaceration of permanent successor???
Any oral surgeon will tell you copious and constant irrigation… and probably also to use an electric hand piece like a Stryker. Air shouldn’t be blowing onto the site thru the hand piece because that’s a no-no. Best treatment is prevention.
Bone will necrose at 47 degrees Celsius, basically you're using the handpiece without irrigation so it overheats. Necrotic and sharp bone is removed and smoothened before sutures.
@@CJ-xk5ci Added to this, the handpiece used here is not the usual dental handpiece, its called a 45 degree handpiece, the air comes out from the sides of the head, unlike the normal handpiece.
@@AhmedFathy-lt6wl yea, I’m familiar with the hand piece used, I use them for perio surgeries primarily. I mentioned the Stryker because I had previously mentioned what an oral surgeon would say - most OMFS I know giggle at the use of air driven high speed hand pieces in OS procedures. I have a feeling they would also say there’s still a risk of pneumatization with the side vented hand piece.
Ohhhh I ain't gonna lie, this hurt my mouth to watch lol just thinking of how tender that part is and the healing......no no no I'd just have to live with it in my gums lol
Couldn’t u have sectioned the tooth horizontally then try to elevate it out half at a time instead of removing more bone each time ?? I’m an assistant (for 30 years now) and the doctors I’ve worked for some of them would do that(section it ) .
