Yes, part one was rather depressing, but I guess that's history and how it happened. I would of really liked a movie detailing the early revolutionary environment of Cuba after Part 1, the executions of the old guard, the land reform, nationalizations, the sabotage by the CIA, the Bay of Pigs. Especially considering Che was in charge of Cuba's economy for a while and was one of the main forces to going toward a centrally-planned model like the Soviet Union.

@@doncorleone1553 yes, very much toned down on-, and simplified the aspects of revolutionary Marxism-Leninism to make it palatable to Americans, as it is a movie made by the American film industry, sponsored by American investors and or governmental funds, made for Americans. Also it conveniently leaves out a lot of the CIA and FBI involvements, the war crimes and acts of subversions committed by the United States during the conflict with Cuba.
Down below I’ll link a documentary that, while certainly also biased, sheds a little more light on the circumstances of the movies and paints a broader picture without leaving out a lot of crucial points of the revolution. Check it out if you want:

We're getting better comrade. There'll be enough of us soon. What matters now is organising wherever we can, however we can. We can't repeat the mistakes of the past; we need to bring the revolution to America and Europe. Only then will the socialist project finally be allowed to succeed or fail based purely on it's own merits. We need to save the world before it goes off the deep end with climate change. We're the only shot the world has at achieving this without sliding back into fascism. It has to be us.

When will you stop looking for a hero or savior to follow and realize that human nature is always the same. If you murder to get to the top you’ll murder to stay there. Just like the woke left, when you’re values align with theirs it’s beautiful, it’s all of us in this together. When the time comes that you disagree on something - you are now the enemy. You will be cancelled! Communism and Globalism are the threats not capitalism. You can fight against capitalism without being murdered.

The third world and oppressed people's of the earth learned to fight based on what Che formulated, but like Bolivia, or the Congo, and all countries that achieved independence but not a sustainable country built upon loving your fellow human, Guevara fought against exponentially grander odd's, and that is the lesson. To sacrifice against the unbeatable, to sacrifice against the overwhelming ease of corrupted existence. Will people lose morality and dignity just to assimilate to the European world and it's overseeing institutions, or will they understand most people are cowards and snitches, in fear of being and feeling like less. We will live beside capitalism, we will allow you to exist, but our efforts look to present truth without force... and before the world's ecological demise, we hope you will agree with us then.

Don’t ever equate those two things. If communism was as bad as Nazism then the people of east Germany and Eastern Europe would have been exterminated long before the fall of the eastern block in the early 90s. What you’re doing is repeating a fascist talking point. “See the communists killed lots of people too so they are just as bad!” But you’re ignoring the fact that the Nazis had straight up death camps and killed 11 million people in 4 years. They also purposely targeted people because of their race and religion. That by the way would have been just the start if they won the war because they intended to exterminate most of the Slavic people in Eastern Europe and enslave the rest.
