- For this week’s Arizona shed hunting video, I have a few clips from some short hikes after work in some local areas. I pick up a few deer sheds and some elk sheds and I pick up my biggest set of bull elk sheds ever.

Used to live out by the mesa redondo ranch near Concho and we would find huge sheds all the time.

Live near Spokane Washington now and take my boys out all the time looking for horns and they love it.

Arguably one of the sickest sets I have ever seen! It doesnt look chipped or broke and Brown! You earned that one with all of the miles you put in! After that set you can throw away all of the rest of the elk sheds in your keeper pile, you just set the bar high!
Yeah, I can’t believe he isn’t busted off anywhere. I don’t really have a keeper pile, I sell everything, but I’ll probably hold on to these or at least get some replicas.
@@RogueOutdoorsmen You said you have some tags, but do you have any for that Unit? Or did you get drawn for over east, 1 and 27?
Boondock Patrol no tag for this unit, the wife drew the late 27 rifle bull tag. But still a great unit to find a stud.

@@RogueOutdoorsmen Rank above you? In what sense? I know tons of people with better and bigger stacks than any of those guys. Not everyone that shed hunts posts stuff on RUclips. Some of us don't like how social media has exploded the shed hunting crowd. It's not that I don't like competition it's that I like to be alone and see wildlife in the mountains when I go out. Not people.
@flatearthrandy yep sad that we go out now and see more human sign than wildlife. These social media guys don't seem to care. They like the crowds of people I guess.
It’s not affecting my areas at all. I still find pack fulls every time I go out.

I moved to Eagar a couple years ago, and just by coincidence met a guy who found two sets (different bulls) one straight typical, the other a non-typical that were 26 lbs PER ANTLER! (52 lbs for the set), for the typical, and 27 lbs per antler (54 lbs for the set) for the non-typical. I actually held the typical set, the non-typicals were hanging high up on the shop wall. Fat doesn't begin to describe how thick/beefy they were. Since then I've only found about 8 or 10 routine elk sheds, and among those, only one brown.

I'm haven't seen all the biggest sheds out there in Video land... but that is the biggest set I've ever seen on video, not mention a super cool inline 6th. with all the extra cheaters... WOW, WHAT a STUD BULL!. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Gary. He didn't score real high, 383", and I have seen bigger sets picked up on video. But I will keep hiking and hopefully one day I will find a 400" set of sheds.

Love watching your videos but get homesick every time... Ended up in Nebraska with the USAF and have been able to make it home for a couple elk hunts but miss the shed season. Thanks for sharing.
Hey trent I live in snowflake as well and love your vids. We sold some antlers to Ken Owen's the other day and his son found a monster. Weighed over 14 pounds. Congrats on that set. One can only dream to pick up something similar.

Thats true. Some are once in a lifetime. I found a could good size bulls but nothing like that. Going to hit the hills again tomorrow.

Dammmm!!! I'd love to have the opportunity to find an elk shed let alone a set like that. I live in the midwest n our elk herd is small (1500 or so) and mostly north. Makes my 169in whitetail set look like tooth picks...lol. Way to go!!! What a great past time, nature n bones.

No, there are bulls that are 40” - 50” bigger than this bull. There are some giant 6x6 bulls that have bigger frames than this bull.
