I suddenly had this surge of inspiration for a thumbnail idea after already releasing the video, just had to go make it police guard Noelle a thing. I find it funny and basically what Noelle does in this match-up anyways.
From my experience there are two types of Noelle OTK. One is a rush deck primarily suitable for PVE. The idea is to get Noelle's ult asap by using her normal attacks on early turns, and only switch to avoid large incoming damage. Another is a slower control deck better suited for PVP. The goal is to outlast your opponent while cycling through your entire deck to prepare for a guaranteed OTK.
thanks for this informative gameplay, still waiting for complete guide for this deck, i love it so much cuz this deck is mad tanky and funny. your works are rly good keep it up
Im also using the same concept, except im using barbara in place of ganyu, she helps creating shields by crystalize and also provides insane healing which makes the deck a lot more annoying for players who face it.
Ty I beat an ayakamiya deck just now after watching this video I saw that u played a lot slower countering their moves, tbh it takes a great understanding of the deck and game to do that Instead i got aggressive and charged up noelles ult early before their yoimiya so that when she switched to ayaka it was already sweeping time :)
Yes I was so confused with your play, ayaka was doing 1 damage to your ganyu, no danger to charge your burst, but then you switched to noelle to shield again for some reason xD still cool to see how you recovered. And you could add whatever music to the x4 speed up, also adding black border to the white letters helps to read it easier but you decide
i was wondering have you ever tried mona/xingqiu/rhodeia in place of ganyu? or maybe the lawachurl in place of ningguang? just wanna know your opinion on those
This is something I'd want to cover in my guide as well, but I'm already here so might as well. Base: What Ganyu brings to the table is basic elemental application, and Ganyu burst is 2 energy and effectively does 3 damage to all enemies. 1) Mona elemental skill provides better element application than Ganyu because if opponent changes character they'll also get hydro later. Mona also is a free "Leave it to me". Both are great aspects, trade for more utility from Mona instead of damage from Ganyu. 2) Xingqiu elemental skill basically same as Ganyu, but Xingqiu hydro himself all the time and I kinda just don't personally like it (smarter people than me can make it cancel reactions, I'd just make it help the opponent do more damage). He works fine though, trade for more single target damage from Xingqiu instead of AoE damage from Ganyu. 3) Rhodeia is weird, her elemental skill is effectively better than Ganyu and the other two above, but the value is delayed. The damage is really good for single target too, since ending a round with all three summons can equal 5 hydro damage on one enemy. Trade for more of a duel carry using Rhodeia instead of a supportive role from Ganyu. 4) Lawachurl is basically a more damage focused Geo alternative. Effectively 11 HP to start, and +1 dmg per round effectively enables a massive 4 damage with elemental skill, that easily gives Noelle Wolf's Gravestone execution. With a 2 energy cost burst, also extremely good with Adeptus’ Temptation doing a whole 8-9 damage. I think Lawachurl is legitimately a better choice with more flexibility and durability than Ningguang, but I just personally like Ningguang for a defensive elemental skill. TL;DR All three Ganyu replacement suggestions are fine, just know what you want to use them for. Lawachurl probably actually better over Ningguang, but personally I like Ningguang, that's really it.
@@lilahliliumlily9883 i just tried noelle ganyu lawachurl against ayaka yoimiya xingqiu (unfortunately for me the person knew how to handle their deck). lawachurl carried the last 2 rounds lol, tanking xingqiu swords + yoi explosion and landing the final hit maybe i’ll try a deck with ning in the future. thanks for the input👍
Lawachurl is so OP on turn 1. If you got Geo +1 dice, bit of luck on rolling dice and 2 cost Paimon helps too. He can OTK any unit off guard. Turn 1 - Elemental skill (4 damage), turn 2 - same (3 damage), turn 3 use +1 Geo dice and burn action cards for Geo dice (they will be caught off guard with this) and E skill again (3 damage) or burst if enemies are somewhat shielded or healed. That's 4+3+3 in 1 turn lmao. I killed many Yoimiya setters with this and they will instantly rage quit. 😂
You ate a lot of food. This gameplay expanded my horison to the new level. Well played. I will only play on NPC only aside from 1 pvp as most of pvp is toxic.
The genshin community really needs to stop using the OTK term. OTK=One Turn Kill, which is when you kill your opponent from 100% hp to zero in one turn, or one round in genshin terms. This is not a OTK deck by any means, it's more of a grinder deck which means they stall out the game, slowly doing chip damage. Half of the enemy units were dead before round 5...
nice first roll lol. although his big mistake is that seeing that you will get 1st turn next round with pretty decent setup, he should have played quicker Diona shield -> either switch and attack if he can, or end round there, instead of trying to set those supports. and well, they all have same issue of not being flexible enough. like 5:47 switch to Diona is good, but then he switched back to muh Ayamiya setup. Big mistake. It's a Noelle 2 geo team. Ofc the win con is on Noelle, either turtling or just use ult. would have been clear if they had just read her skill description.
Any double geo with Noelle and a non-geo heavy attacker character like Razor, especially with Mirror Maiden can counter Yoiyaka OTK pretty hard though. You can usually sneak up Adeptus food to kill or heavily damage one important character before they can do their thing. Mirror Maiden especially when she use her card which can cause switching to cost 1 additional dice. Razor and Noelle have their burst damage boost after initial burst, Razor burst if the opponent die before the wolf hit, the wolf will go for the next active character. Lawachurl, Mirror Maiden, Noelle together all of them only cost 2 energy for one burst, allowing a quick heavy blow, with Adeptus food can be lethal very early dealing up to 8 damage.
I use a noelle xq mona mona is just a sac unit, you have the switch bonus and the skill to guard off some damage when switching to xq for ult set up. I set up artifacts weapons and fluff during mona's life. Is more dpendant on Noelle popping off and 1 or 2 turn ko game but also simpler to play, you do sacrifice the geo resonance but the game should only last 5 rounds max
Good video, this deck actually loses to Yoi/Ayaka/Chongyun the hardest I beat basically everything else, use slightly different cards but I might tweak it for even more dice. I figured I can delay or just eat their bursts with ning or noelle and usually ganyu comes out and dies or gets very low first. Super strong comp, but it can struggle against some. Yoimiya is so annoying to fight but I usually beat it with this
Yoimiya is a beast. But I'll rather have XQ than ayaka. Xq basically forces your opponent to switch characters to not get frozen which gives you a free turn and waste a dice. Also dmg reduction. xq burst deals Dmg with every NA which synergise with yoi much better.
Im using this deck too, but im using oceanid instead of ganyu since her summon can easily apply hydro and trigger crystallize. Noelle otk is a good deck tho
So real quick, just wanna put this out there: The opponent wasn’t actually playing the Ayaka/Yoimiya deck very well. In fact, it’s not even the scary version (the supports are wrong, and diona is bad). Still, good show.
Tried it myself, and have to say it's a very fun and also very strong deck Starting almost every fight with sacrificial goat allows to fit a frostflake arrow shot and/or ult which leaves every enemy around ~6-8 hp before she dies, so the cleanup with Noelle afterwards is usually pretty easy I wonder if they'll nerf minty rolls eventually, because omnidice generation + minty rolls feels too op Geo resonance also pretty strong disabling most high damage combos
you don't need it with this comp. I ran this comp as a test, normally use kathryn but didn't use it here I basically won because they just can't damage you the way you can damage them and I delay with ninguang if I don't pull good early ganyu setup seems pretty decent, won 7/10 in first tests
I usually don't use Katheryne, only time I expect to want priority in my movement is when Noelle needs to keep a character in check, which two "Leave it to me" does, otherwise I rather not steal priority and risk ending turn first. That's basically my reasoning, and that there are also many times it's better to just waste a combat turn switching to a character to force opponent to do something, which Katheryne can't be turned off to let me do that if the situation calls for it.
@@lilahliliumlily9883 this, and with heavy card drawing and dice generation, you are gonna have extra hits everywhere with this comp. Chef Mao is broken weaved into this build
I thought so when I first start playing but as it turns out Kathy is actually not as good as it seems. In this game, going first and going second can both be advantageous depending on the situation. In an OTK deck, going second is better therefore you don't want the quick action. You want your opponent to finish their turn early which opens up opportunity for you to excute an OTK.
Following my point, Kathy is also bad because your enemy knows that EVERY of your switch is fast action. That predictability makes it less good in PVP, compared to event card Leave it to Me.
Yup, Ningguang just a more defensive second geo option, Lawachurl is a more offensive one, so make your values worth and hit them hard with that +1 dmg buff.
Xingqiu would be a better choice as you get to reapply hydro after every hit. This will let you gain an insane amount of shields. Calx's will help you build Xingqiu without the hydro self application.
Throughout 3 days ago til now, i have used noelle team with xingqiu while faced someone with a ganyu instead twice. Won both games with a record 11-2. Edit: i was losing a bit more than half my games before against ganyu, ayaka or yoimiya teams.
