    Did he make Justin get on his knees, pull his hair as Justin sang his signature 1982 ballad by one hit wonder Charlene "I've Never Been to Me". It must have reminded him of Mama at Studio 54 and on the dance floor with the Rolling Stones in 1977 BURP!

    Justin Trudeau is brilliant here on the value of Canadian culture and identity and the importance of sharing our unique stories on the world stage. Creativity is born from the layering of our diverse experiences and identities on existing forms and this is where Canada is incredibly rich. Canada should be investing in its creative class of citizens to help them bring their stories to the world stage and because of the level of influence the arts exert and the capacity of the arts to generate revenue from ideas. The world needs our stories about life in Canada to help them aspire to what we all have created here together. I personally am delighted that Justin Trudeau is so passionate about the value of culture to Canada from an intellectual as well as a business standpoint.

    Another revealing truth when he talks about how Pierre was more interested in facts and intellectual treatments of discourse...whereas Justin is simpler with a love for story telling. That is why Pierre will always be a infinitely better PM than Justin ever could be. Substitute drama teacher should have been the height of his career.

      Matthew Mckenna
      I have to look at the overall opinions and ideas of their party too. I live near Toronto now, but I almost moved to Vancouver a while back. I need to know what the party wants to do with the country. For example, I don't want Canada to go to war with the new Islamic State. I think dropping science textbooks and condoms would be better than bombs. I also think protecting Canada's fresh water for current and future generations is a major priority, which would involve severely limiting most corporations, and heavily regulating and supervising any coming near our water. This is important no matter where you live because a lot of bottled water comes from all over Canada, especially Quebec. So, now I wonder which party thinks similarly.

      Matthew Mckenna Agreed, because heaven knows we cannot actually vote for PM in Canada. It should be one vote to one candidate or party, scrap the riding BS. You look at sheer numbers, the majority of Canadians tend to vote left but the rural areas- where no one actually lives- has an equal say in who is elected. It is wrong and set up to benefit the banks.

    • @TheYoungWolfI
      @TheYoungWolfI 9 лет назад +3

      *****
      That's why they should consider a coalition sometimes, when conservatives have too much power for too long. On the other hand, I can see the majority of conservative voters getting older and dying off. Look at the average Fox and Sun news viewers for example: mostly elderly folks. I also find it a strange coincidence that most conservative voters have less education and smaller IQs (statistically) than liberal voters. And the upcoming younger generation (us) are collecting college and university degrees. It's also strange that highschools have very recently toned down their curriculum and teachers are being demonized everywhere. Shouldn't last though. We know better.

  • @darrenpelletier8014

    Trudeau is such a baby, he has no idea what Canada needs, he always says ''we need more dialogue with communities'' and ''we have to have courage to ask important questions'' but to what end? It's such generic politician slogans and buzz words that have no meaning, He says what he thinks you want to hear. What will you actually do , what is your platform, and stop saying your so biased towards Quebec. Each province is different and have different riches and needs. Mr. Trudeau, go back to high school.

    • @LongDrivesAtNight5150
      @LongDrivesAtNight5150 9 лет назад

      I have to agree with you there. I'm not usually a liberal voter, but if I had to, I could have mark an X for Garneau at election time. If anything, would prefer the liberals over the insane NDP and their flock. But I would never vote for him because Trudeau is a goof and people fall at his knees, weeping and gnashing their teeth because of his last name. Harper has done some things I fully support, some other things don't support at all. There are many in the conservative base not happy with some things he has done, but we have no choice because the liberals got an asshat for a leader and the NDP, well, NDP are beyond idiocy. The last NDP delegate convention is enough to scare anyone with the least bit of sense....the things the delegates would like the party to adopt and the way Canada should go is plain bat shit crazy.

    I wonder what was going through Jian's wandering mind as Justin droned on with his high school drama teacher prose. Was it "Oh how I'm good at getting away with slapping women around", or "Oh how I'm good at getting away with pretending to conduct a serious interview with the King of Smarmy"? Thankfully, the number of sundowns after this pathetic excuse for an interview was fewer than the fingers of my hand before Jian was handed his parting gift of humble pie by the CBC's latest cutback. And thankfully, the number of years is fewer than the fingers of Papa's Salmon Arm salute before Canadians go to the polls to write the political obituary of this other fop...

LOL Kind of makes you wonder if Jian's recent scandal, which seems to have come about immediately after this interview, might not be related to a possible Trudeau beef for being asked a few tough questions and not being greeted as the wonderful savior. Just wondering... This whole 45 min interview comes across as "intelligent, thoughtful question" Trudeau's reply, "bla bla bla".

      athlonz2007 As a first time voter I will be voting for Trudeau just for the Cannabis. As a Canadian citizen I have been smoking weed for over 10 years+ very happily spending $1000's of un-taxed dollars on weed. I feel like my government has taken what it means to be a free Canadian citizen and made it a punishment by not allowing me to be me, since you can be you, why can't I be me? I even took my drivers test stoned smoking more than double what I do in a day now before noon so I would be way more stoned then I would ever want to be and passed first try... I honestly feel Cannabis may have been mislabeled as a drug and I would love to take a field sobriety test the same as the alcohol one in front of a cop to prove it has no effect on driving.

Harper is in no way a leader but a very good spin doctor dictator who has brought us to absolute shame. Justin may not be ready yet to lead us into the next stage of growth but the other two just make my cry! And from what I see here in print we are in sad sad sad shape, I think a lot of you should maybe move to the USA where you would fit in a bit better. Poor children !

      If younger is automatically better, why stop at Trudolt? Let's vote for an embryo. You don't list any of the "changes" you think "need to happen," but changes were certainly needed after Trudolt Senior left office, and Justin thinks a lot like him (just not as well.) Recovering from Trudolt Senior has taken decades. Pierre left us with: Unprecedented debt. Quebec separation threats - directly linkable to his actions. Burgeoning socialism. Entrenched expensive / useless bureaucracy. Justified Western anger over his patently unfair NEP. International disdain. The most accurate history of the Trudeau legacy is Bob Plamondon's "The Truth About Trudeau." Yet, the silly idol-worship continues, and based upon it, silly Canadians think Trudeau Junior will also be _just awesome!_ Never mind his admiration for socialism, his vacuous non-responses, his confusion about the gun registry, his Quebec-centricty, his lack of realization that Islam is an actual threat, his apparent grasp of the gravity of a Russian invasion of the Ukraine... He'll be _just awesome!_

    • @bladder1010
      @bladder1010 9 лет назад +5

      That still seems like a pretty shallow reason to select a political leader for Canada. You might as well go by shoe size.
      Even so, actually the fastest growing age demographic in Canada are senior citizens.
      43 isn't young, but I'll admit he certainly has a Peter Pan quality. That probably comes from being chauffeured to school in limousines as a child, and never having held down a real job in his entire life.
      My God, if this is the level our democracy has sunk to, then we are royally fucked.

  • @JB-sz4wy
    @JB-sz4wy 9 лет назад

    It is very silly of him to bring this into context about culture - sure it's important although I do not think having more ballet or symphony orchestra is going to be cost efficient for a place. In Atlantic Canada, people living in small towns face no health care professional in the area and have no minimal market for shops where they can buy what they want or need without going to Halifax or another major town. These people do not even have money to travel to the cities or urban areas to get something, such as an important aid, medical device or have a prescription filled or to see a special health care professional if they need one and they have to pay high prices for everyday items one needs to buy. These people will say that ballet and symphony orchestra is essential, (of course). Only the rich retired people who work in arts and cultural professions have money for entry fees to these shows which are expensive and temporary and will only go to urban areas anyway and most tourists would rather casually look around a place than they would sit for two hours through something like that and not be able to use the washroom except on an intermission. Bring in more good affordable everyday services to an area such as good restaurants, cafes bars, stores and specialty products - something the citizen or tourist of average wealth can afford when visiting a place. Maybe keep some museums in good condition, and also bring improved health care and such facilities to areas with poor amenities, especially ones where there is hardly anything to be able to buy without having to go to the city.

    I am for for legal weed - I don't think he would be the best solution. Mulcair is most open minded about it. Im not a fan of marijuana like some people can be although I have enjoyed it once in a while and think like anything that it can have its benefits. I like hemp anyway and thats from the same plant, you can buy it in the stores. I do not think it should be a factor in determining a persons character if they do it occasionally - all the time is something else. As far as tobacco (like pot)- its the health factors of it that can be an issue although what about breathing barbecue smoke? Should the government put health warnings on barcecues or campfire areas as technically you are breathing in smoke when attending one or using one? Of course I will continue to do it as I enjoy it. Besides that you are less likely to die so they say of the odd thing like that or the odd smoke than you are from being run over, statistics say, showing the safety of cars which are legal - just like to make sharp comments

    more I see of this man (Trudeau) the more I want to vote for him - it might be naive, but I want to be excited about Canadian politics again...

      You are naive. He is talentless and was only chosen because of his cheekbones and last name... if that excites you about politics your not really interested in politics. You're interested in TMZ.
