Model years not always match with calendar years. The facelifted XK with the 5.0l V8, new transmission and new suspension setup and the round dial shifter came in late 2009 as a 2010 model year if I'm not mistaken

09 had the 5.0. But 2010 got 5.0 and pop up shifter .
