Perfectly synced with the movement of the vehicles, too
Also when you flip the car over, the engine will get flooded with oil and generate blue smoke, then die
the exhaust sound on the arsenic cherrier also changes if you switch modes.
I wonder how you switch modes tho?
A person on the Internet vehicle Config
@@janejanebobanebananafannaf2522 Ctrl+Q I think
You can just press the drivmode button on the ui
@@chituron thanks
BeamNG is a labour of love and it shows. I just hope they turn it from a simulator to a full on game some day.
They are working on a campaign so, yeah, probably.
it already has a campaign, very early on but they've been working on it! :)
The 1.0 version of the game will be insane
A Differential is working just like in real life, if the engine is off and you have a locked differential, you can simply shift in a gear and rotate a wheel with control to turn the engine on
You should have put down the air pressure in those drag slick for an actual flex, what you've shown is nothing compared to what it can simulate.
this is the comment I had.
true, real drag slicks usually run 10 psi even down to 5 sometimes, top fuel dragsters use 2.5 if i remember correctly
You can also rev-match and shift without the clutch. If you put a modern car in park, it won't engage until the car is moving slowly, and if you position the camera in the front of the car, you can hear the intake sucking in air when you rev the engine.
Ok, when you demonstrated how the brake rotors can break, you sold me. I've been familiar with this game for some time now, but all the little details you illustrated have me 100.1% ready to go, well done ✌️
Right? It's like they really thought of everything! The devs must be really passionate car enthusiasts.
If a engine starves of oil, it revs slower up, oil overheats, and the engine gets louder.
6:20 awesome, but realistically that truck would probably have drums in the back lol.
Great video, and MAJOR respect for the devs! It's like a bunch of dedicated car enthusiasts got together and made a list of things that bug them about other driving games, realism-wise.
You can have drums but not all trucks have them. They are simulated in game with its own thermal dynamics
The engine for the game is pretty optimised too. I had a very bad pc before and it still ran the game max settings at 40fps at least
The only thing I find a little funny is that most cars don't have fuel caps. It's really wacky cuz they have modled fuel tanks.
actually ive never noticed that one
what's modled?
@@rizsley the physical fuel tank. But there isn't a fuel cap for that fuel tank...
there is a mod for this. but the devs are aware. they purposely didn’t put them in. i can’t remember why
yes its has already but inside the car imagine the fuel tank outside it will blow up
This game has finally got the recognition it deserves!
Just show the thermal engine stats, it's crazy, it's calculating every jule of energy transferred between parts of engine
2:41
Yet they still don't have manual shifters animated
Lmao jk
true, but I'm sure they're working on it
That will be awesome dude, and imagine an invisible Cleetus Mcfarland changing from 2 to 3 hahaha
The satsuma from my summer car has it (mod for beam ng)
@@jme.147 yes some mods have it but it's not in the vanilla cars yet, there's a off-road gokart conversion mod for the piccolina that does it too
sequential is faster anyway smh
Yes beamng drive is the best
All we need is mud physics
@@jme.147 true😢
I love how you got the engine out of the car at 6:30 lmao
They weren't kidding when they said "with years of research and experience"
6:35 when i rage in beam ng when the ai dont do what i want the ai do
I just fucking throw them at like 1 million miles per hour and turn them into pancakes
Lmao
I can't get them to spawn. I am new so I probably just missed a setting.
It actually took me a long time to notice how detailed the tire physics are in this game
This game is really awesome
Something I always found interesting - If you shift to park on a very steep hill the car will slide.
But the drive wheel with the least grip will rotate in reverse due to the differential.
With all that detail I’m surprised my computer doesn’t go potato mode.
also about the tire defformation
use the tune menu to change the tire's pressure
it is already fact that the tire pressure can completely change a vehicles handling
Love your channel bro...i'll swear of god this channel will be famous😊👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
beamNG.drive has to be the most realistic car game in the world like come on everything in this game is simulated well no other car game dose this and there is so much stuff to do in the game as well the maps are massive you got a cool car selection and mods are a thing and are super easy to download.
also you can get planes bikes boats and trains! the creators really took care into there game!
dang, i keep getting recommended cool videos published by cool channels with less than 1000 subs
Yea my videos are getting a strong surge lately, I’m so shocked and thankful. Soon when I’m back home in a few days finally, I’m gonna roll out multiple BeamNG vids a week !
That's why i love beamng
The vehicle shakes because of newton's 3rd law. The force needed to spin the driveshaft rotates the car in the opposite direction
Also the atmosphere is simulated, the higher you go, the less air, thus less power to the engine
“Realistic details found in BeamNG.Drive”
The entire team that’s been working to make BeamNG.Drive the most realistic driving sim on the market: 😎👌
Man keep.up the great work. You DESERVE more subscribers!!!!@ come on yall! Great videos as always.
That's why this game is one of my favourites
Cameraman: Hm, this is too tight, how do i suppose to film the engine...
Crash Doctor TV: "pull the whole engine out" , is this good?
Cameraman: wha...
Beam ng is like 10 years ahead of its time
I wonder what detail will be born if R* and the creators of Beam.ng decide to make a physics based ragdoll game
Wow that would be mastarpiece
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt graphics and Crysis 3 details = perfect game
im you re 500 subber =) i hope you ll get to 1000 asap!
Thank you so much
All i can think of are 3 things that arent simulated. Tire heat/wear, certain types of engine wear and the manual shifter. Ngl that last one bugs me a little bit. Nice vid tho
This is why beamNG could be the best and most realistic racing game in the near future, like u managed to make a 7:32 video on the attention to detail in it and that is just the start
So true, so many details in this game I feel like there could be 5 part video series on details
Try holding Ctrl... it'll show you a bunch of the nodes in the model, and you can grab them with the mouse and drag them around. It's really fun.
The tires always have a few dozen nodes in them. That's why tire deformation is so good.
The tires even expand as they spin faster, and most explode when driving on them above ~250 MPH (which is surprisingly realistic- the Chiron needed special tires to break 300 MPH).
I belive in future they will make trees houses and all the stuff brake acordingli to real phisics.. imagine that..
Now we just need this career mode we been waitin 6yrs for
Also, brake fading when they are too hot or engine overheating and blowing up due to not warming it up or doing heavy towing
I would like to see a forza-like game, with beamng’s physics and details
You would need a nasa computer to render and compute all that info
But u have to pay for dmg.. :)
@@aidanlee7137 no, now beam ng is very optimized, you can run even 4 vehicles on old pc's under more than 30 fps.
0:05 I kinda figured this out given the fact that I’ve put in a 500ci NHRA Hemi in some vehicles, and the way the frame twists and some of the cars fly off the track.
Another thing is when your car's on fire, if you see the brakes are starting to fade on the damage indicator thing and then you extinguish it, the brakes will still be smoking from the heat.
props for the beamng devs
New tire model makes it even better now
Bro the tire deformation literally is satisfying
Great video!!
when you pull off the exhaust pipe, the car's engine noise gets louder too
It’s dynamic physics, that’s why.
rims can also dent if you drive to fast on the curb
My laptop would explode just trying to run the tire physics
The magic of Beamng!
This is why i play beamng so much
Reasons why we need 18gb of ram 🐏
I've run this game just fine on 8gb. I have 16gb now, but 8 is the amount you need.
@@Piggy_Gaming19 same, I need to get another 8g 😂
this game runs 60fps max graphics west coast USA with gt 1030. But 8GB ram runs fine unless with traffic
Lmfao imagine needing 16 GB ram, I'm using 4 gb
@@SpoonR24 ok but what's the cpu? It's the most important thing for this game
The one big thing they forgot was to put seatbelts on the cars 😂 unless theres some kind of reason they didn’t include them
Good point lol
Clearly you haven't smashed a car into a wall at 3000km/h and it shows
lol
ikr
things usally turn into a glitchy pancake
Imagine if snowrunner have this damage physics
rigs of rods: are you challenging me!?
Hav u got an updated mud map? The map with the rocks in it. The 1 on repo is no texture now. Prob needs materials.cs updated i assume
now all we need is air bags
Sick video 👍
I wish they add scrape marks and dust buldup in the future
I see potential in this channel.
Thanks, I took a break and my views went up... so I’ll do some more BeamNG content. Any requests for me just leave a comment
@@crashdoctortv3198 how about maybe a cool drift compilation on Beamng? That’d be cool to see.
@@crashdoctortv3198 Honestly you can easily do a part two, I know a lot more low level crazy stuff about BeamNG insane details, so if you need ideas just reply I can make a huge list with things relatively easy to show ;)
@@kamilg8026 Go ahead I would appreciate ideas!! I’ll do a part two and give ya credit in the video too 👍
Huh... I have no idea what to start with, anyway maybe first check out this quick articles:
- Mythbusters' experiment in BeamNG
www.beamng.com/threads/cannon-science.63890/
-- Some Zero-G physics phenomenon
blog.beamng.com/Tennis-racket-theorem-check/
- That's actually my thread so my 5 cents about centrifugal forces and aero
www.beamng.com/threads/beamng-science.28426/
- More than just correct tire-ground friction!
www.beamng.com/threads/physics-demonstrations-in-beamng.34620/
Alright those were just a few stuff showcasing BeamNG extreme detailed physics engine. Nothing is even close to BeamNG in that matter. But let's go forward. Mind that each point below related to physics is true to real life too:
- A tire will float on water (all tires react differentely, due to size, weight and ammount of air inside - so even difference in buoyancy if it have different pressure)
- Punctured tire will sink - knowing that there should be a subtle difference between sinking a car with inflated and punctured tires, one with punctured tiresh should sink a little bit faster.
- Inflated tire will "implode" if you force it in deep underwater, due to higher ambient pressure
- The higher you are, the lower ambient temperature is (~0.6*C each 100m)
- The higher you are, the less dense air is so following; lower air drag, but also less efficient cooling, less oxygen in air in same volume, so less efficient combustion, so less power - yeah that's how it works in BeamNG.drive. Also you can take inflated mat from ground level to like 10km over it and it shall be expanded as there's less ambient pressure that high.
- race brake pads require higher temperatures of brake discs to reach best performance, but also won't fade away as quick as casual brake system. Well yeach you can overheat your brakes, you can even glaze brakes.
- Rivers have a powerfull flow current that can move light objects
- the bigger and sportier the brakes the more noises they produce (it's WIP, so atm it may not work properly, but it worked in past)
- if car is upside-down engine will be flooded with oil and will start to burn it, but also it won't be sucked through oil channels which will lead to quick seizure if you won't turn it off.
- some ignition problems may occur after accidents ( new function, highly WIP )
- proggresive damage, well look at this scenario: You've crashed slightly and damaged radiator, but decided to drive away, you loose coolant, so cooling efficiency is proggresively lower, at one poin even with thermostat fully open your engine starts to overheat, that leads to header gasket failure, which mean now coolant leaks in to combustion chamber itself, that causes a not optimal mixture, so now your engine is weaker and creates white smoke. Further more oil starts to cook damaging turbocharger if you have one and deffinitely all the heat and friction causes piston rings to fail, now engine is also burning oil. Even less efficient fuel mixture, additionally blue smoke, less power, from now on it's only a matter of moments and due to lack of oil and coolant your engine will seize. - that's simplified version, without me explaining certain effects.
- If you take a vechicle that can produce more downforce thatn it weights then you can drive it upside-down ( not for long as oil problems will occur, unless it's a 2 stroke or electric )
- object can skipp on water ( like skipping a rock on a pond ) cars too!
- Snorkles on cars do work
- When you drive in to water you can cool your engine and brakes really quick
- Reverse gear in most vechicles is a straight cut gear type, so while driving backward there's iconic whine, in BeamNG very realistically simulated depending on speed and load on a gear.
- With proper offroad cars you can close and open differentials also switch between high and low speed gears.
- Smoke follows position of exhaust pipe, so if you relocate your exhaust pipe, smoke will always come out of the end of it, unles you break it then it's after exhaust manifold, also if you rip it off you'll much often hear bangs and see fire coming out of it.
- Overreving damage if you downshift at too high rpm
- Gears damage in manual transmission if you'll push gears without using clutch
- There's a whole subsystem for sensors to simulate real car sensors readings, so instead of reading values game know, it simulates how it would work in a car, therefore it's simulating delays and imprefections to make it closer too real life.
- Torque twist - you've shown torque action with revving engine, but you can show a whole chassis flex, best would be on a drag bastow, because it's powerfull and have "x" shaped frame which wasn't too rigid, that way you can see one side of a car will raise much more in initial acceleration ( best effect on dragstrip, due to high grip asphalt laid there ) due to torque revving forces, if engines, driveshafts etc would spin opposite way, cars would flex the other way too. Or heavy loaded powerfull T-seies going uphill
- so far you can overheat your brakes, clutch, oil, coolant
- pup-up lights
- nice attention to detail is that some old sport cars are very easy to overheat, as in past one of the main challanges was to be smart with throttle, as it was easy to go quicker, but for few laps then car had to be driven way more carefull or it wouldn't survive till finish line.
- even particles are tied to gravity, simply set car a fire and set gravity to pluto, and now smoke and fire will react way more lazy, due to less gravity, pressure is lower, so there is less forces to "pull" those up, unlike jupiter gravity, this one will make fire more brisk - that effect is also correct to real life. Well that's one of the reasons why we had to wait so long for a first picture from Mars surface, as dust took very long to fall back.
- you can use line-lock for burnouts without overheatingrear brakes, or two-step for better accelration from full stop
- Sport Vivace versions have different sound depending on drive mode, as flaps close and open in exhaust
- with sport ECU and suspension you can tune heck ton of stuff
- functional hydraulic suspension system (Gavril BlueBuck)
- functional pneumatic suspension system (Wentward)
- colideable, dynamic antennas
- if you crash a piano it will play some breaking strings noises
- decently detailed engine bays (mind not all cars are yet redone to current standard)
- a nice detail is that cars aren just moddeled to look different, but whole rigidity is taken in to account, so old cars are way more dangerous in case of a crash. while newer ones have strategically planned crumple zones.
Well that's something I've quickly came up, not everything is easy to show, but I'm quite time limited, and I don't simply remember everything, guess it's 1/2 of things I've learned about BeamNG.drive. When I'll find more time I'll try to think about other stuff too.
This was not a german license plate. German license plates would be like: RZ HN 302 or OD J 2 or HH AA 20. The front letters depend on were you living, the second part of letters depends on what is your name or also a random letter. Everything goes. And the numbers are random numbers, too. But you can choose your birthday or something important for you.
If you tow a super heavy load using the T-series with lots of torqe, the engine will twist the frame and bring one tire off the ground
Its the best car game ever, its all we been dreaming for and it is here..
The hubs caps also bend when they are off the car and flying away
this game will always have realistic physics
BeamNG's physics are just realistic
What’s next? The pistons & crankshaft & valvetrain actually work & they all are fully functional rather than for show?
Fuel gauge is accurate and drains with a puncture
0:38 I knew this because i like to rock crawl with like 5 psi in my tires
What do u expect from car detail game xD of course they goes through all the details about the cars
2:04 my sister shifting gears while screaming and running from a spider
Only the people who play this game a lot would have probably already knew these
Is 500 hours a lot?
@@Sp00kq ha pathetic I’ve been playing for exactly 3,435 and that should say a lot. I need a fucking life
From Live For Speed to BeamNG.
When you hit a Vehicle hard to rip of the Engine Mounts, but the engine atill runs. When ypu rev it it the engine will shake more
Hmm it’s almost like it’s a simulation game that simulates all the different parts of a car and the strength off all the materials
Also the g forces are simulated, if you get a car spinning very fast, it will deform from the cetrifugal forces
How fast? I’d love to test this!
@@crashdoctortv3198 well I'm not quite sure. If you drive off a cliff and start doing cart wheels (rotating around the sides) you can see the results of parts flying off without collisions. The best way to see it is slow motion though.

no attention to detail here, this game simulates everything
The only thing it lacks is a decent campaign mode or some kind of progresion system
its been like coming soon since alpha stage
what kind of evil tachometer shows revs from right to left
Aston Martin one 😉
I hope I'll see this in GTA 6
2:15
Insert "Yes - Roundabout" here
oh so that's why it runs at 4 frames per second in my laptop
Does not just move the car while you rev just because yes, its because of all the torque and it changes with the amount of power
If I'm right, there is also tire flex, or is the game glitching
These details are awesome but they aren't new to beam ng a lot of games have some of the details you showcased for example the tire deformation is also on snow/mudrunner
Yes but does snowrunner have rilistic soft body physics or Maybe actual tourque twist on the vehicle or maybe breaking drive shafts to completely kill the vehicle or even plane or boat
If snowrunner n beaming worked together to make one game it would be unbeatable
I searched up the license plates and yes, they were real.
I love a BeamNG
If gta type of game could have beam physics
The only thing missing is tyre wear
