Congratulations on 100k ATC!! I was really looking forward to the day you hit that milestone, and now you finally have! I'm so happy for you. Keep up the great content! Here’s to 100k subs 🍻
Say it ain't so... Really wish I kept up with my N64 games for something like this! A wonderful way for them to work around any kind of law suit Nintendo could pull on them. Not just that the OG CONTROLLERS are even compatible!
First of all, when I first heard o the N64, I was surprised and frighten that Mario first popped out at the “Press Start” screen at Super Mario 64 but now I find it exciting, second that new console looks very sweet and third, congrats on reaching 100,000 subscribers man, may be on the road to next 100,000! I hope so.
Analogue is the Apple of Clone Consoles. These consoles can play the original games in 4K, plus the console uses hardware emulation, rather than software emulation. I do wish it was a bit lower, but it is the most premium N64 you are going to get for that price point.
@@jordan5111 I’m sure it will have additional features, like how the Analogue Pocket could emulate games and play game gear, along with a brightly lit back lit display

I dunno, I kinda hate having to reach near the bottom middle of a controller to access the D-Pad. The N64 controller's three handle design was meant to give games the choice to use either the D-Pad or analogue stick, in case the analogue stick didn't catch on back then, as it was kinda a new thing. Back then N64 games didn't use both so it wasn't that awkward. You younger folk just didn't understand how to hold it properly with your hand between the first two handles for most N64 games.
@@beauwalker9820 I'm definitely not a younger folk and I prefer this controller. Only remember playing one N64 game (Mischief Makers) where I used the D-pad, so needing to reach down there to use it isn't a problem. And while the N64 controller wasn't as bad as some people say, I do prefer using the controllers of today so this is an upgrade to me.
I'm not really sure exactly how the laws work, but this might be legal. If they aren't using any of their patented tech or branding, then it might be fine. It's designed to play Nintendo games, but it's not violating any of their copyrights and (maybe) isn't violating their patents. But I don't know for sure. There have always been tons of third party controllers available for each console out there and they don't seem to have any problems not getting sued.
4:30 you sounded so funny saying that and that’s accurate to all ATC Haters and other Haters of channels Also Congrats on 100K Subs and hopefully you’ll get to 150-200K
1:39 so this isn’t like the hyperkin retron systems where they would emulate the game you’re playing but for some reason still require the cartridge to be in the slot? Just play the game directly?
Honestly this just feels like a niche thing to appeal to nostalgic people. You can literally get an emulation console for less than that that can play N64 AND gamecube games, and portably. Even better is a steam deck that can emulate up to the switch and ps3 while also being able to play steam games and also can be docked for only 150 more.
That's part of the reason my brother is trying to get me to get a Steamdeck. Besides being able to play games faster & easier, emulation on the deck seems easier to set up compared to on your PC.
Is there any legal precedence sounding this kind of move? I've been under the impression that emulators and this kind of hardware are legal, and that pirating and certain types of molding (it can't become a whole new game) are what gets things like this in trouble.
@@user-John1actually, there have been many cartridge playing systems they haven't shut down. People online exaggerate how C&D triggerhappy Nintendo is sometimes, considering there's still millions of fangames online and such.

I'm probably not going to buy it, but it's 250 dollars to make all your old games HD. It's like buying an HD remake of every N64 game you own simultaneously.
@@xTheUnforgettablex N64 games save to the cartridges, not to the console. And this game plays the original cartridges so saving shouldn't be a problem. A handful of games required memory paks though which was inserted into the controller. The photos in this video never showed the underside of the controller, but if it still has a slot like the original did, the memory cards should work. That would also allow us to insert transfer paks to hook our Gameboy Pokemon games up to Pokemon Stadium as well. But if the slot isn't there, then some games, like Star Fox 64, won't be able to save.
@@darrenmacqueen9884 we still havent seen screenshots of what it looks like in game. n64 is notoriously bad. I have $150 hdmi thing for my n64 and it looks horrible no what i do.
