I took solice in 50s with The Nelsons and its carried thru to todays difficult times I so wish they were all alive so icould tell them how comforting watching them grow has helped so many people . Do you suppose they knew?
Another one of my favorites, airing-originally back-when westerns were all-the-rage on TV, comprising the majority of time-slots among all-3 networks then in-existence. This particular-episode's especially-cute & clever in its frequent-use of stock-phrases & words from western-films. Perhaps the only one missed was, "smile when you say that". Also enjoyable seeing grown-adults getting caught-up in the fun & spirit of kiddie-westerns. I'm glad "Top Gun" didn't end-up on Boot Hill!
Gordon Jones (Butch) played Britt Reid/The Green Hornet in one of the movie serials. Ben Johnson was a terrific actor and real life cowboy. He won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for The Last Picture Show. John Ducette was another wonderful character actor with a Shakespearean theater background and appeared in quite a number of western films and television shows.
I recognized Stanley Livingston among the kids. He would go on to play Chip Douglas in My Three Sons. Another boy looked like he could have been Christopher Knight, who played Peter Brady in The Brady Bunch.
Not living near Hollywood; all the supermarket grand-openings that I attended back then, the biggest 'draw' was free cotton candy or candy apples. We just needed to hand-over the store's cash register receipt to get one.
I have been looking for an episode that Clara buys a dress shop and .Harriet goes in with her . Such a cute show . Hope you can find it . Love this show with Ozzie trying to win drawing his gun ;-))

OMG! I actually, like, totally enjoyed this episode. It was fun, inspiring and full of poignant moments.

I’d love to see that episode! Must have been a later episode. I think I’ve seen all that is currently available.🤔
The younger brother sure got taller than the older brother
Why all the oil on the heads of Rickey and David?
In those days, hair tonic was widely used to keep those high pompadour hairstyles in place. Most of them were greasy.
