Q1. The manual informs us that the ultrasound machines
A. are used to give images of structures with the body.
B. have a printer attached for recording images.
C. Poses negligible danger to the human body
Ultrasound Machines (descriptive type)
Diagnostic ultrasound machines are used to give images of structures within the body. The diagnostic machine probes, which produce the ultrasound, come in a variety of sizes and styles, each type being produced for a particular special use. Some require a large trolley for all the parts of the unit, while the smallest come in a small box with only a audio loudspeaker as output. They may be found in cardiology,
maternity, outpatients and radiology departments and will often have a printer attached or recording images. Unlike X-rays,ultrasound poses no danger to the human body
Answer is B
Elimination method
Scale = negligible danger (a few)
In option C mentioned poses negligible danger but in the text poses no negligible danger
In option A with the body but in text within the body
Q2. The guidelines establish that the healthcare professional should
A. must ensure proper safety protocols.
B. evaluate the radiation absorbed by bones and tissues.
C. respect the wishes of the patient above all else.
X-Ray Machines
X-rays are high energy electromagnetic waves. The transformer produces a high voltage that directs electrons onto a target in the machine head. X- rays are produced by the target and are directed into beams by a collimator towards the human body. Soft body tissue absorbs less X-rays, i.e., passes more of the radiation, whereas bone and other solids prevent most of the X-rays from going through. Users must ensure proper radiation safety protocols and supervision are in place.
Answer A
Nature of the text = description type (this type text will not give evalution or wishes of the patient)
Model verb
Must
Synonymous
Users = health care professional

Biomedical waste
Biomedical waste is all waste tissue and body fluids, including clinical items contaminated with these. It is covered under the rules framed by the Central Pollution Control Board. Hospital management must take steps to segregate, manage and safely dispose of this waste. Equipment users must be aware of the systems that exist for this and follow local procedures. Q4. The manual informs us that the intensive care units
A. are cleaned thrice a day
B. are wet cleaned more frequently= (not ICU)
C. frequency of cleaning corresponds to nature of operation=(not ICU)
Hygienic requirements for cleaning
All healthcare and social care facilities are wet cleaned daily and even more frequently if necessary. According to the nature of the operation, the floor must be suitable for this method of cleaning. In operating theatres using invasive procedures, cleaning is carried out both pre and post surgery for each patient. Intensive care units and the rooms for collecting biological material are cleaned three times a day. The frequency of cleaning in other workplaces corresponds to the nature of the operation. In the event of
cleaning by a subject other than the healthcare or social care facility provider, the designated worker must proceed according to the contract and the disinfecting or cleaning rules.
Answer is A
Key word = intensive care units
Model verb
Must
Paraphrasing

Q5. The notice is giving information about
A. cleaning process before disinfection process
B. cleaning process before decontamination process
C. cleaning process after disinfection process
Decontamination
Decontamination procedures include mechanical cleaning, which removes impurities and reduces the presence of microorganisms. In the event of contamination by biological material, it is necessary to include mechanical cleaning before the disinfection process. Detergents with a disinfectant effect are applied manually or by washing and cleaningmachines, pressure guns, ultrasonic devices, etc. All tools and equipment must be kept clean. Cleaning machines and other equipment are used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, including checks of the cleaning process.

My learning experience
Task 9 B
Firstly, Thank you father for your knowledge and heart to educate us, it's great blessing and opportunities to learn and with expertise.
Everytime I watch video, there is something new to learn.God bless you abundantly.
What new i learnt in this video
1. Type of paragraph structure
A.Deductive (specific to general)
Ans. Ans will be in last para.
B. Inductive (General to specific)
Ans. It can be at end or main idea.
2. Chronological sequence, even this can help find the ans.
e.g before
↓
After
3.In descriptive text, evaluation will not be included.
4.If two options are opposite, one of that will be answer.
5. If questions speaks *About* which help us to find, is it plural or noun.
About may refer
1. it
2.they
4. He/she
5. By name it self
Q.1
In option A)are used to give image of structures with the body but in the paragraph written within the body.So Option A wrong.
Option B) correct. In para written often have a printer attached for recording images.
Option C)Wrong because in para written poses no danger to human body but in option written negligible danger.
This is descriptive type of text.
Here scales used no danger & negligable danger.
Q.2
The guidelines establish that the health care professionals should
option A) must ensure proper safety protocols. This is correct.
In paragraph written users must ensure proper radiation safety protocol.
Option B) evaluate the radiation absorbed by bones and tissues.
But in paragraph not written health care professional should evaluate the radiation, so B is wrong.
optionC)respect the wishes of the patient above all else.
Not mentioned in paragraph so wrong.
This is also descriptive text, in that evaluation will not be included. So option B is evaluation, we can eliminate.
Synonyms
Users=health care professionals
Q.3
This is purpose based question.
Option A)inform by medical waste rules are framed by the Central pollution control board.
But in paragraph written biomedical waste is covered under the rules framed by the center pollution control board. So option A is wrong.
Option B) inform users must beware of the systems that exist and follow local procedures but in paragraph written equipment users must be aware of the systems that exist for this and follow local procedures. So option B wrong.
Option C) Inform users must keep biomedical waste separate from other waste.
Conclusion written most importantly, users must keep biomedical waste separate from other waste. So this is the main purpose of this email. So option C) is correct.
Most importantly scale used in this paragraph.
Q.4
The manual informs us that in the intensive care units
Here keyword is intensive care unit.
Option A)are cleaned thrice a day.
In paragraph written are cleaned three times a day. So option A is correct.
option B) are wet cleaned more frequently.
In paragraph written wet cleaning but not in the Intensive care unit,in other social care facilities only.
optionC) frequency of cleaning corresponds to nature of operation.
This also not in intensive care unit, in other workplace only, so wrong.
Q.5
The notice is giving information about
option A )cleaning process before disinfection process
In paragraph also written it is necessary to include mechanical cleaning before the disinfection process. So option A is correct.
option B) cleaning process before decontamination process.
Not mentioned in paragraph, so we can eliminate.
Option C) Cleaning process after disinfection process.
Just opposte of option A,so we can eliminate
Here Chronological word is used before and after.
Q.6
What must all staff involved in the physical disinfection process do?
Keyword is physical disinfection
Option A) Boil under atmospheric pressure for at least 20 minutes
In paragraph written boiling in pressurized containers for at least 20 minutes not under atmospheric pressure, so wrong.
Option B) Boil under atmospheric pressure for at least 30 minutes
In paragraph also same written so this option is correct.
Option C)Boil in pressurized containers for at least 30 minutes.
In paragraph written 20 minutes, so option C is wrong.
