Beautiful video & walk, Henry! I agree, the benefits of exercising 20 some minutes a day gives such great health benefits! I am witness to it! I dropped 20lbs and no longer on medication! I wasnt that big to begin with, but my body got use to my sedate-type Eastern lifestyle. When I lived in Montana, I was more active (hunting, fishing, hiking), yet I didn't intentionally exercise. The mountains are called the Absaroka Range. (Ab-SAHR-uh-kuh). It's mostly wilderness area which means not machines or bikes are allowed in but hikers, climbers, skiers, and horseback riders are welcome. People do indeed climb in them. My teenage son being one. It's a wild and majestic region. If you'd like another view of a hike into them, look up Stillwater on the website. It's a trail that goes in from the north side. All the best. -H
Hi Terry, yes. The hike is at about 4600ft elevation. The Absarokas reach up to 10k-11K in elevation. The atmospheric pressure varies with weather but it's a bit thin and dry up here. Lots of wildlife call those mountains home. In addition to Grizzly and Black bears, you may find: Moose, Elk, white tail deer, mule deer, badgers, porcupines, martins, fishers, raccoons, skunks, beaver, red squirrels, coyotes, possibly wolves, foxes, mountain lions, bobcats, possibly lynx, eagles, ravens, magpies, crows, pileated woodpeckers, gray jays, clark's nutcrackers, stellar's jays, an assortment of other small birds, etc. Hope that helps.
