The tornado sirens in town were tested this morning... whenever this monthly test happens, the kittens get VERY on edge. Rosie was sitting up on her hind legs looking out the window (groundhog vibes) and Biscuits started slinking around, making a super low & growly noise. That was our morning drama :D

Thank you for the inspiration for my Easter makeup!! I got a lilac colored dress from Old Navy and couldn't decide how bold or soft I wanted to do my makeup but even from the thumbnail for this video I knew that was exactly the look I wanted!!
Oh my the weather here was awful just north of Pittsburgh. We actually just got power back today. It uprooted trees all over town! I took the slide and put the sandbox underneath it. The slide part actually came off and the wind took the top of the sandbox and some toys out. I had to go out in the middle of it to grab everything. My son was panicking bc he thought we were going to get a tornado. You'd think we did but it was just crazy storms and wind. Glad you guys stayed safe! 💜

Loving the springy lavender tones. I like that these have a little pink to them because purple with very prominent blue tones never looks good on me. RE: Your gratitude quote... I used to do stuffed potatoes for sleepovers for the kids - I would bake potatoes and then have all sorts of toppings for the kids to make their own...

Love the lavender eye💙💜 I've been crazy for periwinkle this spring!! A lot of people I've seen will get a metal shelf or shelves of some sort and put up in the garage. Maybe if you have a two car garage but only park one car in there. I don't know, just an idea.
Roasted brussel sprouts are yummy, the little leaves that come off the sprout get caramelized and crispy!

Also, extra Sam's club items will go to various closets depending on what it is. Some things live in the garage if they're not perishable. We don't have a pantry room either. It's a cabinet with shelves that pull out. So space is definitely limited. I'll restock that with as much as possible, then wander around closets for a nook to hide away the rest.
Watching you put on makeup brings me great joy. And when you put on blush. Extra joy.
When I needed to bulk shop, I designated a closet as overflow space. Wal-Mart has a root vegetable mix in frozen.....yum. i add garlic, a bit of red chili flakes and whatever catches my eye. A taco potato sounds really good. . Thank you for letting us know you have some oopses too. I enjoy watching a real person. You look very lovely.

I was so excited for this video! Lavender is my favorite shade of purple, and purple is one of my favorite colors (along with red). Fabulous look!! I also love lavender with a cool brown. Reminds me of an ice cream cone somehow, lol.

My gosh girl - you just keep getting better at this! Of course, I tuned in for the makeup look and your smooth as silk delivery of wonderfully descriptive terms. But I'm now thinking of how much I want some roasted veggies for dinner! My favorite combo is carrots, parsnips, beets, fennel, shallots and sweet potato chunks. I use golden or Chioggia "bull's eye" beets; they don't stain when you peel and cut them and they taste milder than the standard red ones. Toss everything with olive oil, shake on some garlic salt, dried thyme and marjoram, add a couple grinds of black pepper, and roast at 400 F. for 20-30 mins., flip them around on the baking sheet, cover with foil and roast for another 15 mins. (Longer roasting time cuz they're denser veggies). I like to brush them with a light balsamic glaze and serve with simple Old Bay roasted chicken leg quarters. Seems like Fall cooking, but the root veggies are fine in the Spring too! I always have to make a double batch of the veggies though - leftovers are an event at my house! Never thought I'd end up hungry after one of your excellent makeup videos! Thank you!

Ok so I'm sure you have had it but my favorite is roasted Brussels sprouts fresh cut long way and garlic salt pepper garlic with a drizzle of olive oil I roast until the leaves are crispy. So good. Girl the food is a hot topic and I'm starving! Lol the make up is beautiful. Not sure about the it concealer tho...hmmm

I've been into roasted vegetables lately too. I go for Brussel sprouts, sweet potato and red pepper. toss in avocado oil and season with Jane's Crazy Mixed up Salt. so good
Sams/costco boxes - I have a shelf in basement closet. That my "backstock" goes. I pull from there weekly to refill our upstairs kitchen pantry basket. I also pull from there when the kids were younger for soccer or our team treat turn. We make sack lunches for a community homeless program one weekend a month. Because we make 50-75 at a time, a PBJ sandwich, 1 sweet, and 1 salty snack in each. Sometimes a little extra holiday treat. Halloween Christmas, Easter candy type item. Once made we box them and drop off to a delivery team at a nearby community ministry. The kids helped us w this for years. Sams/costco helps me cover that.
I’m such a purple fanatic💜! There’s so many purple eyeshadow palettes out there but I’ve never loved one more than the “Happy Hour Wine” palette by Glamlite. It’s SO pretty💜💜The reviews I saw weren’t great which I don’t understand - 15 shades & the mattes are rich, pigmented & smooth & the 4 or 5 shimmers are smooth & like foil. Idk🤷♀️ i love it.

I picked the palette and Violet Bloom this weekend. Love them!💜 I don't know if you have tried Violet Bloom without anything underneath, but the lavender really comes through on its own.

Bulk pantry items store well on deep wire or wooden shelves. For canned goods, keep the cardboard trays to help with stacking. Some deep wooden free standing cabinets with solid doors (such as Hemnes from Ikea) could be used to streamline them into your decor in the Bar area. I hope that helps.
I wish they would revisit the old Blooming Colors Palette. I adore that periwinkle blue!

Buy an Origami rack for storing your Sam's Club boxes. They come in different colors and sizes. They have wheels and you can take them off if you want to. They are solid. I have many of them. You can store lots of things on them. HSN has some good deals. Check them out. God Bless.

Everyone I need the Emily family’s help, I am getting my first foster son on Thursday , 3 years old. This will be our first time parenting ever. hHelp!
Try and have patience, parenting is hard, but it has some very amazing and rewarding moments that are priceless! Always try to show love and be understanding, make sure you're doing this for the right reasons, so many do it for the wrong ones and give actual loving and caring foster families a bad name, especially here in SC, please don't take offense, because I'm not saying that's you and your family. I wish you the most love and luck with your new journey, parenting doesn't have a manual, just do what comes natural, show that little angel all the love, attention, and make him feel safe, and I promise you the rewards will be great❤❤❤!
@Jennifer Eaves thank you. I know that Foster parents are dealing with the insanity and horror of the BROKEN system. We are going to try here in Chicago to do the work and stay true to the goodness in the world. It's about the kids and what's right for them and helping them develop into strong , authentic, loving and kind humans.
Just remember, kids try to make you feel what they are feeling. Also, kids don't start off knowing anything. Give them grace to learn from failure. First Attempt In Learning. You are the teacher.
@@AngelaFoshee you're welcome love❤, you're gonna be an AMAZING parent, the world needs more like you! What you said needs to happen everywhere, especially here, poor kids are put through hell! Just recently a 6yro was overdosed on benadryl, that baby was given enough benadryl to kill a grown man, because he was "too hyper". Sadly stuff like that happens so much, and shouldn't, it's like every other day we're hearing horror stories about foster children being abused or worse, the ones that actually survive have to deal with the trauma of it all, it's like they're taken from a bad situation and put into a worse one sometimes. I know people who are trying to adopt children are put through it, but here it seems like they'll just let anyone be a foster parent, idk the process that they have to go through, but it's obviously not strict enough if children are being abused, it breaks my heart.
