It's Week #2 of Patreon Request Month 2021, and the randomizer's going all the way back to 1993 to pick Nolan Deming's request for one of the most iconic, beloved episodes ever of the deathless primetime animated series that helpfully gave every millennial a kajillion funny quotes to recite and meme at each other to save us the painful embarrassment of trying to learn social skills. Join Tony Goldmark, Yogi Deva-Das, Erika Haynes and Garrett Snook as they put onions on their belts (which was the style at the time) with THE SIMPSONS, season four, episode seventeen, "Last Exit To Springfield!"
The Walt Disney Company has created (and acquired) some of the greatest, most acclaimed works of art in the history of cinema and television, and also unfathomable amounts of absolute garbage. And Disney+ is loaded with both! Join RUclips personality Tony Goldmark, aka Some Jerk With A Camera, and a rotating series of guests as each week they pick a Disney+ title completely at random, dissect it for your amusement, and determine it to be "Disney Plus" or "Disney Minus." It's ESCAPE FROM VAULT DISNEY!

DISCLAIMER: This video, like every video on this channel, is intended only for mature audiences. While the topic at hand is a form of media commonly associated with small children, the purpose of this video is to present a mixture of analysis and comedy about said media from a distinctly adult perspective, which may possibly include profane language and references to sex, drugs and/or violence. RUclips, like many websites, collects personal data on its users. The Child Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) has made it illegal to collect personal data on children younger than 13, and rather than fix their own algorithm, RUclips is essentially threatening to pass the blame onto content creators whose work may seem "attractive" to children. For these reasons, the producers of this video feel compelled to state, in no uncertain terms, that if you allow a child under 13 years old to watch this RUclips channel, you are a bad parent or guardian.
The Spider-Man No Way Home trailer is breaking the internet.

Yogi's impressions of Simpsons characters are delightful
13:32 - I remember watching Lord of the Rings for the first time on DVD and, I kid you not, I managed to pause the movie on the exact frame from the "one does not simply" meme. How great is that?
Tony Goldmark: releases a new video
Me: It's been 84 years.
Wanna try for an even 90?
Can you still smell the fresh paint?
Don't be so entitled.
Honestly what am I most favorite episodes of The Simpsons Modern Age is Comic Book Guy and his wife Kumiko and meeting his family and also giving piss backstory with his estranged family but also give him more character development for him and his wife
Love that Curly move and i do miss classic simpsons!
It is astounding just how stuffed w/ gags these 23 minutes are. Just as impressive was their ability to take an everyday topic (ex - early-'90s union strike) and take it in the most absurd direction possible. And despite the episode's attention moving around more than a kid on a candy rush, it stays focused on the story at hand (which to be fair is only there as a vehicle to deliver jokes). This took the ball from Season 3's "Homer at the Bat" and ran a home run w/ it.
I have a tough time ranking things like this (forget about a definitive #1), but this episode is definitely in that esteemed company. Not bad for writers who were basically on their way out.
Hot Take:
The best episodes of EFVD are the ones where Tony and his guests are gushing over the subject of the episode.
Agreed.
They’re definitely one of the best aspects.
They look at all sides of media and point out what works and what doesn’t work with them.
The Show never completely lost its touch.
Apparently a lot of people would probably disagree with that from what I gather but that’s just from other RUclipsrs talking about it.
One RUclipsr in particular I think it was Mr enter, said something along the lines of if you don’t make your characters age/change over time the show eventually ends up becoming like a zombie version of itself and you end up recycling plots/ stories from the past.
(I apologise Jonathan if I’m missed quoting you but I seem to remember you saying something along those lines in one of your Reviews.)
And I thought I was the only other one who loved hired goons.
"Hired goons?"
45:09 hath slain me 🤣
How infinitely quotable is this episode?
1) When FXX started running ads for its "Every Simpsons Ever" marathon, three of the four quotes that appeared in the "abandoned streets" ad were from this single episode.
2) Tony and friends basically spent much of the review just repeating their favorite lines, and not only were they all memorable, that list didn't even include my favorite line to quote from the episode! (There have been no fewer than three times in my life where I was present for an unanimous "aye" vote and took the opportunity to fill the silence with a quiet silly-voiced "nay".)
So you're who kept saying that

No, it was him.
Happy 50th anniversary to Disney world
yeah a silly little cartoon that Matt pulled out of his butt because he had cold feet about pitching life in hell will outlive us all (seriously he was interviewed for a Nat Geo show called the 80's the decade that made us and he explained everything in detail because the Simpsons had a slot on there even though it should have been in the 90s doc....god I hope that docuseries is on Disney+ because well....at least it's fun to watch)
I'm hoping that Muppet Haunted Mansion uploads here soon. That was one of my favorites. Made me think about how I treat content creators when people treat them like shit and demand more.
Maybe next October.
Your mom was friends with Matt graning that must feel amazing as a Simpsons fan
I've been to his house a couple times.
Holy shit your living every major Simpsons fan dream
@@rgjarrell It was fun. He's a nice guy.
I wonder how he feels about his show now that it's like this it must feel sad for him
@@rgjarrell Oh, I doubt he minds too much, especially with all the money he's making.
Great video.
For the first time, I went and watched the feature before continuing the episode. I had no idea so many of the memes were in this episode! A lot of the clips I've seen on RUclips recently were from this episode.
It feels like how, back in the day, when I would watch reruns of some shows, it seemed I always wound up seeing the same few episodes. It's a nice bit of nostalgia, even though I wasn't actually familiar with the episode.
(I was, indeed, one of those kids not allowed to watch the Simpsons when I grew up. It seems so quaint today, that somehow Bart would be a bad influence, when he honestly doesn't even seem to be the main character a lot of the time: that's Homer.)
Hi guys im a Simpson fan too
I have a question: is it fair to assume that, if you put up the episode here on RUclips, that you are somewhat proud of the episode and/or think it was a good one?
I honestly wish the regular podcast had face images. It makes it easier on me to keep separate the revolving cast. I can handle imagining faces for regulars, but it's harder when they change out. And I imagine the faces to keep people straight, especially when their voices are similar.
I'm very glad you have a unique voice.
Hmmm...maybe. I'll think about it.
Does Disney+ have the Simpson's commentary tracks?
Unfortunately no
Awesome, I love this episode!
It's hard to believe this show has been on as long as I've been alive... I admit the show is not quite as good as it used to be, but the later seasons still has some good episodes.
(Examples include "Eternal Moonshine of the Simpsons Mind", " Brick Like Me" and "Holidays of Future Passed".
I'm curious to know what your top ten Simpsons episodes are if possible.
Figuring out a top ten list would take way more time than I currently have.
@@TonyGoldmark Fair enough.
Jerk, which Disney park do you think would the Simpsons fit the best? Best fit for me is at Storybook Circus in Magic Kingdom where Disney would most likely just remake the Simpsons Ride
Of the currently-existing Disney parks? Definitely DCA in Anaheim, DHS in Florida.
Hey, Tony, How dose one get to be a guest combinator for your podcast, I'd LOVE to be on.
It's all who you know.
Disney+ pretends that the Michael Jackson episode doesn't exist!
I know, and it sucks. Luckily we've still got the season three DVD set.
What is their issue with that one?
@@sabrinamiller3671 Michael Jackson's in it, that's what.
@@TonyGoldmark Seriously?? FFS, there's no proof he ever did what they accused him of!
@@sabrinamiller3671 Eh, people are allowed to draw their own conclusions. Still sucks that the episode's gone, especially when they still have episodes with Mel Gibson and John Kricfalusi.

Not to be the guy who pulls out the “well, actually” card, but people like me who were born in 2000 aren’t a part of Gen Z, per se. We’re in an awkward gap between Millennial and Gen Z, meaning that even if we hardly remember 9/11, we at least lived through that day and its aftermath.
Just thought I would make that quick correction as you stated a Gen Z-related comment in last week’s podcast episode (or sometime before then). I take no personal offense.
Boy, I really hope someone got fired for that blunder!"
Que creen C DURA Doh.
Oh thats cute...you think we'll have children...

I don't dislike this episode, but it's not all that funny and it's kind of boring. It's fine, but not anywhere near the pedestal it's been placed on.
Fair enough.
