Dude. How long would it take to make a vid 15 mins or an hour long? Even without a coherent plot, the visuals are more interesting than anything Hollywood is churning out. Or even interweave several 2 minute shorts, maybe starting with a steampunk boy’s life, then a girl, then a school, then a job like a clockwork tinker, etc. Endless hours of watching just around the corner. Can’t wait for horror steampunk stuff too

Great work, once A.I can get eyes, eye contact, and hand movements right every time, videos longer than 10 seconds and options to archive continuity of the characters looks, the places, cloth design etc, we can do our own movies. Just like it happened with the accessibility to make music at home, a lot of it will be bad, but some will be great; people with great ideas will be able to create great content and tell amazing stories in way that weren't at their reach before. Imagine asking ChatGTP or similar A.I to finally write the script for a Thudercats movie in the style of the Batman trilogy of Christopher Nolan, and then have produce it!

minor visual fidelity issues aside, if only AI is able to make the characters speak at the same time with audio with moderate credibility the first real productions can take place which is a very profound threshold. of course it will need character persistence. some object/scene persistence too. a good test might be to recreate an existing movie, shot for shot.
this is sick. in the past you would need a budget of millions a huge team for scenes like this... and now with just a couple lines of instruction the AI can makebeautiful scenes like those. and the face animation are waay better then anything you could do with current game engines

This is why Hollywood is panicking over AI. More than that the production values and creativity shown in this short is beyond what current Hollywood is capable of because they’ve hamstrung themselves with socio-political messaging instead of pure entertainment. Old Hollywood’s dying, the new frontier of entertainment are pieces like this one being crafted by individuals who aren’t part of the current Hollywood machine, using technology not envisioned even a decade ago.

Yeah and "hollywood" has been using less advanced AI to do CGIs for years already. New Ai techs will surely enhance production but it will also transform the industry imo

This looks like an excellent stopping point for AI. It's fun, looks cool, has its own flavor, adds to human creativity projects, but doesn't replace them. Oh my gosh where are we on that S curve? The future is kind of scary.
