Hearing people talk about "mutual care" is so refreshing, and an antidote to the vitriol and antagonism that seems so acceptable in our politics today. We need to get to know our neighbors, approach each other with curiosity and care. I'm glad there are people like Adrienne and Bartunde talking about creating a better future for ourselves.
In the early days of my journey to becoming a social worker, my professor had us watch Barnard College videos about transformative Justice. This woman has since changed my thinking and my life. The power in her words to transform frustration into hope and love is unlike anything I’ve felt before. I hope to meet her one day, or at least see her speak.
We need foundational ethics or philosophy in our political systems. Have the agreement to serve, protect and propel ALL LIFE. We have failed in not having any foundation or ethical agreements in our political and economical systems, that is why everything is allowed, even the destruction of our ecosystems the exploitation and slavery of the workers in the capitalist system. Our actual systems promotes and incites death at every level. We need to initially agree that we must think, feel and act serving life.
Democracy is very good in a society of homogeneous being. But in societies where fools are the majority, be my guest as democracy kills it's people. I can give you examples if needed
I would consider it low resolution thinking, a type of intellectualism based upon hurt feelings rather than reason and reality. She speaks abstractly in a way that does not come off as intelligent, but delusional or utopian. The other speakers four pillars of citizenship were on point though. You could tell he was being accommodating to accept her shifting the conversation to irrelevant concepts. But he did so to respect her ideas. She shifted the conversation from what is the ideal form of citizenship, to how we should structure all of an ever changing society. And she seems like one of the last people on earth that should be bouncing ideas around on that existential topic. The second she referenced nations not being necessary, she loses all credibility. And it just got worse from there. Be very careful who you learn from on the internet.
@@rustinpeacemaster "Woke people" is hilarious because it literally means "not sheeple", but guess who complains about woke people in one comment and says "wake up, sheeple" in the next?
This sounds like a joke with how basic and constantly repeated mindlessly this exact sentence has been spotted but here we are. A democrat without “woke” should be fine. You guys can’t even define “woke” I’m crying 😂
Yeah my dudes, vote for the guy who's early moves were to defund life-saving healthcare for mothers, (resulting in deaths and suffering children) and left the vast majority of expert roles required to help people *empty!* Vote with your _heart,_ not your _brain!_ Ears and eyes are the worst! :D PS: yes everyone knows Biden sucks too. Imagine if people embraced this way of life. People are disheartened and refuse to acknowledge our power. Imagine if we led with love for everyone, even those that seem unlovable.
Yes, democratic, as in a democracy. So *democracy is accurate; unless you've given a very specific definition to the word, and/or you've decided there's only one way to have a democracy and the US doesn't count. I get that the US gerrymanders, which isn't democratic and is technically illegal in your country, (Republican drawn maps led to over numerous lawsuits in recent years, over 80 in 2020, an extremely corrupt party by first-world standards) but there are people trying to give everyone an equal say.
God loves you and cares for you so that this message reaches you. God is the one who created this large universe and controls it completely. The greatest loss a person loses in this life is that he lives without knowing God who created him and knowing the Messenger of Muhammad, the last of the messengers, and the Islamic religion, the last of the heavenly religions. Great intelligence, before you believe in something or not, is to read it, study it, and understand it well, and after that you have the choice to believe in it or not to believe in it. I advise you to do this now, before you no longer have time to do so. Life is very short. It is just a test, just a passage to eternal life. Great advice to those who... Understands

I definitely agree that I’d like for it to be safer and less tension among strangers. curiosity and empathy
This is beautiful and powerful. Thank you!

Why woke people tend to have the urgency to pinpoint someone’s appearance in a situation where nobody should care

Woke means we respect others' rights and want to expand them.
