Love how smooth it hooks on the back end.

This review is spot on! Picked one up a couple weeks ago and the comment about having trouble moving from its sweet spot is so true! Great content as always Ben!

Grabbed this piece around xmas, and it has been my favorite ball since. You said it best yourself, “a rev dominant bowlers dream solid sym”

Thanks for taking the time with this one Ben! If you already have a Forge Ember, do you think this one is worth getting? They seem pretty similar, maybe the Raptor being just a bit more cover?

I know numbers wise these two look very similar, but I think the Raptor is significantly better than the Forge Ember. It's core and cover combination matches up way better and the continuation through pins is superior as well. I think if you liked the forge, you'll love this one, and I could totally see carrying both.

I don't understand why you emphasize this ball for rev-dom and not speed-dom players. It's Motiv's highest hooking ball. Shouldn't speed dominant players be choosing the highest hooking ball they can get, to compensate for their rev rate? At least for their first ball out the bag. Also your comment about Motiv's top ball outhooking 900's medium ball, was that in response to a general perception that Motiv has weaker covers? I think I'm also noticing that but it doesn't seem to be the general consensus.

I'm planning on getting the Crimson Jackal, what kind of 2LS layout do you think would go good with that ball.. looking for it to snap hard in the backend, on heavy oil.. I love to start left (feet on 30-32) throw it right and slow hook it.. Would greatly appreciate the advise.. This would be my 1st Motiv ball, so I'm kinda lost on how to drill it

Ask me again once we have the review posted! I just drilled mine, so I can't say for sure yet, but I'll know soon!

@bowlersparadise2255 I'm on the fence about those two. But I always wait for your reviews first, since I'm also a no thumb one hander.

FWIW I’d bet a lot that I’d love the zig zag and not like the hitter
