- We are thrilled to present a series of guitar tutorials for the music of Jethro Tull, by Paul Forrest! Here, Paul presents the second part of Thick as a Brick where the focus will be on the main verses and chorus. Enjoy!
Thank you Paul. You are fantastic. The very best.
Thank you Paul. Very helpful and informative as usual.
wonderful: There's something magical about Ian Anderson's guitar playing. The artistic use of this instrument is unique. That's why I enjoy every moment of this video.
I absolutely agree. That's why it's important to get it right. the Tull is in the details!
Love the tutorials and enjoyed the acoustic performance the other day. Any chance you could do a Tull tutorial for mandolin?
Thanks so much for your feedback, Dan! We'll see what we can do! 🙂
Thanks Dans. Sure, in the future I will be doing lots more of these, stay tuned.
Thank God for reruns. I use a Luna Phoenix with a slightly smaller neck. Your walking us thru is a huge help. Thanks Paul
It's not a rerun. It's a borrowed, original and unpaid for instrument. 😁😁
Great stuff! Any chance of Tull flute tutorials? That would be amazing!
Hey Adam, let us know which songs/passages you'd be interested in learning, and I'll see what I can do!
Hi Marcie. Thanks for replying. I have a long list of Tull songs I’d love to learn the flute parts for. :)
I’ll just pull these out of the list…
With You There to Help Me
Rover
Jack in the Green
…And the Mouse Police Never Sleeps
Various parts of Thick As A Brick, especially Childhood Heroes, and Believe in the Day.
I learned the flute because I have been a Tull fan nearly all my life. Then I discovered there is very little sheet music for the flute parts. Do you learn them by ear? If so, that’s incredible!
@@AdamJ.Wright thanks for your comment. Sorry I didn't write back sooner. Yes, I learned all of these flute parts by ear.
Please, wenn möglich mit Tabulaturen, please.arangiert sehr gut.
@@juliusfugenstein2851 thanks for your comment, Julius. Since Paul learned these songs completely by ear, there are no tablatures available.
