    Topics discussed:
    1) Purpose of the subnet mask.
    2) The Slash Notation of the subnet mask.
    3) Number of networks and hosts per network in classes A, B, and C of IPv4 address.
    4) Identification of devices/nodes whether they are in the same network or a different network using the subnet mask.

    Duplicate Username.
    The username already exists in this or another Salesforce organization. Usernames must be unique across all Salesforce organizations. To resolve, use a different username (it doesn't need to match the user's email address).

    Without subnet mask, we just by looking class or first octet, could identify network and host portion... Isn't it ? We know if first octet belong to class A, then Class A has 1 network portion and 3 host portion.

    There is a mistake in number of possible networks in class C: Correct possible amount of networks in class C is 2,097,152.

    From wikipedia: Classless Inter-Domain Routing (CIDR /ˈsaɪdər, ˈsɪ-/) is a method for allocating IP addresses and for IP routing. The Internet Engineering Task Force introduced CIDR in 1993 to replace the previous classful network addressing architecture on the Internet. Its goal was to slow the growth of routing tables on routers across the Internet, and to help slow the rapid exhaustion of IPv4 addresses.[1][2]

    I have one doubt that 255.255.255.0 etc in dubnet is default na means it is notjing particular but only a exepted convention to select network in ip but if it so then what is need of sending it as by class it is already known maybe it is not really send t is only for understanding can anyone clear this

    • @Googlinghelpers
      @Googlinghelpers 5 месяцев назад +1

      Understood that why there is need to send subnet see when in internet all the people are using net can default subnet masking is used but let's suppose in an organisation that are using limited IP's they can change the subnet default in order to define thei less IPS into different networks so I think now it is crystal clear that why default mask is 255 in case of Internet and it can be changed in the case of organisation for specific requirements
