@ItzMeZacc most people who have been playing/grinding for a while have probably got the meta mons you speak of and even with the start of season move buffs and pokemon receiving new moves they could easily build them..no point hoarding crazy amounts of dust...build what you want and enjoy them..plus what a flex it is !
@@stehorn6258 I get a ton of enjoyment from building spice picks. I like to battle my friends with them, I just wish I had the stardust to make more. Collecting 'em one at a time though. ^^
1:26 - this seems to happen to me a lot. I have the energy and am tapping the charge move button but it never registers and I go down with the move loaded. Is this an overtap? I notice lately I’m “overtaping” far more often which seems to be causing my snipes and such to be complete failures, costing me win cons. It looks like this battler is hitting the charge move and the game recognizes it but it’s spamming dragon breath instead.
Yeah it used to be a thing in the glory days of gbl. It was a glitch that got patched and now I think it kinda returned. I've been experiencing it a lot lately. Hopefully niantic patches it soon Edit: DanOttawa has a great vid on overtapping, you should go check it out.
Henry, I just hit legend using the Miltank team you featured (still with Counter on Medicham though). Thank you so much for sharing - I don’t think I could have hit legend this season without it. I saw you streaming live with this team the morning of Go Battle Day and it rose me from 2650 to 2961. From there it took a couple days to finally get the positive sets needed to break 3000 elo. Thank you so so much!!!!!!!!! ❤
Yea and like Yasser said on his last video there’s just not enough stardust gain events especially with this only lvl 50 master league that’s about to start
XL Golduck is a very spicy pick in UL, but it's honestly got decent stats. Water-Psychic isn't the worst typing either. It's just got a kinda shitty, but seriously BIG, move pool and that's the biggest problem as well as strength. It's very versatile. Opponent will not be able to guess what moves you are running even if they know Golduck's moves, so there's lot of bait potential. I've got a Rank 3 Golduck but it's expensive and needs a ton of XL candies so not made it yet :-(
@@Kolkadolk In every league in every season, based on move pool and move parameter balancing, there are few mons that become "meta" - statistically significant leaders of the pack. Given similar scenarios and evenly skilled players, meta mons win a majority of the matches against the rest of the mons. Note that this is statistical analysis, so there's no bias due to typings. For example, Swampert will mostly lose to Sceptile, but statistically you're much better off with Swampert in your team instead of Sceptile, because Swampert wins against 640 of the total pokemon, but Sceptile only against 380. So that's the explanation of meta. Spice is the anti-meta; risky picks which may work wonderfully but on general you're playing against a stacked deck. It's fun to play and team build spice too, especially once a meta becomes stale - so half the teams are the same and it gets boring.
I found 0 good spiders during the event. I also built a lvl 50 spider right before they announced the event. I'm just in shingles, or whatever you kids say nowadays.
@@HomeSliceHenry That's true. It's definitely a wall or get walled pokemon that makes the game super rock paper scizory. You almost always win the entire game if you have it against Obstagoon, Scrafty, or Cobalion, but you almost always lose if it's against Charizard or Giratina.
I really hope lvl 60 never comes. Imagine needing to spend like 700-800k+ dust on a 1500-2500cp mon. Or needing like 400-500+ xl candy for legendaries and their shadow versions..

Just looking at the number itself next to the word “stardust” makes me wince. Save your dust people. SAVE. YOUR. DUST.
Save for what, exactly?
I second with the "save for what" comment. Retirement? 🤣 spend that dust.
@@SurfTheSkyline Save your dust for meta Pokemon before investing in spice picks.

Congrats!!
6:01 i'll never understand people baiting in this situation. Just fishing for a lose condition.
5:52 I'm laughing my ass off. I've done those kind of baits before and when it fails, you feel like an idiot for a while.
I caught shadow 100% grinding these XL candy will go on forever
I got mine the day after the frustration event ended 😩

100% agreed
How do people power up these expensive Pokémon so fast? Spoofing? Phone swings?
They had extra xls grinded in the past 👍
I play everyday and got no where near enough xl to make a level 50 and I’m a level 50 player lol
This thing absolutely waxes Registeel lol I love it
Seems like fast move denial is making an unintentional comeback 😆
Yeah the 1 turn bring in is causing denial which is so frustrating :/ they gotta fix it
Didn't they promise a sneak-through fix?
Nitanic should just accept bankruptcy, at this point.
Still havent even seen a shadow joltik
I just recently got my first Hundo - an xl psyduck. Is it any good when evolved? And also what moves should I put on it

I'd say spice from a usage aspect, it's ranked very highly but I've not seen it used very frequently

Galvantula is such a nice lead... Debuff the opponent and come in and farm down with Shadow Gliscor
