Three celebrities whose looks I love for different reasons: 1. Audrey Hepburn for how she incorporated her Flamboyant Gamine lines into her elegant style perfectly, even though the lines don't necessarily naturally lend themselves to that style. I think that made her all the more unique and memorable. 2. Blake Lively, because every single look she does has this fun, fresh and modern vibe without necessarily being trendy. Her look is uniquely vibrant in my opinion, she never looks the least bit dull or frumpy, and I find that that's a serious skill, especially for tall women. 3. Lisa Bonet, for that unique dreamy look that looks great with her body type and coloring, and also seems to perfectly match her personality. Honorable mention: Eva Green, when she wears certain outfits that really highlight her interesting witchy vibes.
Completely agree with the first two! Am less familiar with Lisa Bonet and Eva Green's style... I know lots may disagree with me, but also Zendaya. I don't know what witchcraft she (or her stylists lol) are doing but she makes the most outlandish looks somehow look phenomenal on her! I swear, NOBODY else can pull those off...
I agree when we follow our body type and colour seasons it just brings out our best features and emphasise our best points. I'm romantic and using this typing system has redefined my style and overall image. I feel more myself and that I'm honouring my true self.
I am a soft gamine dark autumn but I have always leaned to winter colors and dramatic clothing. I am trying really hard to accept my characteristics and go for the things that fit me but gosh is so hard to abandon the things that I used to love 😢. I found that eva green really has a captivating look, I love her appearance!
Kibbe system definitely works, I've been training my eye for over two years, constantly learning about it and typing non verified people. I too typed Sabrina as SG 100% after seeing just a few photos and seeing her video live dancing next to other dancers. Her SG is clear. I would like to hear your opinions on the other new generation of pop singers like Chapell Roan, Gracie Abrams and Billie Eilish. I would like to see if they too are dressing their type and what works and doesn't work (eg Billie Eilish glamourous Vogue June Cover 2021 didn't work at all).
Thank you so much for this video! 👏👏👏 Thank you for encouraging us all to embrace what makes us…us, as unique individuals, and to play to our strengths. I’d love if you covered Gwen Stefani. She has her own quirky style that she pulls off with aplomb and makes it look so glamorous! It’s another form of artistic expression for this inspirational, creative being.
I’d love to see someone with a sexy, alluring look that’s blended soft and warm and delicate. I’m not a man, but I really like Chris Brown's style and how well he matches colors-strictly for the fashion.
What about Nicole Kidman in Moulin Rouge? She is tall and angular, long limbs, I would say she is a dramatic or flamboyant natural. However she pulls off the looks in the movie with the contrasting colors.
What about Shalom's Snowhite inspired photoshoot? The Disney Snowhite is very much a soft gamine and my guess is this type of look was chosen for Shalom because her face is very doll like despite her tall stature. I think she pulls it off. She actually had quite a few playful, whimsical modeling jobs so I don't see her as super serious and strictly elegant at all.
Snow White is more of a kibbe romantic. Shalom’s fn bone structure look separate from the whimsical look (and I’m saying this as someone who is a fan of Shalom Harlow). Shalom needs to incorporate longer, unconstructed lines and mixed textures in order for the whimsical aesthetic to work.
I noticed that there are certain things I do that don't look cringe because I look a certain way, I have a very neutral face, so when I actually feel really tired or bored people don't understand that. But at the sime time they claim I'm angry and passive agressive again if I look pretty much unbothered and that is bothering them.
That makes so much sense how you explained it, that she’s just staying within the soft gamine archetype. I also think this is why her character is so costumey sometimes (not a bad thing, it just makes her style memorable)
Please discuss Eleanor Tomlinson. She's such a chameleon, and looks so different in everything she's in. She always looks lovely, but she's absolutely iconic in The Outlaws. I think it might be essence related. I would love to hear your thoughts on her style looks.
Erika Eleniak in Baywatch. I am a romantic type and I think that she is too-because of all of the ways her body is different and more rounded than the other actresses on the show. First time that I have felt that my body is represented. Also, one more actress that came later in the show was romantic I am sure! Her name is Jasmine Bleeth.
I love the concept of "embracing your unique power/ image" but i do have a practical question. When you are a celebrity, it is very easy to create a look/ image around whatever you like. You can accentuate your sweet n sexy look like Sabrina, or your femme fatale look like Monica, etc. But what if you are short/ petite and somewhat youthful looking, and want to "power dress" in the boardroom and look like the senior, mature executive you are, who wants to be taken seriously? I doubt dressing like Sabrina is gonna work for me! But at the same time i don't want to look like i raided my mom's closet. I am 38 now so i feel like i am FINALLY "growing into" my role (looks-wise i mean) but it was a real struggle for me 10 years ago. Even now however, i am often the youngest/ only woman in the room, in an industry dominated by men in their 50s and 60s. Any tips on how to navigate these kinds of situations??
I am no expert, but i think is a matter of knowing what products and clothes cast a particular effect for you. I am also small and youthful and found that heart necklines and a longer flowing coat make me look more mature and respectable, yes I remain youthful, but now I look more grounded by age. Wearing little makeup also gives the effect of taking work for seriously, even if the price is deleting “Beauty” a bit. Again, small tricks and adjustments according to what you want to achieve.
Merrium, I am so confused! You said that Kibbe type means specific lines with which one can do any style. Now what I got from this video is that soft dramatics can’t do cutesy look and soft gamines can’t do femme fatale… can you do a video on what styles each type can’t do??
Merriam ❤ love the elegant classical music at just the right decibel in the background. That really elevated the feeling of this video. I have been watching you for years. I would love to subscribe, but I prefer to subscribe to channels with thumbnails that are consistently neutral and elegant... which make visiting my subscription page a luxurious experience in itself. Perhaps you would consider providing that experience as well? Love you either way! Hugs and thank you for another great video!
Coincidentally, I share the exact same features as you. My coloring is delicate though. What do you wanna talk about? Are you having a hard time finding clothes in the store? Have you tried places like free people and lucky brand? They are Sn friendly stores that cater to ethereal essence. Also, I personally I’m starting my own private group chat (either discord or WhatsApp) because I am really frustrated by the lack of answers in the body typing community.
@ just trying to speed up the trial and error of finding my natural style. Something that looks effortless. I had my typing by merriam but it still requires research/ effort and more digging to nail it.
I understand. if I were you, I would get basics in your lines. I would incorporate your personality in accessories (jewelry, scarf, bag, etc). What is your personality? If you have more of a fun, extroverted personality, then ethereal essence probably does not apply to you.
@ thank you, I identify as into-extroverted. Meaning I am more quiet and to myself unless I really know you and feel comfortable. I do relate to the ethereal essence but not fully sure how to emphasis. I like your jewelry/ accessory point. I have been looking 4 pieces that give that vibe ( chunky, long/ open) light reflecting. Found some but they were gold and I’m a silver girly. The quest continues
It’s because you don’t appreciate your own beauty. I’m part of the natural family and I love it. We do so, so well with all kinds of textures. We sport the “carefree, free-spirited, adventurous” vibe beautifully and Miriam is right when she says that we look put together when wearing the most simple things. I look very elevated just by wearing some jewelry, with a bit of makeup and my nails done. Clothing, as long as it doesn’t look too “sweet” or dramatic, doesn’t even matter that much. And if you feel bored, play with colors and textures. We’re in autumn right now, indulge in raw denim, heavy knits and corduroy. It’s so very us.
@@isobel1412 I wouldn't say there are boring at all. Some pop stars that are Naturals like Britney and Shakira have memorable fun or sensual looks in the 90s and 2000s too.
As a Soft Classic i completely envy Naturals who can get away - no, actually look stunning! - with wild hair, oversized clothing and maybe a pair of shades (think the trendy celebrity airport looks). Meanwhile, me looking like a homeless person...
@@minervarose7664 funny enough, I’m a natural body type, and I’ve always envy classics for looking polished. I think everyone is beautiful, but they don’t see it until another person mentions it.

Yeah, she would be fascinating bcos she is quite a manufactured beauty in terms of colouring as well
Me too, I adore her ❤❤❤

I agree. Thr Kibbe system changed my life. No other system explains bone structure and what works for which bone structure.
Mine too😊
