It is very close though; with many species of insect (Insecta: Lepidoptera: Nepticulidae, for e.g.) there are several species (in Sweden) which share the same host plant species but use different parts of the plant (fruit, leaf) with also little phenological overlap. In the UK A'level this is barely looked at and I wasn't aware it was in the IB either. Perhaps this is 1st year undergraduate?
