I like her voice. Thought she did a good job with it. Those of you slamming her accent or how some the words sound. Have no idea how truly difficult it is to learn another language. I have been working on Japanese for past to years. We have words in English that simply is no translation Into Japanese , Or Japanese into English. That can make it very difficult to say it correctly. That's why they will speak their own language but throw in a English word or two. Simply because there is no translation for it. I can do a basic conversation in Japanese. But still have a lot of difficulty with certain words and phrases. The same word can mean two different things. All depends how you say it. For example To Too & Two, all sound the same, but has a different meaning for each. Same in other languages. All depends what you are trying to say. Knowing where and how to use it correctly is not easy by any means. By the way. L does not exist in Japanese. it's difficult to learn for them. That's why the L's end up sounding a bit like a R. I know one thing the difference with us and them. They don't slam or insult you there for trying to learn their language. The respect you for your effort and become more open and more willing to help. Simply because you made the effort to try. Here in the states, we behave shamefully to them for trying, laughing at them and making fun of them. Think about that. Before you crack jokes at their expense. I challenge those making the jokes, to try their language and see how well you do. How do I know all this, I lived in Japan for 6 years. And would go back in a second if I could afford it.

Terada Keiko does not speak English. She recently wrote in her blog that she was taking some English lessons and really finding "TH" difficult. Her ear for imitating the sounds of English without speaking English is very, very good. She can also catch the vocal nuances of the singers she is covering. She delivers a Paul MaCartney vibe in the Show-Ya cover(1) of "Black Bird", and does an amazing job with the vocal antics of Robert Plant in the cover(2) of Led Zep's "Rock and Roll". Checkout the Show-Ya cover of Deep Purple's "Burn".(3) References: 1. ruclips.net/video/c9AWtAqrLoI/видео.html 2. ruclips.net/video/JjEa3fhEkEE/видео.html 3. ruclips.net/video/ZGnCRsWcOlY/видео.html
Thank you for posting this info. I've seen the other covers and had wondered if she could speak in english. It's difficult to find interviews or personal information on japanese bands in the west.
I'm familiar with almost her entire discography with the band Show-Ya; she has a range of vocal styles. I haven't heard her quite like this. She's reaching for a "soul" voice on purpose to fit the song. She is very clever and has good ears; never heard an off note from her.
The bass is so irisistable. ... Its frickin good man.
Kiss has toured Japan so what a nice tribute to the verison Peter Criss sang.
She can sing absolutely everything

Awesome!!
great voice, i like it.
Terada Keiko's voice "goes to eleven"; this is at most 6. I have seen this before; she respects pop songs and doesn't "kill" them.

Ummm... Not the best singer... But I dig her effort and energy... Also, her "raspy" voice does fit the song well 👍🤟

Poor thing... There is no "L" sound in many Asian languages. I'm sure she's doing the best she can with it.
