Every ink will be a different variable.
I've had good experiences with Pilot Kakuno pens and various shimmer inks, but I usually only use the ink in a pen for a day or so. (For 30inks30days...)
I've had Diamine Rainbow's End in both a Pilot CH 92 (14k F) and a Kilk Orient (Steel F) for over 2 months, without clogging. I use them both for a few lines every few days.

Question: If there was one pen type or style of pen that is no longer produced that you could bring back, which would it be and why? I think for me it would be the Waterman Edson. I think every pen officianado should own a pen as perfect and beautiful as this one, or at least have the chance to gaze upon it's beauty. Thanks for doing these videos and the giveaways!

Thank you for this video! It was a great response to viewer feedback. Would you consider a video dedicated to the wide variety of nibs more manufactures are offering now? Most of us are familiar with extra fine through broad nibs, but what about journaler, oblique, scribe, architect, etc? Since you have excellent handwriting, would you consider doing a video demonstrating how these nibs look and what purpose they are best suited for?

I’ve only recently started using…..well, fell in love with….oh who am I kidding, become utterly obsessed with fountain pens! I prefer fine and extra fine nibs, but adore stub nibs! But they vary so much between brands it seems. My question would be three fold…how do the brands stub nibs compare, is there a stub that writes more fine, and lastly what is up with the Vanishing Point stub nib??? It was impossible for me to write with and wish there was an alternative for that pen!
    Thanks!!!

My question is - what are your thoughts about re-using empty ink cartridges instead of a converter? Is it basically the same thing/serves the same purpose? know some people swear by it, especially when a pen company (looking at you Pilot 👀) has converters that aren’t everyone’s favorite.
I hope I get picked. 🙏🏼 That Pink Sands color is a DREAM. I would’ve added to cart immediately if I was in the fountain pen world when it released.

Laxative was not on my 2025 Goldspot Bingo Card but new year and new you and me so I am here for it! 😂 Oh no paper recs, the fountain pen community is in a bit of a crisis with all of the changes we have seen with various paper companies?! 😱 Overall people are sticking with Cosmo and Midori but Hobonichi and Moleskin are for sure having issues. And it can be random between books and it can even be random by page? Cosmo and Midori are what I have seen people switch to but someone will see this and disagree. It is a mess. Thanks for the video! 🙏

    Congrats @julia.here! That's a gorgeous fountain pen.
A question came up in my local community about shimmer inks and whether paper affects how well the shimmer sticks to the page. I think it does, the more fibrous the page, the more likely the shimmer will remain there. Others have found the shimmer in their inks disappearing on higher quality papers like Tomoe River once it has dried.
Would love to hear your thoughts on this phenomenon. Do you think it's the binding properties of the ink that keep shimmer on a page, or is it the paper properties? (or our favourite answer...both!)

I have used Tomoe River, Clairfontaine, Fabriano and Oxford Stone Paper. I really did not like the stone paper, it was almost too smooth, the others were ok, but nothing that really stood out to me. I keep returning to my Leuchtturm1917 for consistent journal writing. I think its the size and amount of pages.. and I can write on both sides, even though I tend to use med-braod nibs that put down a lot of ink.
