It’s kind of ridiculous for a country to go and bomb a foreign country because they are not treating protesters well, when their own citizens are being shot in the streets for protesting against the government.

    • @nagillim7915
      @nagillim7915 Month ago

It's also kind of ridiculous to spend 3 years protesting about Palestinian civilians being killed in Gaza but then remain abjectly silent when almost as many Iranian civilians are killed in a month as were killed in the full 3 years of the Gaza conflict.
Hypocrisy abounds on all sides. 🤷‍♂️
As a Brit, i've been watching the situation in Iran since Christmas and berating my own government for doing nothing about the murder of 20-35,000 innocent protestors.
All i can say with honesty at this point is at least someone did something. Do i like Trump? Not much. But when no one else is willing to do a damn thing other than issue sternly worded letters i can't complain that it's him doing something.
Maybe if Bush, Blair and Obama hadn't destroyed all of the west's moral legitimacy in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya and Syria, then we wouldn't have spent the last decade ignoring multiple genocides going on around the world, at least half of which are supported by the Iranian government... 🤷‍♂️
But Iran supposedly had enough weapons grade uranium to build 11 nukes, and were negotiating with China to buy long range ballistic missiles that would've been able to reach western Europe.
If my fellow Europeans can't see any problem with that then they clearly still haven't wrapped their brains around the mindset of the religious fanatics controlling Iran who want to die killing non-believers and who see mutually assured destruction as another form of martyrdom and a guarantee of an eternity in paradise...
But it's past time they woke up and understood that islamists want to die trying to kill them. Be that at an individual level in a Christmas market or pop concert or at a national level by starting a nuclear armageddon that wipes them off the map along with the nonbelievers.
The Islamic belief in the afterlife is that when we die our souls stay in our bodies. That's why they can't use cremation. And when the day of judgement comes, they believe we will rise from our graves to be judged, and only at that point will most deserving souls enter heaven. But if they die as martyrs fighting the kuffar, they enter heaven straight away without having to wait in the grave for judgement day.
So in the islamist mind, being killed while doing what you believe is god's will is preferable to dying of old age because you go straight to paradise. You bypass judgement for your actions because you martyred yourself.
It doesn't actually matter whether or not that's true. All that matters is they believe it's all completely true because that's what they've been taught by trusted authority figures - parents, teachers, religious scholars - since they were old enough to understand language. They want to be martyred. It's the preferable way of dying to them.
And nuking cities in Europe or North America, knowing that the retaliatory strike will eradicate your entire nation, is just another means of dying a martyr in their minds.

@wplains lets just remind ourselves - Only one country in history has "screamed" Nato for help as you put it - The U.S. - not a European country... Th US contributes approximately 16% (about 521 million euros or $567 million) to the direct, commonly funded budget of NATO, a share it splits equally with Germany. So no - USA does not fund Nato... you are just uneducated.

Imagine a a school... out in the back of the school is a tree, with a hornets nest on it. The hornets are theoretically a danger to the children, but they are out of the way, and mostly minding their own business, and all the kids know not to disturb the hornets. Europe is like that school... The US is like a kid from a different school who turns up one day and pokes the hornets nest (Iran), and can then go back to his own school, leaving this school to have to deal with all the angry hornets...

Exactly, finally, someone really smart who figured out the True nature or reason why Trump is doing all this out of the blue. Congratulations!.
This isn't about all that nonsense that every US president spouts about "Freedom," "Democracy," blah, blah, and blah. It's about how their master, Israel, has been demanding it relentlessly for a long time. And now that two "Zio nist" presidents (one in the US and one in Israel) have finally found themselves in the power in their respective countries. They're taking advantage of the situation to create a kind of "Great Israel," annexing vast surrounding territories and anyone else can even touch them. Nothing more, nothing less.
In reality (in secret and not than in secret) Israel is the master of USA. For that reason always US helps to Israel in all Israel want, even if vulnerate the fundamental rights of other countries or it´s ethic or not, it´s to expensive or not... nothing is enough for its master Israel.
That's what it's all really about. Not Iran... but Israel.

One clarification: the two military bases that the US uses in southern Spain do not belong to the US; they are Spanish sovereign and for shared use. Their use is regulated by a bilateral agreement that determines what can and cannot be done at these bases. And one thing that cannot be done is to use them for military actions that do not comply with international law, not authorized by the UN or NATO. The US attack on Iran was not authorized by the UN or NATO (nor by the US Congress); it is a simply madness of a madman.

Patriots could prevent those Russian missiles from hitting Ukrainian civilian targets, to save Ukrainian lives and homes.

The major difference in the EU's perception of war is this: although Americans have suffered countless deaths in wars, they almost never occurred on American soil, so the context of the historical memory passed down from our ancestors is missing. The context? The destruction of your home, your school, your public squares-this is the context where the deaths occur. Multiply 9/11 by 10,000 times those who were there. Americans see the power of explosions in other people's homes but don't fully grasp the bomb falling in their backyard.

They made so many excuses as to the reason they attacked Iran and contradicted themselves every time, they didn't even get approval from congress, It was nuclear weapons yet they supposedly obliterated their ability to make them in June 2025, then it was regime change which has not happened, then it was that Israel was going to attack, so US had to attack 1st as Iran would strike the US after Israel attacks anyway so they had too, and there is more excuses, in my opinion he started the war in Iran over money and to try and distract from all the crimes they have been committing in the USA like ICE, Epstein Files, destroying your history or trying to alter it, all while trying to become another dictator while wiping his arse on your constitution, so they can avoid being held to account.

If Tyler watched that video, he wouldn't wonder why the relationship Iran and the US is so bad, that Iran took US-american hostages in the past. Iran could have been the first democracy in the middle east in 20 th century, which seperate goverment and religion from eachother, but the US had to destroy that opportunity and set up their own puppet dictaor on top of in Iran for the oil there, as Iran under democrasy wanted to nationalised their oil.🤦😅Like no respect of the souverenity of other country for oil. And that video showed at the end the irony of that.🤦😅😂Other US-american youtuber, who wanted to educate themselves has already watched that and where shocked about that.

    • @dianeshelton9592
      @dianeshelton9592 Month ago +7

@D@DamianIbberson hasn’t doubled back. The USA may not use bases in the UK to attack Iran and to try and impose regime change from the air. The war remains against international law and hence we will not allow bases to be used for that
However , the US may use our bases to help defend joint military bases ie NATO bases in surrounding countries to keep our military personnel and their families safe because defending bases from attack especially in countries that are our allies like Dubai etc. and Cyprus is not against international law and so America can use our bases for that. THATS why Trump is so cross with Starmer.
The long and the short of it the way Iran wins this war and it will because the US can’t will is by attacking surrounding countries that have aligned with the west , like Dubai that don’t have the means to defend themself , and those allied countries will put pressure on the US , financially primarily to get Trump to stop the war.

Give it a week or three and Trump will do what all American presidents have done in the past and declare that he is going to "Bring our boys home". Welcome to the real world.

As Europeans, that's precisely what infuriates us the most, regardless of whether they have any justification for their actions or not, the Trump administration is constantly trying to force us into their dirty wars, providing them with military and economic support, while publicly insulting us with supremacist rhetoric. Not only, they don't even have the decency to plan everything with us, even let alone warn us about their plans and timing. We have to find out through the public media.
If we're so pathetic and useless, as they keep saying, then why the hell do they insist on our active participation in all their utter madness? Doesn't anyone see the obvious paradox in all of this? If we're useless to them, then they should just leave us alone once and for all and go back to playing soldiers alone.
It's always the same. First of all, they drag us into wars that are none of our business, wars that only benefit them and their own ideological and economic interests. Then, when things look bleak or they're no longer interested, they simply leave overnight, abandoning everyone and leaving everything much worse than before. Because, in reality, they're like spoiled rich kids who think they own the world and can do whatever they please without giving a second thought to the truly serious consequences of their actions, and without feeling the slightest responsibility when they get bored or it's no longer convenient for them. That's the US (its puvertine elite).
    Regards.

Imagine someone you'd consider a so-so friend... Like you guys do a lot of things together and share a lot of similarities and you have their back always and they have your back sometimes. Now things are often great even though when he retells your adventures together they pretends you weren't there for anything good they achieved, but you don't really care about fame and glory and so you just let it be. Years pass and you remain great friends. You start to dress like them, you start to watch the same shows as them and while you have your differences your other friends consider you and them as indistinguishable almost.
Suddenly this friend starts bullying you, smack-talking behind your back or when they think you cant hear. You hate it but you're kind of dependent on the guy so you sort of just endure it and hope it just some phase. But months pass and it just keeps amping up and he tells you to do things you simply don't want to do. He does this most heavily with your newest friend (Ukraine) and in fact starts making friends with people you simply disapprove of. Mainly abusive people who amongst others heavily abuses your newest friend. On top of all this your friend demands money from you but tells you to give it to him in the stupidest ways and demands you buy stuff from him you don't want one bit.
Suddenly without warning in a move that resembles that of the abusive guy, your old friend attacks someone you simply KNOW is trouble, and in attacking that guy, now you're associated and asked to defend your old friend. You know you don't want to and no matter what you choose this troublesome guy is likely to leak a whole lot of problems that you don't need right now. This guy also is sort of like your shadow boss in a way as he is like responsible for all the energy you need...
Do you still like that 'friend'? Would you want to mop up his mess? Take care of the refugees he's calling into existence with energy prices soaring, as he basically sends money to Russia that Russia sends to Iran that Iran then fights you and your 'friend' with? The USA is a mess. Trump, is an orange mentally disabled turd. A senile toddler. An unlikeable paradox all on his own. Corrupt to the core, lining his pockets with money he stole from his own citizens and other countries (like Venezuela). All while his MAGots and corrupt cronies cover for him. I have gone through hell in life and sadly a handful of people were responsible for that. I hated these people a lot until I learned that in order to move on I have to let go of all that. But Trump's dumb decisions affect everyone globally, as he ruined the lives of his own citizens and got many people killed. Much like how Russians will bare the hate of entire nations for a long time to come, so will Americans. We know its not 'all'. But this is your mess... Your country voted him in, your country didn't stop him, your country caused us problems. The Dutch and the Germans have been allies for generations, but here where I live on the Dutch border, Germans are STILL being made fun of and somewhat discriminated against. Not terribly... But enough to be noticeable. You really think Americans will be treated any better after all this mess?
You wont come here of course. Americans don't travel abroad. But don't be surprised to hear in the near future, you wont be welcomed. You went into a war without authorization from your own government. Trump simply decided this on his own, warned no one, did no preparations to get his own citizens out of the middle east, didn't prepare NATO and now asks us to help while our energy prizes go up and we will likely have to take care of refugees YOU created. And then you rag on us for immigration policies and how bad things are in the EU etc. I didn't know I could hate a person this much. And I've met some HORRIBLE people. In my own family even, where things had to be settled in court and terrible awful traumatizing actions came to light. I have been bullied to the point of being beaten once a week and I disliked my bullies, sure. And I hit back here and there. But I didn't wish ill upon them... Trump though... Mister senile toddler with a tantrum. Trump, the biggest hypocrit the world has ever seen... The biggest coward with a god complex... I wish him the worst. Truly. Him and his cronies. All of them. I hope terrible things happen to them personally. ANYthing to teach them how badly they messed up their own citizens, their own country and many others globally. Im sure that Im not the only European who thinks so.

Not only did he not talk to the European and gulf countries, he didn't get permission from the US congress. He also did it in the middle of negotiations that appeared to be coming close to an agreement and without warning bombed Iran and hit a school killing over 100 children. In the meantime, his buddy, Netanyahu, used this excuse as an excuse to invade Lebanon again in an effort to take it over . Trump then gets pissed because no one wants to help. He's calling on NATO, which is an organization that responds to attacks on allies not aggressions by allies. It's an illegal war, with no grounds, Iran didn't have the ability to build nuclear weapons and that has been proven. After bullying everyone with tariffs and basically trying to blackmail everyone, he 's whining because no one will help him. So yeah, there's all that. You say a number of times that the US did not consider the consequences. Are you sure about that? What if the attack on Iran is more of a means to destabilise Europe - immigrants, countries at risk (secret services report local terrorist attacks are likely in any country openly supporting the attack), oil price increase, travel business decline, etc. All the while Russia is raking in the rewards from less attention when it comes to the "three day special operation", and countries having to buy more oil from them? On top of that, Putin is actually thinking about cutting Europe off of the oil supply... Nothing happens for no reason. It is a war when you invade another country, your President if you can call him that, is a war monger, and is like a little kid who can not have his way.

8:38 on the risk legacy board game map that place usually has the mutants sticker and light sign, like 🤔 its positioned in the Asia continent so War in the East and it has this radius of effect like a drop of water into a still pond, you can probably draw a circle and these events either unfold like animals or beings with some thought.
That tension became popcorn without radiation fallout so far.

I live in London UK I've just checked the distance between London and Tehran is 2,733 miles that is shorter then across the US, which is 28,000 to 3,000 miles. The distance from Washington and Tehran is 6,500 miles. The point I'm making is, it is easy for a simple minded people (such as the one leading the US), to put others a risk because they see that there is a buffer zone of two ocean and an extra 3,500 miles between their capitals.

@hermanjohnell2717No. ICE are well known to travel with US delegates, and have for many years.
They are not allowed to operate here in Europe in the same way they can in yankyland.
Still, hopefully if all this doesn't completely screw us, then we will be able to tell Auntie Sammy they're not ever welcome again.

@silvijepremus 1 problem Trump didn't think about is killing the Ayatollah is the equivalent of killing the Pope for Catholics. Shia Muslims make up 200 million people world wide including half a million in the US (estimated). These Shia Muslims have just had their religious leader killed and they will want retribution. Trump needs to go, he can not remain president, he is unfit for presidency.
