The Final Destination demon was after him. Luckily, Nolan was a former Green Lantern, with a will to live that even overwhelmed any foe seeking his end.
It started way back in 2004. Somebody made a fan trailer of the Green Lantern movie with Nathan Fillion naturally the trailer went viral, and everyone was clamoring to have Warner Brothers cast Nathan in their upcoming GL movie. The well the movie never happened. They got Ryan Reynolds instead and the movie kind of bombed. During that time the outcry was still heard, loud and clear, so Nathan was cast as Hal Jordan in a half a dozen justice league animated films.
