How to train arowana fish for eating pellet feed?

normally newly purchased arowana fish will not eat pellet food for 1 or 2 days. we have to starve arowana fish for one or two days to make it eat food.
if it does not work, then we have to deworm arowana fish using fish doctor paracure, stress reducer and enpr.
we can give variety food like freeze dried shrimps, freeze dried meal worms and arowana sticks
