something I just noticed, at the beginning of the video when you put your mouse over "Foam_disp_slow_00000.exr" file it says it is 96 MB. When I download the files, that file is only 27 MB. Are you using a different version? Also do you know the range of the values for the displacement? Are they from 0 to 1 or -0.5 to 0.5? that would be nice to know.
@@Elysium.4D Displacement map is just storing float values. You could make it any range. I could make a map that is fit between 0 and 1, -0.5,0.5 or -1 to 1. Since he made the maps I was wondering what the range was.
OMG! You literally saved my a##e! I'm in the middle of doing a beer glass poster render and was seriously struggling to get the foam looking good. I used photos for side and top with SSS but looks flat n boooooring. Have watched your Octane version but I use Corona Renderer, should be fairly similar. Will defo pass this link onto my 3D forum, sure you will get more happy customers, thank you and have a gooooood weekend, I certainly will now :-) John
Hi Logan. Have finished all the amends on the glass and liquid now so ready to use your foam. A quick question. I have created the foam top and added a corona milk material (with SSS), colour looks good. The shot is straight on with a small amount of foam showing above and rest of the foam on the inside glass sides. What is the best way to apply your displacement as I assume the top foam will go outwards and side foam inwards? Do I need to UV unwrap or cut the sides/top & bottom separately and use in/outward displacement maps? Hope this makes sense :-) Thanks @@logan_sprangers
Very cool! Any chance you work with RedShift and can do a tutorial?
How easy is this to implement using Red Shift?
I wonder how it will work in blender with cycles
Hello, can you share the bubble texture?
VEry nice tuto, thanks!
Wow. This is super useful.
Logan, these are siiick! unlimited uses. Thx 4 sharing! mind I ask, how did you generate these maps? houdini sim? just ae/psd?
Much appreciated Jay! They were actually made just using Mograph tools inside C4D
Purchased! amazing stuff - would love a tut to setting this up
Hello can you sell it to me too or share, am not able to buy. Please its really needed.
This is awesome.
I need more tutorials :(
Hi! How much RAM is needed for this tuto?

Always use displacement from -1 to 1 you get the best results and most control if you understand it

You made the most technical material so cheap just for $7
It's amazing, but as much as I follow the tutorial I don't get a result that doesn't even look like the one shown, could you help me?
This is awesome, man. I did not know this level of quality was possible for 3D rendered foam yet.

Does it work for redshift?
I believe so, if Redshift supports animated textures it should work just fine 👍
@@logan_sprangers wha tis the process to make it work in redhsift?
