Mclaren P1 GTR performance review:
With mediocre performance and barely any customization, the Mclaren P1 GTR is not worth spending 2 million. I think this statement best describes on how to drive the P1 GTR. "Drift the car before it drifts for you". It is unfortunate you can't really grip this car and it's supposed to be a track car.
Even without the handling issue, it's acceleration is very weak and it has a very tall 7th gear that makes it difficult to reach top speed. You are better off with the Ferrari FXX-K Evo, it's more reliable and it can grip!

Side note, traction control does not eliminate this issue. The grip wanting to drift physics issue occurs at high speeds in which traction control doesn't do much. The other alternative solution is using drag tires but then the car understeers so much and barely turns.

And the game was marketed that you can choose your handling type, whether Grip, Hero or Drift. A full grip still wants to drift randomly until the steering stops working for a few seconds. Must be NFS then ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

ConnerSpeed6 and the ones who always just stop for no reason in the middle of the street. I was even on the dirt once cause I drifted off road and a car even drove off the road just to stop right in front of me. They're def programmed to try and block you than just randomly existing.

My Huracan does something similar at high speeds as well. Even the smallest input in steering will cause it to enter a chain of drifting despite being tuned for max grip.
Try lowering steering sensitivity?
PLXTINUMB doesn’t work still does it with lowest sensitivity
Same goes for the M3 e92 I just used it and whenever I try gripping corners with it the car just try to drift and no lowering steering sensitivity won't do shit
I put pro on road suspension and race tires on my hurrican, and it handles like a dream now. Try that setup
Ya Boi X Tried just the on road suspension to see if it actually made a difference. The p1 gtr is actually a lot more stable with just that
Edit: it’s still slides a lot but not nearly as much. It’s a lot more controllable now
so the P1GTR basically has Hot Pursuit 2010 turning physics, sweet
More like NFS Most Wanted 2012 or Rivals physics because in NFS Hot Pursuit to drift you have to turn car in large angle to drift.

This car is actually extremely good... I took some time and actually practiced with it. It does oversteer alot but... You have to let off the turn on the joystick and let the oversteer take you through the turn and correct itself. This car is a beast if you really take time with it.

This debate about Evo IX vs RSR is ridiculous. I can't wait until he does a comparison for all of those who just refuse to accept the RSR is superior around a CIRCUIT race. Yes we all know the Evo has incredible acceleration but around a track with corners it won't beat it.

I tried traction control on, it didn't really help especially since it occurs mostly at high speeds. Also enabling traction control makes the car harder to drift which you don't really want that as you need to microdrift to keep this car under control. Also I did not try the engine swaps yet, but it's LS V8 swap and Viper V10... I will get flack for doing such sinful swaps.
@@IsuckAtDriving As a quick question, isad. have you tried driving the car in automatic? only reason I ask is because the normal P1 rev bombs the first two gears then it's fine after that and wondered if the P1 GTR did the same

GRID 2 is so good though; I love the handling in that game, and if I were designing a modern NFS, I’d want the drifting to feel exactly like that game. There’s a ton of weight to the drifting, and it’s not very fast either. The only thing I’d change is giving cars more grip so that you don’t have to drift every corner unlike GRID 2 (even though I still don’t mind that).
I struggle to understand why people hate GRID 2 so damn much, it’s really not a bad game (beside Codies’ shitty DLC model that was in full effect with that game). It seems to me that the same people that don’t like it are the ones that have been screaming DRIFT BAD for the past decade for NFS games as well.
People really have something against drifting in arcade racers, acting like it’s not something that’s been part of the arcade racer DNA since basically the beginning of the genre. Everyone longs for a new Midnight Club but seems to forget that the MC series had you drifting corners very often (and even less realistically than modern NFS). Guess people got spoiled by Black Box and never touched any other arcade racers besides NFS.
@@Brawltendo In fairness the way people like to fly around a corner is all subjective - Lewis Hamilton wouldn't be the biggest fan of the D7 Drifters and vice versa just due to how they grew up with certain ways of handling. But I see the game's appeal to some degree.

The entire game has strange physics. Just can’t imagine how good nfs would be with more believable physics than what It has now like Forza Horizon.

Too bad this car flops. I really love McLaren. Was the first high end car i bought in game.
The Lambo Huracan also has this issue. So strange. The car grips at low speeds but at high speeds, meaning 250 km/h+, it starts drifting if you try to corner too hard, it can make taking tight corners easier but on easy corners it's tail will just flip around like a swimming fish, it sucks to drive.
I noticed this when I was tailing the GTR ai on the Discovery race. On turns where it didn't need to drfit (mild corner) they drifted. (in contrast to the other ai which gripped through some

Theoretically you could say that's the devs trying to simulate how a RWD car responds to full throttling a corner it can't reasonably grip through, but because it's inconsistent among the cars and doesn't change with traction control, it's likely a gap in the physics platform they use

The basic Huracan does the same thing, it drifts when you try to grip
Huracan is for weird reason RWD in this game maybe that's why. Try Hurracan Performante and it's a different story altogether on how that car handles lol.
The problem I have is all AWD cars in NFS Heat feel strange. They have so much under steer that they feel like handling a boat and not a car -.-

Did you remove the option of 'gas to drift'. Make it break to drift maybe? I recently changed it to that and found way less drifting for my grip cars.
I always use brake to drift. And it does not disable gas to drift.

I’m not the best nfs player but I can carry my own weight until it comes to making some turns how do you drift so well with so much grip I have such hard times do you hand break ?

@IsAD Could you test the Ford GT and the F40 with hybrid engine swap next? They are not a RSR-killer, but when I tested them, I was near my Pista-time. With your driving skill you are maybe able to do better than the Pista

Evo IX with 3.8 v8 swap and ultimate + parts does the 0-60 in 1.67 and a top speed of 238 mph, you will thank me later. It humiliates the RSR. Handling is unbelievable with track modifications. Just try it
For the next vehicle you test, can u make it the evo 9 because ive seen a few vids on here saying its the rsr killer, but your know how clickbaity videos can be
At the notation 04:53 mark : I´ve seen that happened with a bunch of the High-end cars and some of the middle-ranged cars also... The back end starts to slide and steering just won´t respond... And that before you get to the Ultimate and Ultimate + parts... Faulty programming of the handling lines? Also BIG thumbs up for the Offroad version 👍🏻💯😁👌🏻

The fact that the DRS (drag reduction system aka when the spoiler moves to improve aerodynamics) isn’t actively working on this car pissed me off. I sold it hopefully this gets fixed.
With that steering problem, my LaFerarri occasionally does that as well, it's really annoying, it'll send me flying straight into a big ass fucking truck🤕

That happened to me when using my fully upgraded R32 so probably more cars face the same problem

How to you even grip the corners the way you do on this track? Does it have to do with Manuel shifting ?
Manual is better in almost in any NFS because you have better control and can be faster.
I wasn't gripping, I was microdrifting.
Oh yes I understand the micro drifting but on the other lap times with the other cars you grip pretty well but I’m thinking I can’t do the same because I’m on automatic shifting ?

Also the newer Miata is extremely grippy. It has really good acceleration and takes alot of corners without wanting to drift
