I bought this new from a "guy" and the instruction manual was ridiculous! Thanks to your video I was able to navigate through all the menus and get this set up. I look forward to putting it in the truck then reviewing the footage, going on a big road trip I need all the safety precautions I can get! Cheers!
Light frequency refers to 60HZ, (Hertz) the USA...AC Electical Standard. Believe it or not, even incandescent light bulbs are turning on and off at 60 times per second...IF, only our eyes could detect it. 50Hz is used in many other countries which means that their generators are turning at a slower speed compared to 60Hz. This setting is provided in order for the camera to sync with the light frequency, otherwise you will notice fluttering on the video.....OTHER THAN THAT, You provided an excellent video.
Thanks for the video. For some reason, most don't want to explain the menus but IMO, that is what everyone has the most problem figuring out. You answered a lot of my questions. But, not sure why you turned into a talking chipmunk at the end. Other than the unwanted chipmunk, two thumbs up.

I have just bought a cheap dashcam from ebay and couldn't fathom out how it works. The instructions that came with it were for a different dashcam and in tiny blurred writing, therefore useless. The buttons on your SV S108 are roughly similar to mine so your clear explanation gave me a better idea of how mine works, until your voice went all funny... thanks for the video.
As far as I can tell you need to check if your SD card is write protected, if it is then find out how to remove write protection otherwise it won't record over the existing files on a loop, it will just fill up the space on the SD card then stop recording.
This unit is similar to mine.. and the manual in mine is completely unintelligible. Thanks for clarifying some features I couldn't figure out... Can someone explain why the 'OK' button is on the other side of the camera from the menu and up/down buttons? Weird... Oh.. And interesting you chose to have Donald Duck complete the video.. ;-)
Thank you for the explanation. I guess it comes down to a matter of choice. Maybe I am expecting too much from them, probably feeling like I want my money's worth. There are some new generations about to emerge on the market soon. Eventually, everyone will have one, just like the cell phones.

As far as I've seen all dash cam have this nearly exact menu system. Though the physical buttons on this model is not as convenient as the Rexing v1. Thing said it has night vision on the advertisement. I buy it. Check the footage and at night there ia no infared footage and its just putch black😃 wow
Can you help me,recently i receive a message memory error ,every time i start my car it wont start recording.i use a class10 SD card 16GB is my card problem or my dash cam.
Watched these & many others. Too much backlash & glare in night driving. I haven't come across any that I would settle on yet, including the dual camera set ups. The better ones seem to be the over $300. Units. Too expensive.
Personal opinion. To my knowledge there are no "night vision" camera, thus the $100 true 1080p camera's are just as good as the $300. I experimented briefly with a rear camera, quickly came to the conclusion that a rear camera had a few drawbacks. 1) it didn't provide any context to the driving situation like the front camera does, such as not showing the traffic light or for that matter any signs 2) at night the rear camera did not have headlights to illuminate the road, and thus were always black. Even in the case where you are rear ended, the front camera gives more context to the accident than the rear camera.
This is exactly what I was looking for. I needed to setup my dash cam and had lost the instruction manual. Thanks!

My camera keeps saying sd card is full. I have it on 3 min loop recording. Do you know why the old videos are not deleting automatically?

You can only know by using another SD Card and experimenting. Use a high Quality card, do not use unknown brands.

A cheap piece of junk camera. Get an old used iPhone and use one of the free apps. This is a waste of money.
